The sad history of Wei Wei’s life.
20 years ago.
An factory worker, a poor, no relative Beijing lady, had accidentally felt in love with an oversea US soldier, although they came from two separated part of the world, but they understood each other deeply, since the Western man was also very fluted in Chinese. They met and fell in love as a romantic fairy tales novel. But when she found out she was pregnant, her lover had to come back to his country, since the war had stopped. He wanted to take her with him, but due to her pregnancy, it was unsafe for she to travel on the plane. So he let her stayed back in Beijing, giving her a golden pendant and a chain, as a memory of him and promised that he will keep in touch. When as soon as the baby was born, he will come back and pick up both mother and child.
But then Wei Wei was born into the New World beside with her tiredly
mother. Slowly, she turned 1, then 2, then 5 and 7, but still no sight of
the Western man. Leaving the lady was so depressed of waiting, she died in
miserable condition leaving behind her daughter who was eight to struggle
in living alone.
+Wei Wei was eight. When she got kicked out of her flat, just after her mother death, due to she hadn’t got any money to pay the rent. And that went the same for school fees. So by herself, the little girl made her way alone every night from the rubbish tip to her little corner under the bridge. She didn’t know anything else to do, except for picking up aluminum cans, and plastic bags to exchange for a piece of bread to feed herself with every night. If that not worst, she also was the aiming point when it come to the teasing game. As she usually been call by all the other bullying kids that she was a crossed breed girl. That she was carrying 2 type of bloods and that made her abnormal from everybody else, due to her beautiful big eyes, a tall nose and rosy lips.
+Wei Wei turned 14. Through some kind of strength, she managed to survive on the street for several years. Her life took it first turn when she met Auntie Hong. She was a hawker, working out every night. Heart touching, she felt pity for Wei Wei’s situation, so she took the young girl home. At least working as a servant was much better than picking bags outside the street. Wei Wei could get proper meal everyday and sometime extra tips could be given out as a reward when she worked well. Auntie Hong loved Wei Wei as her own daughter, so no matter what, she didn’t want to lead Wei Wei to her footsteps. It was the best time of her life during the time Wei Wei stayed with auntie Hong, she get to be like a teenager again. Sometime, auntie Hong would tell her stories, giving tips, and teaching her how to approach in life later. So Wei Wei had gained a lot of confidant since then.
+Wei Wei turned 15. Business in Beijing was slowing down, so Auntie Hong decided to ship to Taiwan, as she had a friend who was opening a bar in there, and because of that Wei Wei left Beijing and moved down to Taiwan with auntie Hong. Life was at the best stage than ever.
+Wei Wei turned 18. An incident happened at the bar. Auntie Hong got caught by the police for being illegal migrant in Taiwan, who was carrying drugs. She soon died in jail, while trying to cover for her friend, the bar owner. Auntie Hong’s death brought a big shock to Wei Wei’s life, as she never be the same. She began to feel that because she is half, she’s carrying a bad luck star and everyone who loved her will die because of it. First, it was her mother, and now it’s Auntie Hong. From then Wei Wei became careless and distrusted in future, she only wants to go pass the daily lonely life that God set for her. So she started working at the bar. But as the owner, Auntie Chiu had respected for auntie Hong sacrifice and the promised that she will look after Wei Wei and will never make her work as a hawker. But it Wei Wei who volunteered, since there no other jobs available for her. But her condition was to work at the bar, and do not take the night shift. Meaning she only serving customers who want to have fun with her by a few drinks, karaoke, or even go out with them, but she would never go to bed with any of them.
+Wei Wei turned 20. Life had came back to a balance stage for Wei Wei as she got use to her works. Starting from a homeless kid, picking up plastic bag in Beijing Street. Now she had grown up into a very attractive woman, who makes most men go wild only to see her smile. She rented a room in a five-bedroom house, sharing with other lower classes people. It was difficult to keep perfect in where Wei Wei was working, but due to the big boss protection, Wei Wei managed to get out of any unwanted situation.
Many years pasted and she still was just a lonely girl. But one day, God gave her a new friend. That night, while going home from work. Wei Wei noticed an old lady, had faint near by her house, so as a kind- heart, she took the lady to her room, and began to help the lady to recover. When Ms Hua recovered, she thanks Wei Wei a lot. And told Wei about her situation. Her husband had died long time ago. She had two sons. Her youngest son was studying in the US for 3 years, leaving her staying in the house of her oldest son. But the oldest son had give up the control to his wife, and the nasty daughter in-law had kicked her out of the house. Now she got no where to stay, no idea how to contact with her younger son, cause he had absolutely no notice about what had been happening back home.
On that
Wei Wei offered Ms Su, who she called Auntie Hua to stay back with her and
they will work out a way later on how to contact with her son.
And then was another turning point. Right on the day when Wei Wei, went
as a date for one of her familiar customer to go to
the airport and pick up his manager.
Wei Wei was just finished adding the last touch of make up on her face. She looked at herself in the mirror, and suddenly she smiled.
“I see…no homeless little girl, in the street of Beijing.”
“I see…no pain of hunger, of the cold, and of the hurts from being bullied.”
“But I see, a beautiful young face, with determination.”
“If I can’t live in a normal life as everyone else. I might as well create a life for myself, I will live confidently and be happy.”
Wei Wei thought to herself, while admiring her look in the mirror. This had became a normal habits, that was what she think of before she go to work, to build up her strength for survival. And another habits, was to take off her gold chain and the pendent from her neck. That was what only left of her mother, and only the real natural Wei Wei would wear it. So she would always taken them off before changing into Wei Wei the bar-girl and put them back on when she had her shower after work. Wei Wei called herself, the bar-girl as she refuse to be known as hawker or prostitute. Because she simply just don’t feel like one.
Every night, Wei Wei could come to “Heaven Gate” the bar club. She flirts around with any men that come up to her. She could sing a few songs, drink a few glasses. Or just seat and listen to whatever depression that the person is going through. With men, it’s usually about their wives. Wei Wei doesn’t like kissing, or sharing one room alone, cause she fear it was just to intimacy. Those were the rule of Wei Wei, the bar-girl.
But today was different, it only noon and Wei Wei had changed already. Since Mr Lueng, one of her loyal customer had personally asked her to be his date, while he was picking up some friends at the airport. Wei Wei couldn’t reject. She got up from her seat, in front of her dressing table, and once again, gave another the look at her outfit. Today, she was wearing a short blue silk dress, with yellow and purple strap from her shoulder. The fabric was very thin, the dress itself was so tied, that it revealed her perfect body shape. To match the colours, Wei Wei used dark purple and blue eyes shadow, with her purple lip colour. Her hairs were tied upwards, with the end parts pointing out in different directions.
-I looked stunning! She smiled with a sense of arrogant, happy with the result.
“But to an normal man, I properly like a piece of crash.” Wei Wei let out the bitter thought to amuse herself. She grabbed her handbag and dashed outside, passing the balcony, to say good bye with Auntie Hua. Her first room mate.
-Auntie Hua, I’m going okey! Wei Wei popped her face out from the door.
Auntie Hua was busily hanging up the washing, she turned around when she heard Wei Wei was leaving.
-Wei Wei, why are you working so soon! Surprised Auntie Hua, cause Wei Wei usually didn’t dress up for work until it turned dark.
-Oh, I get to be someone dates today, so I work extra…I see you later, Auntie. Wei Wei gave a smile, and waved good bye. She then made her way down the street, causing many pairs of hungry eyes to follow, someone even give out comments. Some was good, some was bad, But Wei Wei just kept walking forward, she lift her face up, as if she didn’t hear anything.

