December 3 – Flemington Holiday Events starting at 3:00. Join us for all or any of the activities starting with the free holiday concert by the Whitehouse Wind Symphony Orchestra at the Historic Hunterdon County Courthouse (Court St & Main). The concert starts at 3:00 but get there early to get a seat and look for fellow walking club members. After the concert, we can walk around town together while waiting for the parade to start at 5:00 depending on how much time we have. Although the parade may go until 7:00, we plan on socializing at Capuano Ristorante Italiano, 67 Church St. (in strip mall next to Little Brothers) BYOB at 6:15 rain or shine. It might be a good idea to park there before the concert and walk to the courthouse (10 minute walk) so you can walk back along the parade route to the restaurant and have your car there after dinner. If not, be aware that Main St. (and Church St. from Main to Liberty Village, not past restaurant) will be closed by 4:00 until after the parade. Some of us plan to meet in front of Capuano’s to leave by 2:30 for concert.

December 10 - Walk at 3:00 - HOFFMAN PARK - Take Route 78 West to Exit 12 (NOT Pattenburg exit 11 because bridge is out) Turn left onto NJ 173, then left at light to cross 78. Turn right at next light onto Frontage Rd. Keep left by the burned church onto Baptist Church Rd. and follow this road for approximately one mile. The park is on your left. Meet in the parking lot. Socialize at the Clinton Station Diner on 173 near Exit 13 at 4:15 rain or shine. (From walk, go back to 173 by crossing 78 at exit 12 and follow 173 east as it goes straight into the diner parking lot - since there is no exit 13 going east on 78)

December 17 - Walk at 3:00 - CREEK ROAD/ FRENCHTOWN BORO PARK Take Rt. 513 from Clinton to Frenchtown. When you come down the hill into Frenchtown, turn left at blinking light. Go over small bridge and turn left into park. (Or, from Flemington, take Rt. 12 and turn right before bridge just before light.) We may do the walk behind the playground and on a trail through the woods instead of just walking on Creek Road depending on the trail condition so wear appropriate footwear. Socialize at Artie’s Bar and Grill, 1121 Route 12 Frenchtown (about one mile east of Frenchtown on Rt. 12, on left as you go east towards Flemington at 4:15 rain or shine.
