The
Hunterdon Walking and Social Club
Looking to meet the Hunterdon County “over 35” singles in a relaxed and hassle-free environment? Well, the Hunterdon Walking and Social Club (HWSC) one of Central New Jersey’s best-kept secrets may be just the place.
Founded in 1995 the non-profit, HWSC has more than 85 active members. The club meets every Sunday for an afternoon of casual walks and socials.
“It’s really a great way to meet people,” says, Peg Marsh, one of HWSC’s founding members.
The Walks…
Walks vary from different sections of the Delaware Canal Path to the Ken Lockwood Gorge. Upcoming walks include Merrill Creek, the new Teetertown Preserve and Bull Island. 5:00pm warm weather, 3:00pm in cooler weather.
The Walks are only half the fun!
After every walk the club meets for a couple of hours of social time at any number of restaurants in the County.
From the Super Bowl to the Fourth of July…
On special occasions, the HWSC will gather at a member’s home to celebrate virtually any and every conceivable holiday or special event.
There’s even more…
Other existing events planned for this summer include: a day trip to Philadelphia, catching a ball game at Commerce Park and every Thursday nights it’s concerts at Deer Path Park.