The Airport.
-Mr Lueng, I want to go over the canteen to get a drink, my throat is too dried. Wei Wei pulled on Mr Lueng’s shoulder, making him to let her go.
He agreed to it reluctantly, but since his friend’s plane was not arrived yet, so he can’t keep her back. Picking out from his pocket a ten dollars note, he gave it to Wei Wei whom quickly grabbed the money and walked off, not forgetting to blow a kiss to him.
Yu Peng was pushing his luggage’s trolley out from the arrival gate. After 30 minute long wait they finally got his paper fixed, and he managed to get out of that crowned room. Tiredly, he paused for a moment to rest, since all the bags were quite heavy. His mind dreamily thought of how happy his mother is going to be on seeing him back. That why he had kept the news of him coming back to Taiwan as a secret, even his brother and sister in- law had no clue.
With that encouragement thought he decided to get going to the door for the taxi, but critically, one of his bag lost its balance on the trolley and felt down while Yu Peng didn’t noticed and was continually pushing on his trolley. But eventually, he then stopped and turned back to pick up the bag, only to see that someone else had already picked it up and handed it over for him.
-Mister, I think you dropped this!
Yu Peng looked up, eyes widen, as he gave an vertical search on the young lady. “She is around her twenty, but wearing way too much make up, the dark eye shadow, and purple lips stick were not the favourite colour for a young girl. Her dress was nice but it way too revealing. Her hairs…no comment it just like a bird nest.” Yu Peng spent a decent few moments looking from top to bottom at the stranger with a weird expression on his face.
Wei Wei was confused, she took a step back at the stranger. Took a puffed from her cigarette and asked
-Hey, Mister are you okay! She started waving her hand as well.
Yu Peng began to cough from the smoke.
-I’m fine, thank you! He replied coldly, and walked back to his trolley with the bag. And then quickly push the trolley away, without looking back at Wei Wei.
“Great, the first person I met on my return is a hawkers. Cheese you going to get very unlucky Yu Peng..” He humbled to himself. While behind his back, Wei Wei was still watching at him.
“This guys is weird!” She thought due to his reaction since rejection was not a normal standard for Wei Wei. But she quickly let it off, continued on her cigarette and walked back to find Mr Lueng.
The taxi stopped at a big double stories brick house. Yu Peng, paid the money and walked out of the car, with the driver lifted out his suitcase from the boot. The taxi drove off leaving Yu Peng standing by himself absorbing the old view of the house. It had been nearly 10 years since the day he left with his uncle to study oversea, and get through university. He hardly can tell whether this is the right address or not. So to made sure, he brought out an envelope, on it written the address, as he matched up with the number on the house, a sign of relief with a smile and Yu Peng stepped forward to press the bell.
A servant lady came running out from the door.
-Mister? How can I help you! The lady greeted while standing behind the Iron Gate.
-Oh, excuse me, I’m looking for Mrs Su. Yu Peng politely asked.
During this time a middle-aged lady were walking toward to gate as well, when she heard the named Mrs Su, she quickly dashed over to see who was it.
-I’m Mrs Su, do I know you? The middle aged lady asked, after taking a looked at a man she never seen before.
-Oh, no, I’m looking for Mrs Su Hua, she’s my mother, I’m Yu Peng, I just came back from America.
The middle aged lady suddenly felt like a thunder strike had just hit her as she dropped the paper fan which she been holding in her hand, and shakily made her way to open the gate.
-Ai yah, Yu Peng…I’m Ly Ling, you’re sister-in-law. Aiyah, you grown up to be such a charming man that I almost did not recognize you, come…come in. Your brother Yu Ying is inside. Yu Peng slighted with relief that he got the right house and family, he walked in quickly, with the urged to see his long parted mother. To be able to feel her embraced, and listen to her soft voice, but it was not as Yu Peng wanted, when his brother and sister told him the news about his mother, after they settled down inside the house.
-Brother, why didn’t you tell me that mother had gone on the trip, otherwise I could have planned some other times to come back.. Yu Peng said with full of disappointment, after he heard that his mother had gone on an Asian tour, and wouldn’t be back in few months.
-Little brother, so how long are you staying here, intending to go soon. Asked Ly Ling, as the sudden appeared of her brother in law had brought her quiet a shocked since she hadn’t got time to plan it out with her husband, after she kicked her mother in law out of the house.
-Um, I was thinking to look for a job here, so I can settle with mother. But since she’s out, I may go back there in a few weeks.
On hearing Yu Peng was going back to America, Yu Ying and Ly Ling both slighted in relief, with the hope that their secret would be covered. They then changed the paste and started to take Yu Peng, up to his old room, and told him to feel at home. Ly Ling was a suck up type of person, she been so sweat to Yu Peng, only for one reason was “Money”. While Yu Peng was in America, every month he would send this part time earning back to home, hoping his brother and sister in law could look after his mother for him. But to Yu Peng unawareness, the money had gone privately into Ly Ling pocket, and his mother never received anything, except for being thrown out of the house.

Since the morning she started worked early, Wei Wei decided to take an early break, at she got home, when it was only midnight. Stepped into the room, to grab her clothes, she tried hard not to disturb auntie Hua who was reading her novel. Wei Wei quickly went for a shower, that what she does every time she got home from work, cause she always want to be the natural Wei Wei as much as possible.
After 20 minutes, Wei Wei walked back to her room.
-Auntie Hua, isn’t it too late for you to read the novel. Wei Wei cheekily asked, as she saw her auntie was fully attract in the novel in her hands.
-Hang on Wei Wei, I got one more chapter! This is so good! Auntie Hua replied, while her eyes still hooked on the book.
Wei Wei sat down in front of her dressing desk, shook her head and smiled, while viewing auntie Hua, through the mirror. She then put out her hand to open her jewellery box, as she picked up her gold chain, she suddenly gasped out a noise.
-Ai yah, this is bad…
Auntie looked up immediately to see what had happened to Wei Wei.
-What is it Wei Wei? She asked with full concerned.
-Look auntie, one of the hook on my chain dropped out, and now it no longer a chain. Wei Wei frowned in a sad face, holding up the broken chain to her auntie.
-Aiyah, you scared me, I thought you had lost something. Don’t worry with gold it can be fixed. Auntie Hua slights with relief and amusement by Wei Wei’s naïve act. She sometime wondered how Wei Wei managed to fight through the tough life and yet she grown up to be so cheerful and kind-heart.
-Oh, I’ll bring it to the shop tomorrow, and I think I should take the pendent down as well, so it can be clean. Wei Wei held up the chain and the pendent as looking at them was just like looking at her pasted mother. After a few minutes, she carefully placed them in a clear small plastic bag, and put it in her bag straight away so she would remember to bring it down to the shop.

