Added to this my parent’s teachings and witness that anything is possible I grew up a person who was fascinated with life and knowledge. In all fields a little reading, even with obscure subjects found me thirsty to learn more. In temperament I am afraid that I am a fellow of extremes . . . My dear wife has commented that living with me is like walking down the street with a helium balloon on a string. One has to keep pulling it down as it keeps trying to climb into the sky. I identify with Mr. Poe because at points I feel I am suffering from melancholia. |
