Oct. 4 - Walk at 4:00 LOANTAKA BROOK RESERVATION PARK, Morristown/ Party at Nancy H’s house, Chatham - Note the time change for this event!. Meet at 3:00 if you wish to carpool at Clinton Commuter Lot (across from McDonald's). Party at Nancy’s house at 5:00

Directions to the walk: Take 287 north, get off at exit 35, South Street Madison 124. Get in right hand lane. Turn right onto South St. Drive south on South Street (away from Morristown). Continue on South St. You will see a brown sign – Seton Hackney Stables - on your left. Soon after, you will see another brown sign – Loantaka Brook Reservation. This is where we will walk. There is parking, restrooms and trails.

Oct. 11 - Walk at 5:00 - MORALES NATURE PARK – Take Route 12 towards Frenchtown. Turn right at 1^st light on to Old Croton Rd. Then right turn on to Capner Street, parking lot is on the right. Or Main St. Flemington, to Capner St. (near courthouse), go about a mile, parking lot will be on left. Socialize at Angelo’s (Italian restaurant, 908-788-3889 • 164 Highway 31, south of Minneakoning Rd., south of hospital). BYOB, at 6:00 rain or shine.

Oct. 18 – Walk at 5:00 - MERRILL CREEK - Take Route 78 West to Exit 4. At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn right toward Stewartsville. Go into village to overhead light and turn right. Follow this road until the end at Route 57 and make a very quick right and left onto Montana Road (just a zig-zag). Go approximately two miles. Take the left onto Richline Road to the park. Follow signs and turn right into parking lot to meet in front of the main building. Socialize at Sebastiano’s, 2537 State Highway 57 (at intersection of Montana Rd. (Stewartsville Rd. on south side of 57) and Hwy. 57, Stewartsville, 908-387-8400 at 6:00 rain or shine.

TIME CHANGE FOR THE WALKS!!

Oct. 25 – Meet at 3:00 -Mega Corn Maze at Grochowicz Farms (2401 Rte. 31S) in Glen Gardner. Instead of a walk, we will attempt to find our way through a mega corn maze! Cost is $8 which also includes an entertaining hay ride etc. Meet there at 3:00. The corn maze can be challenging (there’s a junior one for kids or the lazy!) so we will probably be there about 2 hours if we do the hay ride too. Take Route 31 north towards Washington. It is 5.6 miles north of Clinton. Look for the Grochowicz Farm Market, a white building with green roof and trim. It is on your left before the Hudson United Bank directly across from the working farm. Socialize at Sunset Inn on Route 31 S. (about 4 miles south of the corn maze before turnoff for High Bridge) around 5:00 rain or shine.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS

Nov. 1 - Walk at 3:00 ROUND VALLEY RESERVOIR - Take Route 22; west of Lebanon, look for signs for Round Valley. Turn right or take the jughandle left, depending on your direction and follow the road to Round Valley. Take a left onto Cherry Street at boat ramp sign. The boat ramp entrance will be to your immediate right. Socialize at Miller’s Tavern just off Annandale exit of Rte.22 west at 4:00 rain or shine.

Nov. 8 - Walk at 3:00 - PRALLSVILLE MILL, Stockton, NJ. Directions: From Flemington, take Rt. 523 south through Sergeantsville to Stockton. At stop sign (old garage on right). Turn right onto Rt. 29 follow Rt. 29 a short way to Prallsville Mill on left. Park in lot. Socialize at Maria Rosa Restaurant & Pizza (788-4945) just north of Sergeantsville on Rte.523/Sergeantsville Rd., or about 5 miles south of Flemington (restaurant is on left a few miles before Sergeantsville.) BYOB, at 4:00 rain or shine.

Nov. 15 - Walk at 3:00 SPRUCE RUN – Take Rt. 31 north from Clinton. At third traffic light north of Rt. 78, turn left onto Van Syckles Road, go to the main entrance to Spruce Run on left. Meet in the 1st parking lot after booth. Socialize at Tuscany Grill at corner of Van Syckles and Route 31 N. at 4:00 rain or shine.

Nov. 22 - Walk at 3:00- FRENCHTOWN RIVERWALK / PRE-THANKSGIVING TURKEY DINNER AT DIANA'S ON THE DELAWARE. Take Rt. 513 from Clinton to Frenchtown. (or from Flemington, Rte. 12 West, turn left at Frenchtown blinking light) Then turn left on Route 29, go approximately 1.3 miles to boat ramp (on right side, park in lot.) Socialize at Diana’s On The Delaware Pre-Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner-BYOB $5 with dish, $10 without, at 4:00 rain or shine. RSVP to Diana:

Nov. 29 - Walk at 3:00 VOORHEES STATE PARK - From 31, take 513 N through High Bridge several miles towards Califon. Turn left into main parking lot across from Voorhees HS. Socialize at Casola’s, Rte. 513 Califon, on left in first strip mall (across from Rite-Aid). BYOB at 4:00 rain or shine.

Dec. 6 -Walk at 3:00 – LAMBERTVILLE/NEW HOPE WALK- Meet in front of the Lambertville Station Restaurant. There is free public parking in the rear, past the restaurant lot (tell them that’s where you are going!). We will walk through the towns, enjoying the holiday decorations. Socialize at Marhaba Middle Eastern Restaurant, 77 S Union St. (609) 397-7777 BYOB at 4:00 rain or shine. (former site of Moustache’s http://www.marhabalambertville.com/ - just opened, good reviews, very reasonable)

We are planning either a Halloween in-house party or to attend a party in a public establishment. Halloween night, Oct. 31^st- Details to follow!!!
