~ Tarah at 3 weeks old! ~
Tarah Nichole was born on Saturday February 1st, 1986 at 11:11 a.m. She was born with Spinal Bifida, Hydrocephalus (water on the brain), Cerebal Palsy, Paralysis, and a seizure disorder. Tarah had her first surgery on her back after she was born. That was the start of her long battle for life.
Tarah had many surgery's throughout her life. She was taken care of by her mom and her granny. She was loved by everyone that met her. She is our precious angel and she touched many lives, ecspecially mine. I am her aunt and ever since she was born she was my baby. I miss her more and more each day but I feel like she's still here with me. Tarah would be 16 now she passed away a couple weeks before her 15th b-day. For her birthday we all went out to her grave and let go 15 purple and white balloons (her birthstone). We wrote messages on them and watched them float up to her. It was beautiful! Then we all came back home and had ice cream and cake.
Tarah has 1 brother, Chad, and 1 sister, Ronna, who also loved her very much. Tarah has had many hospital stays all through her life but she entered the hospital on December 7th, 2000 for her last time. She was taken there because she was congested which was normal for her so we didn't expect anything different. That month was the longest month of our lives. The family took turns staying with Tarah to keep her company and stay by her side. On Friday, January the 5th her mommy stayed the night with her, she had to leave at 7:00 a.m. on the 6th, because the nurses had to do their reports. So her Aunt Lolo was going there to stay with her at 8:00 a.m. She was just leaving when we got the phone call Tarah wasn't doing so good. So we all hurried up and got ready and went to warm up the cars and we could not get the car out of the snow. We were out there trying to get the car out when we received the second phone call that Tarah had already passed away before we could get there. We feel like Tarah did not want us there when she was ready to go because there was someone there with her every minute except that 1 hour. Even though she's gone and we miss her very much she's still here in our hearts and thoughts every minute of every day. She's in a much better place now with all the other angels dancing and playing like we always wanted to see her do and one day we will.