After two days, it was time for Wei Wei to pick up her chain and the pendent from the jewellery prepared shop at the city market. She left the house with a fresh feeling upon going to receive back her chain and pendant.
Yu Peng was bored being the house without his mother. He felt his whole plan had broken. So on the third day, he decided to take his backpack and went to a tour around the city. Even when he was holding a map with him all the time, some how Yu Peng still managed to get lost among the busy crowned streets. He wanted to get to the royal museum, when he suddenly found himself in the city market. As in confusion Yu Peng opened his map to search for the way, while he kept on walking forward, unnoticeably he bumped in to someone who just walked out from one of the shop.
Wei Wei paid for the preparing fee and walked out with a small plastic bag on her hand. She paused back for a moment and picked out the gold chain, to have a looked at the replacement hook. It looked as good as before, she pleased and decided to step out while she was trying to put back the chain in the bag. But without a warning some one just walked right in to her. Wei Wei was a bit shaky that she dropped her plastic bag on the ground.
“Ouch…ouch!” Both Yu Peng and Wei Wei cried out at the same time.
Abruptly, she did not remember about the plastic bag while she was still holding on to the gold chain, seeing the other person had fell to the ground, she bend down to help him up.
-Excuse me sir, I didn’t mean to bump in to you like that, are you all right.
Yu Peng had fell directly on the ground after the bumping. His map had slipped out of his hand and also fell to the ground, landing on top of Wei Wei’s plastic bag. As he struggled with pain to stand up, he felt a hand held on to his arm, giving him the support to stand. But when he turned the thankful look to the person who helped him up.
And there she was, a stranger that he never met, but somehow he felt so familiar. No he had met her, met her at the airport. But it can’t be, she was looking like two different person only sharing the same face. Yu Peng found it hard not to look at her. She didn’t have any make up on, yet her skin so white and smooth, she didn’t use lipstick, yet her lips were so red and soft. She dressed in a simple white dress, yet she looked so elegant and neat. Her hair lay short on her shoulder and she looked just so naturally beautiful to be true.
On the other hand, Wei Wei immediately recognized the weird man that she met at the airport. Wondered how did she see him again. But this time he had a different look on her. From Wei Wei pasted experience, men who staring at her were to be place in on of the two classes. One was always those who imagined her as their big turkey since they had been staving for a whole month, and would ready to jump in and ripped her off into pieces. And the other class was the higher one, who looked down on her, they judged her at a pieces of dirty rubbish in the society that need to be throw away as soon as possible.
But this man was different, he just had a look that Wei Wei never seen before. It more like the look of frustration, and confusing, may be he was trying to work out something. Which class does he belong.
-Sorry, mister, I didn’t mean…Wei Wei began, when Yu Peng hesitantly cut in.
-Don’t worry, it alright! He said coldly when his mind came to the conclusion that no matter how beautiful she was, she was still a hawker, who lived on her beauty.
Upon hearing the man cold replied, Wei Wei slight with disappointment, as he was no different from the second class. She then quickly walked off, not wanting to annoy him anymore.
Yu Peng stood still watching the girl went off. He turned back to brush off the dusts from his pants, and picked up the map from the ground. Just then he paused, when seeing a small plastic bag lay under his map. He picked up the bag on his hand and looked through it. Slowly he pulled out a golden pendant, which was looking kind of old and an invoice paper, which had the name and the address of the customer on it.

fter dinner, Yu Peng sat down in his study desk, and turned on the desk’s light. He slowly put down his dairy book from the upper shelf, the one that he had been carried with him through many years. While living in a new country by himself for so long, Yu Peng didn’t had a lot of friends, since he never had time for socializing. All days, his time contributed in either, to his study or at his part-time works, for a local supermarket. So to keep him company through the loneliness, Yu Peng got used to the ideal of writing a little in his dairy everyday, to recall back of what been happening around him. Since he just came back to Taiwan, there were lots of new things that he need to tell his dairy.April, 10
Dear dairy,
Today was my third day in Taiwan, and yet I still hear nothing from mom yet, I really doubted on my sister in law, as she seem like a twisted person, but I do trust my brother, I don’t think that he would do anything bad to our mother. But something is very strange, I just can tell what is it, or it is just because I missed my mother for so long, and I’m just so disappointed that I didn’t see her, on my trip back this time.
Anyway today, I decided to get out of the house by myself. At first my sister in law was not very pleased, but I had to get out of the house, cause I do missed spending times with myself.
Do you know what? Taiwan, such a busy city, and very confusing street, seen there would be people everywhere, more than cars, unlike the old place. I prepared for my self with a map, and I still got lost. But with a help of many thankful people, I got to where I wanted to see. The whole day was very tied. But I saw a lot of interesting things..
(Suddenly then, Yu Peng paused back to have a glance around, his eyes met with the small plastic bag, which been left on a top shelf of his study desk, he then reached his arm out to grabbed it down. Opened the invoice paper then laid it flat on the table, he held up the pendant in his hand, and started the explosion. His mind then flashed back to the imaged of an innocent beautiful eye that he bumped into this morning)
Only three days in here, already I met a strange person, this morning as I was struggling to find a way out on my map, I suddenly bumped into a girl. She was that fancy colourful girl I met at the airport. But…Some how, she looked very different today. I can’t explain how, she was just like two totally different person, only happened to share the same face. But it’s impossible that I saw a twin. But I still got her pendant the one she dropped, I been tried to look for the address all evening today, but couldn’t. I guess I have to start again tomorrow, since I got nothing to do…
A boring day, I wanted to see my mother.

Wei Wei laid herself tiredly on the sofa, in the changing room at Heaven Gate (the bar). Since she find out her pendant was lost, she had gone back to the street two times, but couldn’t find it. And now, she has absolutely no energy to work, wishing on for God to show her a way to get the pendant back…
-Way, Wei Wei jie jie(chi.), Mr Sze An is outside waiting for you. As one of the familiar security guard of the bar, came close and shake Wei Wei to awake.
Upon the sudden shock, Wei Wei opened her eyes in fury, she slowly pull herself up and tiredly replied.
-Alright! Tell him I’ll be out in 5 minutes.
As the security guard nodded, and left the room, Wei Wei sat up, and walked over to the dressing table to touch up her make up, and fixed up her hair. Just then Auntie Chiu, the bar owner came in.
-Ai yah, Wei Wei, are you all right, sweetie, you look can off pale. Asked Auntie Chiu concernedly, as Wei Wei had always been her favored among all the girls. She stood behind Wei Wei, looking at the mirror.
-I’m just a bit down, that all. I lost my pendant today. And its the only thing I got left from mother, and I still can’t take care of it. Said Wei Wei, reluctantly, as her tears began to swell up in her eyes at the mention about her missing pendant.
Auntie Chiu slowly turned Wei Wei around to face her, and she bent down to wiped out the tears just rolled on Wei Wei’s cheek.
-There, sweetie, don’t worry, I think someone might picked it up, and will return it to you very soon. If you not feeling well. Why don’t you rest early today. Auntie Chiu, sweetly said, as she never laid any hard pressure on Wei Wei before.
Wei Wei pushed herself to a smile and looked up at Auntie Chiu, thankfully.
-Thanks, Auntie, but I already got someone waiting for me, I’ll be fine…Wei Wei replied, while standing up, so Auntie could straighten up the back of her dress, seen she been lying down for awhile.
-Okay, Let’s me walked you out, Auntie Chiu, advised.
By that both of them gave a pleasant smile to each other, and slowly walked out to the room.

The next morning, Wei Wei waked up since it turned eight. As to Auntie Hua, she was surprised, she understands Wei Wei had to work late, so she usually slept in still noon. But since Wei Wei lost her pendant last night. Auntie Hua had guessed why, Wei Wei rushed down to the shop the first thing in the morning. She watched as the poor girl ran out to find her most treasured thing. Wishing that she could help, only pray for god to return the pendant back to Wei Wei as soon as possible. But Auntie Hua, later had to leave for the maker, as she sell salted peanut, at a small corner in the local market.

