Avalanche Safety for Skiers, Climbers and Snowboarders

This is definitely one of the more well known books on avalanche safety. Inside, Tony Daffern deals with the basics such as the detection of suspect slopes, avoidance and rescue. It even includes snowboarders among the growing list who are at risk of avalanches. If you have read my trip report for the bow hut, you will notice the front cover of this book, which shows the final bowl beneath the hut. Can you spot the tiny skiiers running away?
