I grew up in Indiana but spent most of my
summers running around the Wisconsin northwoods. My
father used to lead canoeing and camping trips into
Wisconsin and Michigan almost every summer so I was
teethed on loon tremolos with the scent of white pines
in the air. Once I graduated from college, there was no
question in my mind where I was going to live. I moved
to Wisconsin in 1981 and have lived here ever since.
Living in Wisconsin is sort of like being on vacation
every day! *<:-D

This is Dad and me preparing for a trip on the
Tippecanoe River in Indiana in 1970. As a kid, much of
my camping was in relatively developed environments.
Nowadays, I'm trying to get further away from people
and roughing it a bit more. All of my camping is "tent"
camping and it virtually always involves access to some
large body of water.
