All you've Never wanted to know about working in Retail

I have been in retail for over 6 years. September 15, 1997-October 11, 1998; I worked for Wal~Mart. And from November 21, 1998 till the present (February 2003), I have been at Rite Aid. I do not work in the pharmacy--I am a Front End Key Cashier--NOTE: we are now called "Shift Supervisors", instead of Key Cashiers. I'm not sure why they changed it, but it does sound more impressive! LOL

Now, don't get me wrong, it's not all bad working in retail. There are customers I look forward to seeing, and ones that are always fun. There's the old guy who always have a "groaner" joke to laugh at. We have sweet little old ladies, and one pair of best friends who I see my (and Tanya's) future in! There's the lovable grouch, and the weekly rebate/sale shopper. Most of the time, they're all okay. It's a sad, sad thing that a few people can ruin the environment by being rude or nasty. Read about some of the nastier customers in "Dumb Customer Tricks".

Ah yes, the Film Counter. I am fully trained on a Kodak MasterLab Gretag machine. Sounds impressive, huh? It just means I can develop 35mm film (and now, APS AND Digital). And even though it's supposed to be One Hour, per roll of film, my record is 8 in 1 hour. Go me!
