Tai Chi Chuan is a Martial Art, in fact the name is translated as Supreme Ultimate Fist or Boxing. Tai Chi Chuan is one of the most complex and hardest Martial Arts to learn, due to the practitioner having to learn to control their internal Qi or energy.
Most Practitioners of Tai Chi are just learning their style’s form which is great because there are many health benefits associated with this, but in reality they are only learning 20 percent of their art. There is still Push Hands, Free Fighting and of course the weapons associated with Tai Chi Chuan such as the staff, broad sword, straight sword and spear.
The International Tai Chi Boxing Association is designed for those practitioners who practice the whole art, or want to learn the whole art.
