Good morning, Mr. Phelps. As you know, Mom's
mission is obvious. Dad's mission, though easier, is not without frustration
and peril. His mission, should he choose to accept it, is to turn this spare
bedroom full of extra boxes, papers, books, and storage materials into a
living, breathing nursery. Don't forget that there has been a stain problem
in the past here, so that must be combatted first. First, he must take all
of the boxes, consolodate and destroy documents no longer of use. Then,
he must move the remaining boxes somewhere else in the house for storage.
Remember, this room has been this way for the last four years. Originally
intended as a guest bedroom, it was only used that way twice in the past,
but was never "functional." Dad may, if he chooses, try to enlist
the assistance and advice of Mom. She has ideas on how to accomplish this
mission by the deadline, but is NOT allowed to move anything heavy or do
anything strenuous. She will, however, be able to take over the decorating
AFTER the furniture has been moved in. Remember, everything Dad does must
be done secretly, any failures will force this office to disavow any knowledgeof
the operation. By the way, this message will NOT self destruct in five seconds.

This is the way the room has looked for the last four years
(on occasion, it was straightened out just because we couldn't stand it)...
there's ALOT to go through here! If we didn't know where to put it, we put
it here. What a birthday present; I get to go to work!!!!!!! We eventually
stalled on the work because we were waiting on work to be done on the carpet
stain.
Well, after great laborious effort, we managed to clear the
room. This shot shows that most of the stain was removed from the carpet.
There is still some remaining (to the left; it's orange). You can see the
new carpet swath, but over time, it will bleach out with the sunlight like
the rest of it has! We did use Lynn's rug steamer to clean this!

Well, I put the shelf back up, Wanda cleared out the closet
for me, but it's all piled up in the hallway! I moved the bookcase from
the door side to the corner. The bassinet is now in the room. It's getting
there, I just thought it looked so much better I decided to use it! Next-
we get the chair, crib, and dresser!
Mom is field testing the new chair. NOTE: This is not the baby, it's
just the cat. Athena was more than happy to volunteer for this important
role (she's about the right weight). NOT!
