Transportation Museum of Alaska.

Coleen and Bob pose in front of the office. I met Coleen and Bob in person on my Boston trip back in 1999. I was writing some articles for Coleen's RV publication at the time for Canadian Rvers wishing to work in the U.S.

Inside you will find this nice display case.

There is lots of detail here if you look real closely. Better to see this in person! Bob told me of his hard time trying to change the ballast for the light in this display. It is interesting to get some behind the scenes information.

Being into ham radio, I was interested in this display.

There are full scale trains sitting here waiting for you to explore.

Some guy converted this bus to operate on rails.

A perfect place for a hobo to hop aboard a train. Bob had to remind me that there was no climbing allowed. oOps!

An U.S. army train.

Hey Marvin, I took these fire truck pictures just for you!

Another old relic of the past.

Bob gets the job of trying to fire up some of these old engines.

And more firetrucks yet.

Bob shows me inside an old transit bus. Glad that I never had to drive any of those really old clunkers in my day.
This is one interesting piece of equipment from yesteryears.

Bob managed to get this tractor fired up after a few attempts on other tractors. He took it for a spin around the block.

A very ancient ski doo.

A German unmanned bomber plane.

I do not know the names of the planes.

I did not take notes...OOps.

You will have to fill in the blanks I guess.

Or visit the museum and see the labels.

There is a fair amount to see here.

I just had to try out this old Mack truck.

This old police car sits near the door to the museum. The museum is located a few miles north of Wasilla. There is a highway sign.