Yu Peng, had spend all morning to look for the address of the pendant’s owner. It took him so long, due to he doesn’t know his way around, and plus the addressed it only half filled in, missing out the suburb, that make the most difficult. But finally thanked to a knowledgeable taxi driver. Yu Peng, found his way, in to the little street, around by old stories houses, the street are all muddy due to the early rain. While walking in the hard street, he couldn’t stop blaming himself for getting such a hard problem.
He paused for awhile to check up with the number of the house, since there are so many slashed between the numbers. But he looked left then right, still doesn’t know which house is what number, he looked forward, nothing show a good sign. He turned backward…And there she was walking slowly to him with her frowning face to the ground. She looked sad, may be because of the pendant. Just a thought popped in, Yu Peng began to yell out for her attention.
-Excused me. Ms…
Wei Wei surprisingly looked up, to where the voice was calling out, she wondered if that person was aiming at her. But as she walked closer to him, she recognized. “It’s him again.”
By now both Yu Peng and Wei Wei had stood facing to each other, while they got close enough to see each other face clearer. Wei Wei had her eyes wide opened, looking strangely at Yu Peng, as she wanted to ask, “What are you doing here?”
Yu Peng read off the confusing thought on her face. He slowly grabbed out the plastic bag in his Jean pocket, and opened his hand in front of her.
-I believed this is yours. He said hardly.
Wei Wei grew more than happy, when she recognized the bag from the jewellery shop, something inside told her, that her pendant was in it. She quickly grabbed the bag and opened it. Her eyes danced with happiness, as there it was her mother pendant and still look good as new.
-Thank you! She said with all of her heart and looked at him the most beautiful sparkle eyes that no one ever had.
Yu Peng stood still on the hypnotized look. But he suddenly became aware and looked away.
-Um, it’s alright. I better go now…Bye…With that, Yu Peng quickly walked pasted Wei Wei, and made his way out to the main street without looking back.
Wei Wei was about to open her mouth, to offer for a repayment, but seeing him left so early, she sensed that he doesn’t like her. She slighted with regretful, well at least she could have asked for the named. But soon, Wei Wei turned back her happy faced, as she cradled the pendant in her hands, and walked home.

Yu Peng, finally walked out to the main street, feeling relief that everything was over, at least he knows he will not see that girl again. Her eyes were so, attractive. He couldn’t stop himself not to look straight into it…But it was so hard..
Suddenly he felt his stomach was carving for food, as he hadn’t had anything to eat yet, close by was a local market, he decided to go in, pick out something. Yu Peng walked uncertainly from store to store, as he not used of eating food out of the market like his, he could easy picked out the wrong things, and cause himself sickness. As he get deeper into the food section. He noticed, a little lady sat quietly in the corner with a big tray of salted peanuts in front of her. He got attract since the person appeared to be very familiar. Making his way slowly closer, until he stood in from of her. His eyes widen with shock when the old lady looked up at him. Yu Peng slowly bent down, and said.

ei Wei got home from work at almost 3 in the morning. But Auntie Hua was still exciting awake and waited for Wei Wei.-Auntie Hua, why are you still up? Do you not feeling well. I haven’t see you this morning, as Bobby(a neighbor boy) told me that you met a family member, right? As Wei Wei, worriedly popped the question, the first thing she opened the door and saw Auntie Hua was sitting on the bed, fully awake.
Auntie Hua, gave the brightest smile that surprised Wei Wei, as she stood up to held Wei Wei’s hands.
-Wei Wei, go and have a shower, then I got a lot to share with you. Today is the luckiest day of my life.
-Really? Wei Wei felt herself getting all excited as well.
She quickly grabbed her clothes, and went to the bathroom. Least than 20 minutes later. She came out fresh and bright, even know it was in middle of the night.
Aunite Hua sat down on the bed with Wei Wei, and started retell the whole scene at what happened at the market this morning. How she met her younger son, Yu Peng, whom just came back from America to look for her but was tricked by his brother and sister in-law, telling him that she was on a long tour holiday.
-What how can those people tells such lies. Aren’t they the one who kicked you out of the house? Gosh if let me see that lady for once, I will punch her until her husband can’t recognized her. Wei Wei angrily cried out, when she heard the story. But Auntie Hua clamed her down with a peaceful smile.
-Don’t worry Wei Wei, who ever does wrong thing, they sure will be punish later. No matter what they are still my son, and daughter in-law, I don’t want anything bad to happened to them because of me. That why I told Yu Peng not to do anything.
-On…no..Auntie Hua. Wei Wei cried out with shock. You’re too kind, those people doesn’t deserved to be your children. If I was in your shoes. I’m surely going to go back home, and stand in front of them with Yu Peng, to see how they reacted. Wei Wei showed her point strongly as if she was really going to do it.
Auntie Hua laughed upon seeing Wei Wei's amusing face.
-Wei Wei, if I do that, then I’ll be no lesser like them. Anyway, I met Yu Peng, again, that all I’m asking for. He even said he’s going to find a full time work, and settle in Taiwan with me..
Wei Wei gave a big smile, she lead forward to gave Auntie Hua a big hug.
-Auntie Hua, I’m so happy for you! Just like, good people always received lucks. Now, you’re finally happy. You don’t have to stay in this tiny room anymore. Wei Wei cried out with tears rolling down, as she thought of returning to live by herself all over again.
Auntie Hua still hugging Wei Wei tightly, her face now also drained with tears, as she softly said to Wei Wei’s ear.
-Wei Wei, I want to ask you something. Wei Wei broke out, wiped her tears and looked up at Auntie Hua. As she was waiting for the question.
-Wei Wei, if Yu Peng found a house, can you come and live with us? Auntie Hua said, almost in a pleading tone.
Wei Wei suddenly changed her expression, she pushed hard for a faked smile, and turned away, to refused the offer.
-No, auntie Hua, I can’t. I can’t step in the life between you and your son. Wei Wei replied hesitantly.
-Why not? I really have a lot to thanks you, you saved me, without you I will not have the day to see my son again. You are like a family now, not a stranger. I want you to live with me. I loved you as a daughter, and if possible, I wanted you to be my daughter in-law in the future. Auntie Hua, said out from her heart, as if was her long wish for Wei Wei and Yu Peng to have a change to meet each other.
Wei Wei turned away blushing, but a certain painful feeling also aroused. As this was not the first time Auntie Hua said something like that. Yet, to Wei Wei, it was more like a joke, but tonight, it sounded very serious.
-Auntie Hua, please don’t do that. To become a couple, it need love, not sympathy. And I long have not thought about getting in marriage, as I’m not a prefect housewife. Who ever marry me, will receive a lot of bad luck, and I don’t want that to happen to your family.
Auntie Hua, gave a understanding smile, was she put her hand up to wiped Wei Wei’s tears on her smooth face. And comforted Wei Wei.
-Poor child, don’t think like that. Everybody, no matter who they are, what they do, all deserved a good family. You will be a perfect housewife. But I promise I will not create any pressure between you and Yu Peng. I only wanted you to promise me that you will move with me.
-Um..Can we talk about this later. May be your house won’t have enough room for me! Wei Wei tried to get the subject away. Deep inside, she really scare of living with a stranger.
Auntie Hua was ready to persuade Wei Wei all over again, but by then, she saw the first sunlight starting to appeared, so she left to prepare for the market and Wei Wei also need some rest as well. So the story had been paused back.

Yu Peng was overwhelmingly happy to see his mother again. Even known he was extremely angry with his brother and sister in-law for not taking care of his mother. He wanted to ask them the truth, but because he had promised to his mother, that he wouldn’t.
Quietly, Yu Peng found a full-time job as a Computer engineer for a Microsoft company, due to his Bachelor in Computing, to get excepted was not that hard. He then secretly looked for a house. Eventually he found a big 2 stories house with 4 bedrooms. The only thing now was to move in.
-Brother, I decided to stay back in Taiwan, and work. Yu Peng told his brother after dinner that night.
Ly Ling was not very pleased on hearing Yu Peng was going to stay back. As he will then kept asking for his mother, creating difficulty for her. Yu Peng noticed Ly Ling’s uncomfortable expression, he gave a cheeky smile.
-Sister in-law, don’t worry. I had found a house to stay so I don’t bother your family anymore. By that Yu Peng stood up and walked to his room, while his brother calling out.
-Hey? Are you sure?
-Yes, I’m going be out of here, within the next few days. And make sure you guys come to visit me, you’ll see a lot of surprises. Yu Peng continued to laugh while appeared into his room.
Ly Ling followed Yu Peng with a wonder look. As the door closed, she quickly walked over, and tapped on her husband shoulder.
-Hey, what does you’re brother mean by surprises?..
-I don’t know, why don’t we come and see later! Her husband suggested.

