Tiran was born and grew up in the Cardassian capital city. When he was still an infant, the Klingons invaded Cardassian space and laid waste to most of that city. Tiran was lucky to have survived it but his mother, two sisters and his brother did not. It is for this reason that Tiran has a immense hatred towards all Klingons. Only his father, Kell Lanik, survived. Kell Lanik was once the Chief Archon, which means even though Tiran's family had mostly been wiped out in the Klingon attacks it was still in high respect and standing on Cardassia. When Tiran was of age, he immediately joined the Military and became Assistant Political Officer on an outpost in the Chin`Toka system, which was a highly disputed system during the Dominion war. When Tiran was offered the position of Political Officer on Penok`Nor, "the Military capital of the Hivali sector and home to the second order", he could not resist. He immediately moved to Penok`Nor. |
