More of the hard-to-find Beyond Bree issues, the first of the equally difficult Polish Tolkien Society calendars, and the rare Mythopoeic Society The 1990 NOT Tolkien Calendar. Also, the very popular 1992 calendars issued for the Tolkien Centennial.

Rarity: 9 Based on number created (65 or 75 depending on the year), their age, and the fact that I know of only a few in the hands of collectors.

“J.R.R. Tolkien – Master of Middle Earth.” Published by Miles Kimball, Oshkosh, WI. An oddity in that the calendar went from August 1990 to August 1991. Photo of JRRT on Kodak paper. Dimensions: 10 x 20 inches (opened for hanging); metal tab with punched hanging hole; white comb-bound (see photo).

Rarity: 9 Unknown number created. I know of two copies.
1990 Mythopoeic Society
“The 1990 NOT Tolkien Calendar.” Hysterical satire (picture Gandalf et al in thongs!) Black and white illustrations by Paula Di Sante, Christine Lowentrout, Sylvia Hunnewell, Sarah Beach, Tim Callahan, Pat Wynne, Lynn Maudlin, Bonnie Callahan, Nancy-Lou Patterson. Read Lynn Maudlin's letter about it. Dimensions: 11 x 8.5 inches (w x h); stapled on the fold.

Rarity: 9 100 were created. I know of three copies.

Rarity: 8 A fairly sizeable number were probably created, but these appear infrequently on eBay. Several may still be ordered from his website.

Rarity: 9 As a commercial calendar, a large number were probably created. However, this has appeared only twice on eBay.

Rarity: 9 Based upon assumption that relatively few (less than 100? Need confirmation from the Polish TS) were created and their absence on eBay. I know of very few in the hands of collectors.

Rarity: 10 As a commercial issue, a relatively large number were probably created. However, the ONLY way to distinguish this calendar from the preceeding Grafton Books issue is to find it in the original shrink-wrap (which is more like cellophane). I know of only one copy in that state.