Soon, it was time for Yu Peng and his mother to move in their new house. Yu Peng only started working for one week. But thanks to his saving money, which helped him to effort for the deposit on the house. Auntie Hua although was not fully happy, as she tried very hard but Wei Wei still refused to move in with her.
Counting now, from the day Auntie Hua found Yu Peng, it was nearly one month. But Yu Peng never had a change to see Wei Wei, due to lately, Wei Wei had agreed to be a daytime date with Mr Lueng, since his guest was still staying back in Taiwan for a few weeks. Since Wei Wei, hardly been home on the day. But she promised to come and visit Auntie Hua when she moved to the new house.

Yu Peng was carrying his big suitcase up the stair, when the gate’s bell rang. Ms Hua quickly came out to open the gate. When Yu Peng returned down, he saw his mother was happily introducing the house to a new guest, a young lady.
Ms Hua was overjoyed to see that Wei Wei had came. She couldn’t stop talking and showing Wei Wei around the house. Her face even brighter when she saw Yu Peng walking down from the stair, seem like the moment she been waiting for had came.
-Yu Peng, come here, I like you to meet the person who saved me, Wei Wei, that is my son, Yu Peng. She called out.
By Ms Hua’s introduction, Wei Wei turned around to meet the young man who was coming down from the stair. While Yu Peng was looking up, as he also had been looking forward to see his kind girl that his mother couldn’t stop telling him about how nice she was.
Surprisingly both of their smiles suddenly drifted off, when in a moment they recognized who was the other person.
Ms Hua was starlet by both of them standing still. She walked in the middle and gave both a look, while asking aloud her wonder.
-Have you guy met each other?
Wei Wei turned to looked at Ms Hua, smiling.
-Yes, we met quite a few times. Auntie, do you remember how I lost my pendant and a gentleman gave it back to me. She cheekily gave a glance to Yu Peng, who been watching her closely, once hearing her words, he wondered if she was playing her flirting skill at him.
-Yes, I remembered. Ms Hua answered, anxiously to find out what had happened between the two of them.
-Well, I never know, until today, that the gentleman was your son here. Mr Yu Peng. Wei Wei cheerfully pointed her hand toward his way. While Yu Peng standing uncomfortably on the other side. He thought she was acting too much.
But Ms Hua suddenly felt overjoyed then anyone.
-Oh, so you two met! That good, come on, Wei Wei, come and sits down. Yu Peng can you keep Wei Wei company while I go and get the drinks. Ms Hua showed Wei Wei to the sofa near by and ordered Yu Peng to sit down on the chair beside Wei Wei’s sofa.
-Auntie Hua. Let’s me help you. Wei Wei put down her handbag and was about to stand up, when she got pushed back by Ms Hua.
-Ai yah, Wei Wei, you’re a guest, so don’t bother, just stay here and chat with Yu Peng. I’ll be right back. With that Ms Hua left for the kitchen, not forgetting to signal Yu Peng an encouraging glance.
When the two finally alone, but both of them all started to look downward, as they were too timid to face one another. Finally Yu Peng decided to break the ice.
-Ms Wei…he began, when Wei Wei suddenly looked at him and cut in.
-Please, call me Wei Wei.
-Um…Wei..Wei…thank you very much for looking after my mother all this time. I really owned you a lot. Yu Peng spoke out with much difficult, and yet he was too afraid to look at her. While Wei Wei never looked away. She was amused by his hesitation attitude, so with interest she gawked at him the whole time.
-That’s okay! She answered cheerfully. You did do me a favour before. When you returned my pendant and left so quickly, I was regretting so much for not knowing who you are? Or how to repay you? But now I guessed we’re even…hihihi..! Wei Wei smiled naturally, as she got no problem in talking with Yu Peng, but he was going through lots of frustration.
Fortunately for him, by then Ms Hua came out with a tray of soft drink and snack. Yu Peng gave a sign of relief as he stood up to help his mother, put down the tray on the table.
-Wei Wei, here this is your drink, just mineral water, and here have some snacks…The kind lady offered as she handed to Wei Wei her drink, and took the plate of biscuit out on the coffee glass table. As she picked up her drink and sat down beside Wei Wei.. We just moved in, so things are still missing a lot.
-Auntie Hua, you’re treating me like a stranger here. Never mind that, as long as I can talk with you, that’s the best treat. Wei Wei spoke out as she put her arm around Ms Hua’s shoulder.
Yu Peng had been secretly watching Wei Wei “She’s so good to mother!” He thought.
Ms Hua happily smiled at Wei Wei with relief, suddenly an captivating idea popped in her head.
-Wei Wei, how about we go out for dinner later, don’t worry I’ll make sure you’ll get back on time to work.
-That’s sound nice. I haven’t had dinner with you for a few days…Wei Wei replied fully supportive. Suddenly she frowned, when remembered as some of the old pictures…Auntie Hua, you know the room surely gotten very lonely when you’re not around, and the neighbour keeps asking for you…
-I known, I met a lot of great people there! And Wei Wei, since I already moved, and my house had two spare rooms. Why don’t you move in. Ms Hua took no hesitation to ask the question again. While Wei Wei gasped reluctantly and Yu Peng also gazes up at his mother in doubting as if she was being serious or not.
-Oh! Auntie Hua. I…I…Just as Wei Wei about to refused again, Ms Hua stepped in.
-Wei Wei, I known, you got no reason to refuse me, okay! Anyway, Yu Peng’s going to be working all daytime, with you at home with me, I’ll fell safer. Ms Hua sounded as closed as she was to begging for Wei Wei.
The young lady looked away helplessly at her auntie, and then glanced at Yu Peng.
-But..But is it okay with you? She asked, hopping to get his support.
Yu Peng had been quiet from the whole conversation so far, suddenly stirred up in hesitated when he realized Wei Wei was talking to him.
-Um…It’s up to my mother, if she want you to stay, why don’t you stay back to keep her company…He mumbled the words out and pushed for a smile..
Ms Hua was happy on the replied of her son, except she thought Yu Peng was too shy. She then grabbed Wei Wei’s hand, and turned her around.
-Wei Wei, don’t refuse me okay! Ms Hua pleaded.
Wei Wei finally nodded that brought a big smile to Ms Hua, while Yu Peng took in puzzles, wonder how he would going to handle it, sharing a house with a prostitute.

Dear Dairy.
I been living with my mother for almost a week, and its was the most wonderful time that I never spent in my life. I get to eat home cook meals, have mother taking care of my washing, she even does the ironing, and nagging me for be good at work. I am just so thankful for all this time I had together with her.
And now Wei Wei, finally moved in, already for 3 days. I know I shouldn’t be too harsh on her. But every time I came home, seeing her getting ready for work, thinking about the job she does. I can’t help it to feel so cheap for her. I know, I should be thanking her. If it not for her, then there won’t be today. But….But why such a normal, intelligent and beautiful girl like her can’t find a more perfect job then to sell her body?????

Wei Wei was helping Ms Hua with the dinner when she had finished her make up for the night. Just about half an hour more, she will get dress and leave for work. Suddenly the bell rang at the gate.
-I’ll get the door for you, auntie! Wei Wei volunteered when noticing Ms Hua was busying with her cooking, and rushed out the door.
-Can I help you? Wei Wei spoke out behind the gate to a strange couple, standing at the front.
Ly Ling gave strange colourful girl who was standing inside the gate a full angle-searching look for the moment then she turned and whispered to her husband.
-Now, I known what you’re brother meant by surprised. He’s hiding a hawker for himself! As Ly Ling was judging through Wei Wei, brightly make up.
But Ly Ling’s whispering was not small enough as the word “hawker” land to Wei Wei’s ears. She quickly opened the gate and stormed out.
-Excuse me, if you doesn’t want to look for anything in here, then you can go! She said while controlling with her anger.
-Hey! Why do you have to be so harsh, you don’t know who I am? Ly Ling fought back, as she not used to someone younger than her to shout at her.
But Wei Wei never gives up.
-I don’t need to care for who you are! She gave a sharp glance at Ly Ling.
When Ly Ling, about to open her month again. Suddenly her husband pushed in to claim for peace.
-Sorry, Ms, we’ll looking for Su Yu Peng. I am his brother, and this is my wife. As Yu Ying came closer to face with Wei Wei, he gave out a soft smile admiring her charmed.
Wei Wei smiled back cheekily looking at Ly Ling with even more hatred
-Oh…So you must be the famous sister in-law who kicked your mother in-law out of the house, and told lies to your brother in-law.
Both Yu Ying and Ly Ling turned white when they heard their secret been spoken out by a total stranger. Ly Ling quickly defend..
-What are you saying you bitch! As she was ready to jumped in for a fight.
While Wei Wei still kept it as her cool stage, she was enjoying making Ly Ling more irritated.
-Huh? Between you and me I wonder who look more like a bitch! I imagined you must be a really bad looking person when I heard all the nasty things you did. But now turned out you even worst then I thought. Wei Wei stood against the door, folding her arms in front, and enjoying pouring petrol in to fire.
Ly Ling was over the mood, by Wei Wei’s loathing attitude, she almost felt like coming over to gave Wei Wei a slap, but was stop by her husband. Suddenly a car horn distracted the verbal fight. As Wei Wei opened the full gate out, while Yu Ying and Ly Ling stepped aside for Yu Peng’s car to drive in.
After Yu Peng parked the car, he made his way out, surprisingly to see Ly Ling and Yu Ying.
-Brother, sister in law. You’re come to visit. Yu Peng greeted.
Ly Ling on seeing Yu Peng was home, happily smile and dashed to her brother in law, (with big house and nice car).
-Yu Peng, we trying to come and see you, but got stopped by some mindless people. Ly Ling spoke out, glanced an evil sight at Wei Wei, who immediately, made a face at her.
Ly Ling on that whispered to Yu Peng, as if they had a very close relationship.
-Yu Peng, if you need someone to take care of the house for you, why don’t you tell me, I’ll introduced many other nice girl for you. You don’t have to bring trash like that from the street to home.
Yu Peng was not happy when Ly Ling insulted Wei Wei. He looked at Wei Wei, and saw her started to walk inside the house, but before Wei Wei stepped in the door, she turned around and shouted out to Yu Peng.
-Yu Peng, why don’t you invite your dear family members in the house for some surprising treat.
One hearing that, Yu Peng more or less, had guessed what Wei Wei was up to. As he also felt it was the right time, so he put on a smile and kindly invited Yu Ying, and Ly Ling to come in the house.

Wei Wei ran straight in the kitchen, where Auntie Hua was about to finished preparing for the dinner.
-Wei Wei, is Yu Peng back yet? Ms Hua asked, when she saw Wei Wei ran in.
-Auntie Hua, come on, leave everything and come with me! Wei Wei grabbed the bowl in Ms Hua’s hand and put it down the table for her, then she came to stand at the back, and started pushing Ms Hua toward the living room.
Yu Peng on the other hand had invited both Yu Ying and Ly Ling to the living room, and invited they to sit down on the chair. But as the couple began to take their seat, they heard.
-Hey! There someone you should say hello to…The three Yu Peng, Yu Ying and Ly Ling turned toward Wei Wei. Yu Ying and Ly Ling immediately felt a very high power electric shot running pasted their body, as they started to lose the balance and Ly Ling dropped down on to the chair a second after with mouth wide open.
Wei Wei was relief from her anger on seeing Ly Ling pale green face. She held Ms Hua hand and led her to the living room, sitting down opposite Ly Ling and Yu Ying, whom were still very shaky.
-Auntie Hua, I’ll loved to stayed back for the show, but I better get ready for works. As Wei Wei pretend to whisper with Ms Hua, but instead she spoke out loud enough for everyone all hear.
After that Wei Wei ran up to her room and got changed, within good fifteen minutes, she was out of the house.
The Su family was left alone, as Yu Peng felt like listing all the details so his nasty sister in law could hear all. But his mother stopped him. They just summarised the story shortly how Wei Wei saved Ms Hua, and how Yu Peng found her.
Ly Ling put on an emotional scene to please for forgiveness, and promised not to do anything wrong again. And as kindness was her nature, Ms Hua forgave her son and daughter in-law.

Wei Wei was rushing down the stair, running straight to the door, to peak at the weather outside.
-It’s raining. She mumbled to herself, while Ms Hua was sitting in the kitchen and noticing everything.
-What the matter? Wei Wei? Ms Hua asked from the dining table concernedly.
Wei Wei tried to hide her feeling and walked back to up-stair.
-Oh, nothing, I’m going to get dress. She called out from up-stair.
Just then, the front door opened and Yu Peng went in, he quickly walked to the kitchen to greet his mother.
-Mother? I’m home…what’s your cooking? Yu Peng smelled the nice food.
-Oh, Yu Peng, you’re home, is it still raining outside. Ms Hua asked.
-Yes, mother, very heavy too. Yu Peng relied to the question. Unnoticed of what his mother going to do.
Ms Hua suddenly paused for a deep thought. But as Wei Wei came down from the stair, she distracted the conversation, as both mother and son turned to look at her.
-Auntie Hua, I’m going okay…Wei Wei last word faded, as she looked up to see Yu Peng was home. Oh…Um…Hi Yu Peng, she said shyly.
-Um…hi! Yu Peng answered hesitantly. Don’t know why, seem like there's a big whole separated the two of them.
By that Ms Hua jumped in to cut the ice.
-Wei Wei, it’s still raining outside….Yu Peng why don’t you take Wei Wei to work!
-Huh? Both of them mumbled with frustration..
-Um…Don’t worry Auntie, I’ll call the cab. Wei Wei replied, not wanting to bother Yu Peng, as she understands he doesn’t want to either.
But Ms Hua kept pushing on.
-Yu Peng, come on, take Wei Wei to work. As Ms Hua came closer while started pushing both Yu Peng and Wei Wei to the door.
Yu Peng got no choice, as he was not used to rebut with his mother, so “Yes, mother!” He garbled, and turned to the door, only to meet with Wei Wei hypnotized big eyes which was looking at him attractively. Yu Peng quickly looked down, away from the view, and walked out to the door, Wei Wei followed shortly.

