Student Activities:

    1. Contact a member of your Section's ARES staff if necessary, and develop an ARES organizational chart of all established ARES staff and ARRL section support staff. Show names and call signs. Briefly describe how your own position is related to those on the chart. Share this with your mentor. (If there is no active ARES group in your area, this activity is not required. Please let your mentor know.)

    2. Assuming that you are in a position of authority, how many individuals can you comfortably supervise? Tell why. What is this concept called? Share your answers with your mentor.

    3. During disasters, ARRL Headquarters publishes Official Bulletins (SITREPs). List the means (i.e., the steps and/or procedures) by which a SITREP would reach you. Share this with your mentor.
