The Titanic was planning to cross the Atlanic Ocean, stop at Ireland, and then continue its voyage until it reached its destinanation, New York City. On April 11, 1912, the Titanic left its main port in Southampton with 2,227 passangers. The Titanic, along with 1,519 of its passangers, never reached America.
