Jumuah

Bismillaah. Alhamdhu’lillah, many Brothers and Sisters are making use of this prayer room to offer their Salah, especially during Zuhr time. So in order for us to be able to pray collectively, and establish the Fardh Salah in Jama’ah in a more organised manner, it has been decided that there will be one official Jama’ah for Zuhr, depending upon availability of individuals, insha’Allaah. It will be at:

1:00pm*

*When time is altered for the Summer season, the Jama’ah will be at 1:20pm

If we all strive to attend and establish the Salah in Jama’ah, than we will be more organised and everyone will know at the time they can come and participate and gain reward of praying in Jama’ah, insha’Allaah. Also with the Fardh Salah there are nafl salah which are highly recommended by the Messenger of Allah (s), which many of us neglect and overlook due to time and work circumstances. If one makes a habit of not  praying the nafl prayers before and after the fardh, than it is a problem that needs to be looked at and rectified.

Umm Habiba (r) the Mother of the Believers narrated: She heard Allah’s Messenger (s) say, “Whoever prays twelve (voluntary) Rak’at in a day and a night, a house will be built for him in Paradise”.    (Reported by Muslim and At Tirmidhi)

These are called Rawathib Sunan which are 12 rak’at in total: two before Fajr, four before Duhr, two after Duhr, two after Maghrib and two after Isha. These are to be prayed regularly before and after the fardh and not to be neglected as they make up for the short comings of the fardh Salah. The second type of Sunan are not as regular as the Rathibah. These total 20 rak’at: four before Duhr, four after Duhr, four before Asr, four after Mahrib and four after Isha.

The Prophet (s) said, “The first deed for which man will be called to account for on the Day of Resurrection, will be the Salah. If it is found to be sound, he will be prosperous and successful. But if it is found defective, he will be unfortunate and a loser. If there is any shortcomings in the obligatory salah of a person, Allah will say to His Angels; ‘See whether my slave has offered any voluntary Salah, so that this may make up for the deficiency in the fardh’. Then the rest of his actions will be treated in the same manner”.        (Reported by Abu Dawud and An Nasaa’i)

By establishing a fixed time, we will know at the time the fardh Salah is and be able to participate on time. Those of us who may have time in our hand can come early give the Adhan and be able to complement the fardh by establishing the Rawathib Sunans. May Allaah (t) expiate our sins, reward us and elevate our ranks and bestow His mercy upon us all. Aameen.

And all praises and thanks are due to Allah, the Lord of the Alamin

(mankind, Jinn and all that exists).
