| It's been a long time. Since discovering the Borg homeworld destroyed, we have enjoyed almost 75 years of relative peace. Skirmishes with the Romulans and the newly remilitarized Cardassians have been minimal and easily contained. We never worried about what it was that had brought the Borg to their knees... at least until it came after us. We thought THEY were our biggest problem. We know know now we were wrong. We know we should never have laughed off the fate of the hapless Golgafrinchans. Enormous mutant star goats ARE real. And somewhere in our galaxy, one may be looking for a bit of a snack. It could be on it's way to Earth even now. Look carefully. Between it's blood red fangs you may see a little bit of what remains of the USS Conquest. |
