How to get to Pulau Kapas

First, you need to get to the NEW MARANG JETTY as the point of departure to Pulau Kapas is the NEW MARANG JETTY.

By Air:

If you choose to get to Pulau Kapas by air, you will need to first take a flight to KUALA TERENGGANU AIR PORT. [ photo , photo ]

Malaysia Airlines fly 3-4 times a day, there are more flights on public holidays. Check www.malaysiaairlines.com for more information.

Budget airlines Air Asia also fly there. Currently, Air Asia flies into Kuala Terengganu twice in a day. Air Asia also flies more frequently to Kuala Terengganu on public holidays Refer to www.airasia.com

If you are travelling from overseas, you can get to KLIA and take a connecting flight to Kuala Terengganu Airport straightaway. Please take note that for the two airlines, the departure and arrival times are different.

From the airport, take a taxi by purchasing a coupon (fixed price of RM 40/- at the moment) to New Marang Jetty. Then, look for the sign Suria Link for speedboat across to island.

At the New Marang Jetty, please contact : Zakaria at Suria Link [ photo ] for speedboat [ photo ] across. Cost RM30/- return, child half price. Journey takes 10 minutes. The Boat normally leaves at 9.00am but once there are enough passengers it will leave immediately. On Public holidays, the boats will leave earlier. special arrangements can be made to depart at your convenience but must have enough passengers

By Bus & Coach:

From Singapore
Transnational Bus departs from Kallang.

From Kuala Lumpur
Transnational Bus from Putra World Trade Centre. Twice a day in the night.

***please tell the bus driver where you are going and he will stop you at the traffic lights. From there, it's just 5 mins down the hill. Otherwise, the bus proceed to Kuala Terengganu and you have to back track to Marang, using a Taxi (you'd have to pay)

From Penang
The bus uses the East West Highway via Kota Bharu to Kuala Terengganu Town. Take a taxi to Marang Jetty. Present price RM 5.00.

There are no train services to Marang!!!

Food & Drinks:
