Slow Down, this is Molokai. |
The trip to the island of Molokai was interesting because it was the most boring day I have ever spent in a foreign country. Seriously, there was nothing to do but visit a macadamia nut farm and a very bad restaurant. Actually, to be fair, if you are into snorkelling or water sports, Molokai is the place to be (and Maiu too of course). |

The Phallic Rock. |
It was said women who touched this rock would become pregnant. Needless to say, I kept a safe distance behind my camera lens. |

Kalaupapa Lookout |
If you turned right, you would have walked up a path in the forest to this lookout. Below was a colony of lepers (actually, I believe they still live there, at least those that are still alive). |

Haleakala Mountain |
A dormant volcano on Maiu. We drove over this volcano on the way to "Hana". An isolated part of Maiu where some Hollywood celebrities live and home to some of Maiu's best natural attractions. |

The view from the road to 'Hana'. |
The road is a tight two lane round that winds around cliffs on the volcano. It is dangerous for normal cars. We hired a driver and a 4-wheel drive car to get to 'Hana' and it was a little scary at times. |

People actually live in complete isolation in various parts of the road to 'Hana'. I took this picture as you can see a house and a 4-wheel drive parked in front which shows that the house is inhabited. |

Old Lahaina Luau |
A 'luau' is a festival where a hawaiian family invites you to dinner. Except we paid for this invitation and it wasn't issued by a Hawaiian family, but by a Hawaiian business.
The following pictures show the location of one of the luau's we attended. |
