Operations Manager Miami/International Branch/ Delray: Warehousing, transportation, inventory control, regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT), customer service, dispatching, billing, and all finished goods outbound-logistics related functions.

n     Consolidated International and Domestic (Miami) operations in order to achieve resource optimization (inventory, warehouse, transportation and personnel).

n     Improved internal controls in order to regain manageability and achieve internal corporate operational standards.

n     Improved customer service as part of an overall effort to improve financial branch performance (Miami Branch awarded 2003 Legacy Award)

June 1998 – April 2001 Nestle Venezuela, S.A. Caracas, Venezuela

National Distribution Manager: Warehousing, transportation, billing, and accounts receivables, and all finished goods outbound-logistics related functions, managing US$ 2.5M annual budget.

n     Restructured operations to downsize from 21 stock points and 254 people, to 7 stock points and 165 people, while keeping Distribution Costs and Service Levels as budgeted.

n     Established ground for continuos improvement in controls and operations, which will lead to additional cost reductions in subsequent years.

Aug. 1996 – April 1998 FUNDES Venezuela Caracas, Venezuela

Country General Manager of a Swiss-Venezuelan US$1.6M funded private foundation aiming to promote development of small and medium size businesses.

n     Developed and executed Business Plan for two years, restructuring Venezuelan operations to newer lines of business where profitability could be achieved, including development of both the Consulting Practice and the Small Business Training Practice.

n     Successfully started own company, obtaining above expected sales and margins while operating the company.

Products Division Consulting Manager.

n     Successfully conducted consulting projects at several manufacturing and service companies, delivering final products on time and in budget.   Industries/companies attended included textiles, discrete/repetitive metalwork, food processing, utilities, and construction, among others.  Projects dealt with reengineering core business processes and other profit improvement initiatives.

March 1988 – Dec. 1990 Madosa (Former G.E./Admiral Venture) Caracas, Venezuela

Corporate Planning Manager / Production Control Manager of largest home appliance manufacturer in Venezuela at that time.

n     As Corporate Planning Manager, devised and implemented new strategies for planning and controlling all manufacturing sites nationwide.  Developed, disseminated and controlled corporate policy aiming to optimize manufacturing resources.

n      As Production Control Manager, acted as lead user in the implementation of new MRP-II manufacturing system.
