Text Box: Ken Hutchinson

I have often found life really boring.  I have found a love of theatre, film, stage magic, as well as the Medieval period.

At age 30 I collapsed feeling that there was nothing left to strive for, and at age 50 I sat about for several weeks waiting for the Angel of Death to pick me up on his or her rounds.  When no one came and I didn’t die I decided that I had best get on with living.

As a minister I serve a little historical church founded by those fun loving, beer drinking mystical Germans known as the Zoarites.  I do quite well here.  I am quite good at ritual and this is what they had been looking for in a pastor.

God is an important part of my life. Theologically I am an eclectic I have worked with pastors, priests, and rabbis of many faiths.  I maintain friendships with the neo pagan groups as well.  I believe in the many cords of life which bind us.

I have not taken aging well.  As a child I strived to quantum leap into adulthood.

A life time of classic horror films, occasions of being with friends who have passed on while I have held their hand and being stood up by the Angel of Death has given me a better perspective on growing older and facing my own death.
