2007 St Jude Spaghetti Dinner

by Paul Medley

The annual dinner was a great success this year both in terms of the size and fun the crowd had and the fun we (G2) had doing the event. It seemed like a record attendance to me. The site was marked with a Purple and White cardboard MC and held at Kodak Methodist Church.

It takes a lot of effort to put this on, especially from our fearless leaders, Jerry / Joyce on the left and a couple helpers, Robert and Beth on the right, the money collectors.

Betty, the dessert coordinator, with plenty of help from Duke and Sandy. You can see why this is the best job, just look at all the good desserts.

Don't forget the kitchen help. Are they on break or is the work all done? I think it is the break before the onslaught of guests.

The real worker, Herbert, the clean up man; a thankless, hidden job that Herbert regularly volunteers to do.

Earl with knife and wife Flora - a dangerous situation is an electrician with a knife. I told Earl to act like he was working and the next thing you know he was putting his arms around Flora.

The band that provided much of the entertainment is a great group that volunteered their service.

A popular event is passing out those door prizes. Jerry, our Chapter Director, and Frank helping out. I think from the looks of Jerry's glasses down on his nose that Frank was doing the reading for him.

More work (even that is fun) by the workers, Earl, Helen (partially hidden), Jeanette, Joyce, Flora, and Duke.

Just a couple extra shots of the crowd:

By the way, just for everyone's information, I thanked the church for use of the facility and for the ones that came to support us.
