NUUK Xposed!

NUUK Xposed! is created in true dedication to the wonderful NORTH. As of Jan. 29th '05, there are so far, just shy of 1,000 images (730+/- of them taken by me) accessible from this page...and the number is continuing to grow. This site will also be indeed, one of the most extensive pages on the internet dedicated to Nuuk, with a large archive of over 360+ pictures (of the nearly 1,000 pictures) are all taken from various parts of the town itself - from traffic camera's, to various buildings and neighbourhoods. My personal Nuuk picture archive is not intended to impress ones who are searching after professional photography of this specific region, but to those who simply want to get a deeper perspective of the infrastructure in Nuuk...probably without even needing to go there ;-) This site will show you photo's from just about almost every corner of town, not to mention a glimpse of the natural environment that surrounds it. Please click one of the links below to view the various galleries.

In addition to Nuuk, you will also find numerous photo galleries covering Kangerlussuaq & the Ice Cap (Greenland), and also several areas in Northern Canada (including Baffin Island and Yukon Territory). This site will be updated whenever I get more Northern photo's in.

Recently, Mario Jannelli (Italy), a friend of mine, has permitted me to put up his great pictures from his 2004 Greenland adventure. Veronique Dider (U.K.) has also kindly asked if I could post up her photo's from Uummannaq and among other places. Now, I have over 125+ new images in total, from various parts of Western Greenland. All were taken in winter. You will find the links as you scroll down my page. To make things even better, Jason Aucoin (USA) has allowed me to put up a link to his galleries (an additional 110+ photo's) from Iceland and East Greenland. Thanks for the help in expanding Nuuk Xposed! ;-)

I may be willing to post some photo's or links to photo's of Alaska, Northern Canada (Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Nunavik, and Newfoundland & Labrador), Greenland, Iceland, Northern Norway (incl. Jan Mayen & Svalbard), and Arctic Russia (from Murmansk to the Siberian region, incl. Wrangel Island). Whether POLAR or Sub-POLAR, I will never get enough of it!

This will be one of the most extensive photo website on Nuuk one will ever find on the internet. Most of the pictures to be put on here were taken during the summer of 2004. Unfortunately, there will be no winter photo's at this moment. Though this website is made by an amatuer and is not as fancy and attractive as others, my photo's will at least give an in-depth view of the capital of Greenland, and as well as its suburbs, Nuussuaq and Qinngorput. You will find a good collection of photos of various buildings, road systems, and the nature that surrounds the city. Lately, I've also added various photo's from Kangerlussuaq, a major transportation hub serving many communities - it being only 1 of 3 international airpots in the country. On the Canadian side, you'll find aerial photo's over Iqaluit and parts of Baffin Island (taken on the way to Greenland). But the largest Canadian photo collection I have is found under the Yukon Territory pages. Once I have time to scan my other hard copies of my photo's, you will also get a good outlook on areas in Northern Norway. Hopefully, this website will survive through til I get a chance to travel more extensively around Northern Canada, and as well as other parts of Greenland. Great photo opportunities are awaiting...

Jeg er amatør når det gjelder nettsider, men jeg vil i hvert fall gi dere flott utsikt av Grønnlands hovedstaden, Nuuk, inkludere bygdene Nuussuaq og Qinngorput. Her, kan man finne forskjellige bilder av byggninger, veier og kjørebaner, og naturomgivelser som omringer byen. I tillegg til Nuuks bilder, kan du også finne mange bilder fra Kangerlussuaq.
Men denne netsiden er ikke helt om Grønnland. Jeg har også lagt ut mange bilder fra Canada, f.eks luftbilder over Iqaluit & Baffin Island, og Yukon Territory.
