I would like to thank all those who have passed on to me this attraction for the mountains. We can trace it back to when my grandfather (above picture) climbed Sulphur mountian back at a tender age in the 1921. From there, he passed it to my dad and his 5 brothers, although my Dad and his twin brother Doug pursued it to the fullest. From the first time Dad climbed Mount Rundle in 1954 to now, he speculates having climbed over 200 mountains, and therefore inevitably this passion ends up with me. I would also like to thank my dad for being the photographer that he is. All of the pictures with the exceptions of the ones taken on Scout trips were taken by him. He has carefully recorded all of his hikes and climbs since the 80's, therefore allowing me to be able to create this website for you. I would like to thank all those who have hiked with me, as I am undoubtedly a pain in the butt.(what else am I going to say?) I would also like to thank my mom for actually allowing me to do this stuff. I guess I'll just have to wait 'til I move out to start doing the more serious stuff! back to home page
