Summit County offers a wide variety of year around activities. In addition to downhill skiing, winter choices include cross country skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating, snowshoeing, sledding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, etc. Both Breckenridge and Silverthorne have excellent indoor health clubs with aerobic exercise, weights, pools, saunas, racquetball, etc.

Spring, summer, and fall activities include mountain biking, horseback riding, golf, boating, fly-fishing, white-water rafting, kayaking, off-road driving, music, art-festivals, food-tasting, rock-climbing, Alpine slide, hot-air balloon, free disk, gold mines and historic towns. Shop Silverthorne’s Factory Outlet Mall with more than 100 stores and Breckenridge and Frisco’s unique specialty shops. Some just seek a break from the heat of lower elevation climates.

For biking and hiking enthusiasts, the Summit County extensive paved bike path winds 55 miles through connecting towns and resorts. The path can be accessed within feet of the complex. For water lovers, two Marina’s are located within a few minutes drive for kayak, pontoon, sail and motorboat rentals. A Golfer’s dream can come alive at the county’s five golf courses where, because of high altitude and thin air, your golf ball may fly as much as 15 percent farther than at sea level!

Whatever your activity may be, afterwards, experience one of the area’s many restaurants, breweries, or night clubs, relax in the an outdoor hot tub, grill in the BBQ area, or savor the majestic Rocky Mountain view from the patio.

When you choose our "home away from home", we’ll also provide you with maps, vacation guides, and ideas of things to do. Since we spend so much time here, we know many of the "local secrets" and we’re always discovering more (for example, a June vacation may allow you to mountain bike at Keystone one day and then snow ski at Arapaho Basin the next!)
