USS Nile Medals

These are the medals given to players for their excellent participation in the game, and when their actions deserve to be recognized. Each medal represents a different meaning.

Medal of Recognition

The Medal of Recognition is given out once a month to a player who has shown the most interest and thought input in the game. The color of the ribbon is the same as the winner’s uniform color. The gold, silver, or bronze metal on the bottom represents the level of recognition he or she receives, gold being the highest, and bronze being the lowest. Even at bronze though, the accomplishment is very exciting and to be congratulated.

Medal of Excellence

The Medal of Excellence, the medals with the black stripes down the ribbon face, is given to those who have extensive service to the game (I.E., bringing in new people, contributing a great deal to the story line, etc). Like the Medal of Recognition, the color of the ribbon is the same as the winner’s uniform color, and the gold, silver, or bronze metal on the bottom represents the level of recognition he or she receives. This award is rarely given.

Medal of Special Award

The Medal of Special Award, the medal with white stripes down the ribbob face, is given only when the character that does something that does not have cause to be awarded the Medal of Recognition or the Medal of Excellence, but has done something of great importance. It is given to individuals who go out of their way to improve game play and entertainment of the game, come up with good ideas, have good character development and/or relationships, and etc. The rating system for gold, silver, and bronze are the same as the other medals.

There is also an award for the best Post Of The Month, shown at the bottom. When a member of the crew wins an award, it is displayed at the bottom of their bio.

All of the medals and the Post Of The Month Award banner are archived below in order of color and rank.