-Um..it’s a nice car. Wei Wei opened the conversation, after the car have drove out to the big street.
-Thanks, but I think you see a lot of other nicer car. Yu Peng relied coldly just in the same arrogant tone that he used when speaking to her.
Wei Wei looked at him with a hard stare. She can’t understand why this guy hated her so much. For a moment she paused and then continued.
-Do you really hate me? She asked, while keeping her eyes looking at him.
Yu Peng gone puzzled as he tried to keep his eyes fixed on the road. But his mind was searching for a right answer, he never thought of such question was coming to him. But for a quite moment, he felt Wei Wei was still looking at him.
-Um…no..I..don’t. He replied in broken words.
-Huh? That’s strange, cause you’re acting like you disgust me very much! Wei Wei replied innocently while turning her view to the road.
But Yu Peng on the other hand gone hot.
-Sorry miss, if I can’t act sweet and mushy like all the other guys, when they come to you! He’s said out of anger, Wei Wei turned immediately to him, fear of shock raising in her eyes.
-What are you talking about? She asked. Feeling a certain pain going through her body, as he been estimating her like a prostitute.
-I’m saying not all guys are a beauty’s victims and would laid under your feet, willing to give you everything for a night out. Yu Peng started as it’s make him felt more anger, just thinking of how Wei Wei could sell her smile to all the guys, every night.
-I don’t do night! Wei Wei cut in.
-But you still lied to them, willing to follow what ever the guy’s money tells you to do. Yu Peng was so attached to the anger inside him so much that he was not sure of what he was saying.
Wei Wei got extremely upset as she tried to control her tears back, feeling her valued had just been damaged.
-I don’t do any of those thing. I don’t lied, and the man only pay for when they feel happy. Wei Wei began to raise her voice.
-And I guessed you’re the person to make them happy. Yu Peng gave a glance at Wei Wei. He was not aware, since he concentrating on the fight was too much, his mind gone off from the road, his steering wheel slowly got shifted, and the car was now running to the side of the road, instead of going straight.
Luckily Wei Wei spotted the situation.
-CAN YOU DRIVE PROPERLY. She screamed as Yu Peng, quickly paid back his attention to the road, and turned his wheel to continue going straight. The two sighed with relief, as every thing was all right. But both of them was too scare to speak, they stayed quiet the rest of the trip.
Yu Peng stopped the car, in front of Heaven Gate, Wei Wei coldly walked out, without looking back at him. She usually not that cold, but tonight was exceptional, as she felt Yu Peng had gone over broad. While he stayed back for awhile watching until Wei Wei walked safely to the bar. He suddenly felt regret for being so nasty on her before. He sighed and indicated the car, to move out of the spot.

t was Sunday morning, The only day that everybody got the chance to have a family lunch together. Wei Wei was standing alone in the kitchen, cutting up all the vegetable. Suddenly, Yu Peng dashed in with out looking carefully of whom was in there, he cried out happily.-Um…Mother, what are you cooking it smell nice! He said while taken in a deep breath.
Wei Wei turned around in puzzled, her eyes staring straight to Yu Peng.
-I’m not that old to be your mother am I. As she tried to control her giggled, with Yu Peng shown an embarrassing face.
-Um…He starched his head, feeling how silly he had been. Sorry I didn’t mean it. Do you know where’s mother? He changed back the proper question, and looked at Wei Wei who had her back to him since she was standing by the bench doing the cooking.
-Oh! Auntie just gone out to the market to pick up some more things. She said while walking over to the soup pot, and started to give it a stir.
Yu Peng stood there for a moment, he looked around to find something to say.
-What are you cooking? He asked exciting, as it was a lot easier talking to Wei Wei’s back, and didn’t have to look at her eyes.
-Oh? Your still there! As Wei Wei realized Yu Peng was still present, she put the wooden spoon down, and turned to talk to him.
Right them, a totally confusion mixed feeling went through Yu Peng, as Wei Wei’s eyes met his. He been caring a very strong negative feeling about her, but every time he looked at her eyes, it just create the most unexplainable attraction.
-I don’t know myself. I’m just doing what ever Auntie Hua asked me to do, I’m helpless with the cooking. Wei Wei tried to but on a friendly smile, as it had been awhile since Yu Peng and her had a decent conversation.
With that sweat smile, Yu Peng just couldn’t stop by giving her back another smile.
During the silent moment, the doorbell rang, Yu Peng turned his head and ran to the door, when he told Wei Wei.
-I think it’s mother.
Wei Wei’s eyes followed him out the door, when his shadow disappeared to the gate, she turned back to the cooking task that she was doing, with a funny though running through her mind, suddenly she paused. There were some voices in the living room. A strange female voice was talking to Yu Peng.
“It’s not Auntie coming back!” Wei Wei thought, as she slowly tip toed to the living room, with her wooden spoon still in her hand. She hidden herself behind the curtain, and secretly peeked her eyes out.
-Yu Peng such a nice house you had? The lady spoke out admiringly at the fashionable designed living room. She turned around while swinging her hang bag and finally she dropped herself on the coach…This seat really comfy as well!…She laughed
Yu Peng on the other hand was looking puzzled at her. From his looked Wei Wei could tell that’s he’s not happy. She pleaded and turned a glance to the lady.
-Tien Fan, you surprised me! Yu Peng finally spoke out.
But with that Tien Fan stood straight up, walked over to grabbed Yu Peng’s hands and pulled him to sit next with her. Wei Wei bites her lips “That lady even worsen then me!” She thought, feeling she could run out and grabbed him back. “I better do something.”
-Yu Peng, I wanted to surprised you, don’t you like when I came to look for you… Tien Fan using her baby voices to soften Yu Peng.
Yu Peng frowned inward. As he already known that Tien Fan been sharing feeling for him, but she was just to annoying. He hesitantly undo her grabbed to free his arms.
-It’s alright..But next time…As Yu Peng was saying when a voice called out from the kitchen cut him off.
-Yu Peng, do we have guests? He turned and looked at Wei Wei walking out from the kitchen un tiding her apron. She looked very natural today with her hair down, in a short skirt and just a normal blouse top. With the apron on her hand, she looked more liked a housewife.
Tien Fan also stared at the person just came out. Her smile dropped into a dead worry, seeing there was another girl living in Yu Peng’s house. Not only she looked beautiful, but she shown very close relationship with him. “Could this be Yu Peng’s girlfriend!” A thought scared her, thinking she been doing all the flirting to attract Yu Peng for nothing.
As Wei Wei got closer, she came to stand real close by Yu Peng side, and smiling sweetly at him.
-Yu Peng, aren’t you going to introduce me with this young lady. As Tien Fan approached the soft look Yu Peng glanced at Wei Wei, she could feel a high jealousy blood raising within herself.
-Um…ok..Yu Peng awaken…Wei Wei, that is Tien Fan, my worked mate, she is in same department and Tien Fan this is Wei Wei…
-And who is she? Tien Fan asked, desperately got to find out from Yu Peng.
But as Yu Peng still frustrated in finding the answer. Wei Wei came in to help out.
-Oh we living together! Miss Tien Fan, welcome to our home! Wei Wei replied with full confident over Tien Fan, she pretended to put her hand around Yu Peng’s back, put instead it was laying only a distance away from him. But Tien Fan thought of the wrong view and gone madder, but she tried very hard not to show it.
Yu Peng gave Wei Wei a weird looked, wondering what she was trying to do. But he known it could help him to get off Tien Fan, so he let it go on.
-Yu Peng, why don’t you ask your friend to sit down. I’ll just get her a drink…Wei Wei said, as if she was the lady boss of the house. Smiling once more time sharply at Tien Fan and walked in to the kitchen.
Yu Peng was still in the dreaming stage, as he followed what Wei Wei wanted and asked Tien Fan to sit down again. Tien Fan was going to ask more questions to clarify but when she about to begin, Wei Wei had already came back out, with a tray of soft drink on her hand. Seeing that, Yu Peng quickly walked over, and helped her with the tray while Tien Fan’s eyes filled with anger watching the couple.
“Gosh, they looked like they were married!”
-Tien Fan, so sorry we only have soft drink, Yu Peng and I don’t drink tea or coffee. Wei Wei said with a charming smile, as she lift the glass to Tien Fan, and one for Yu Peng, suddenly the front door opened. As Ms Hua walked in with bags of grocery hanging in both hands. Yu Peng and Wei Wei quickly dashed over to her and helped out the bag, leaving Tien Fan staring with frustration.
-Mother, you’re home!…Yu Peng cried..
-Did you get what you were missing? Wei Wei followed.
Ms Hua smiled happily upon seeing Wei Wei and Yu Peng got on together, as they both grabbed all the bags from her hands. Wei Wei held the bags on her left hand and the other arms, she curved around Ms Hua left arms and led her to the kitchen. Tien Fan watched the whole scene with more tempers, she was only expected Yu Peng to be home alone, so she can make her moves. But now it turned out one Wei Wei and his mother. “Gosh, they acting like they were a happy family!” Tien Fan frowned to herself, wondering when Yu Peng going to remember that she was still in his house. Yu Peng was about to follow his mother, when suddenly Wei Wei turned around at him.
-Yu Peng, why don’t you stay here and keep your friend company! She said while walking over to him and put out her other hand to grab at the rest of the bags in Yu Peng’s hand.
-We had visitor? Ms Hua asked surprisingly, as she stared around, her eyes stopped at seeing Tien Fan was sitting on the chair. Watching them.
-It’s Miss Tien Fan, she came to visit Yu Peng. Um..Yu Peng, why don’t you introduce mother to her..As Wei Wei pushed Ms Hua over. She had been preventing from calling her “auntie” in front of Tien Fan and then quickly carried the bags to the kitchen. “Auntie Hua going to be in the living room, at least that girl won’t be playing any tricks”. She grinned to herself, while putting the things away.
Wei Wei came back out slowly, viewing Tien Fan was leaving “So that girl finally gone” She sighed. And walked back to the kitchen, waiting for Yu Peng and Ms Hua to come in and join for lunch.

Dear dairy,
Have I ever told you how to love? I thought I mentioned about Kelly before. With her it was a one side crush. But I failed when she picked Johnny. Now I’m sharing the same feeling with Wei Wei. She had these incredible eyes that no one can resist. I’m no exception. I like to see her in the morning, where she is more natural, more herself (I think). But nighttime, she just transformed into someone else completely different. That thought scared me!
I can see how kind she is to my mother, and I thanked her very much. I’m beginning to wonder, would there be anyone else in this world who would be that kind to my mother?? Not sure…
I’m so chicken, If I have a chance to listen to her, maybe it would help to clear up our feeling and decide for the future.
This morning, Tien Fan came over and I could see, Wei Wei was trying to grab me back, I was happy so I played a long. It’s an extremely good feeling playing a couple with her, even know we never touch each other, but our hearts had a bonding, I felt like I can tell what she is thinking? Is this really love?

Yu Peng
At the dinner table.
Yu Peng was picking on his food slowly as his mind wondered. It’s Saturday, but he haven’t seen Wei Wei, since the morning till dinner. At this time, she usually supposed to get ready and as Ms Hua requested, Yu Peng had to drive her to work everyday. She was almost going to ask Yu Peng to wait and pick up Wei Wei. But because Yu Peng mostly had to work early in the morning, so Ms Hua didn’t pushed him. Usually on Friday and Saturday, that’s when he waited to pick her up from work, often would be around one or two in the morning.
Been sharing a same house for more than 3 months, more or least. Yu Peng was used to Wei Wei personality. She loved to stay home in the daytime, lately she hardly went out in the day except to go shopping with Ms Hua. But today was unusual. She seemed to disappear without telling anybody.
-Yu Peng, why don’t you eat? Ms Hua asked in concerned, on seeing her son was in his daydream at the dinner table.
-Huh? Oh..yes..I’m eating! As Yu Peng awoke from his thoughts of Wei Wei and began to pick on the food, then put in his mouth.
Yu Peng wanted to asked his mother, on weather she known where about was Wei Wei, but he was too scared. So the only thing he can do, was to wait.

After dinner, Ly Ling and Yu Ying pasted by to say “hello”. But Yu Peng understood that it was more like they were trying to suck up to him, since he known very well, how his sister in-law treasured for money. He sat still on the sofa, listening to them talking all non-sense.
-Yu Peng, I see you have grown up now! Why don’t you find a girlfriend to move on? Ly Ling turned to Yu Peng, on seeing he was wandering away.
-Huh? Yu Peng looked up and gasped in a sudden shock “What is she up to now!” He thought, wishing some how he could disappear at that instant.
-Mother! My cousin, named Du Mei, just came back to Taiwan. I felt like she is a very good match with Yu Peng, and since he is still single…Why don’t…Just then, Yu Peng suddenly stood up to rebut the ideas
-Thank you very much for your concern. But I think I can take care of myself…With that he ran all the way to his room and shut the door.

It was getting late, as Ly Ling and Yu Ying had already left a few hours ago. Yu Peng turned from his pillow to look at the clock. It’s almost midnight, he laid on his bed, struggling to rest, as there was an itchy feeling kept biting within himself. “I have to see her!” He jumped up, put on his jacket, grabbed the car keys, and opened the door. He was going to pick up Wei Wei, even known it was a bit too soon. But when Yu Peng reached the stair and was about to step down. He paused.
At the front door below, Wei Wei just pushed herself in, and closed it gently behind her. She tried not to make a lot of noise, also tried to balance her druken self to steady and walked in the kitchen, then turned on the light.
Yu Peng watched from up-stair in puzzled. He slowly made his way down stair. When he have found Wei Wei again, she was standing or rather was leading beside the kitchen sink for support, as her right hand was holding a half filled glass, on her left hand was holding to a whisky bottle, half drank which placed on the bench. She was slowly sipped her glass, while giggled to herself.
Yu Peng was confused, since it was the first time, he saw Wei Wei got to this drunken stage. As the eager raised in him, it pushed him to walk forward to the sink, and grabbed the glass out of Wei Wei’s hand, while the other hand hold on her waist, he wanted to help her to rest.
-Wei Wei, stop drinking, I’ll get you up stair…He said hesitantly, as she struggled to get out from his gripped.
She tried to open her eyes to look at the person in front. When recognized it’s was Yu Peng, by her side, she gave out a soft smile and drowsily said to him.
-Yu Peng, come here let’s drink with me!
-No…Yu Peng fought back while trying to keep her stay still in his arms. But she shook hard to broke out and turned around to face him.
-You have to…come here…With that, she stumbled to the cup-broad, picked out another glass. Wei Wei was not really that drunk, she only tried to be drunk, since she was still conscious enough to tell from which is which.
She turned to Yu Peng and picked up the wine bottom in one hand with the two glasses on the other…
-Come, let go to the sofa.. Wei Wei slowly said, as she turned to step forward, but her feet got weaken, as she about to trip over, but Yu Peng quickly came to give her support from the back, and then the two of them slowly made their way to the living.
Yu Peng sat Wei Wei on the middle of the sofa, and he also sat down beside of her.
-Wei Wei, what happened to you! He spoke out from the full concerned.
-..hihihi..Wei Wei giggled. I’m happy…Come on, you have to drink with me, to toast for me. Wei Wei said, she crumply lead over to grab the glasses and the bottle. Giving Yu Peng the clean one, and poured a half of glass for him. She made one for herself just the same, and in a shaky position she put the bottle back on the table. While Yu Peng followed her action slowly in case she lost her balance again.
-Here, can you make a wish for me…Wei Wei, asked softly, almost pleading him to do so..
-Why? Yu Peng asked back in puzzled.
-Because, it’s my birthday, I turned 21 today…Wei Wei replied while laid her head down the back of the sofa and started grinning to herself.
Yu Peng widened his eyes in shock. “It’s her 21st birthday, how can I be so careless not noticed it, is that why she been out the whole day, to celebrate for herself, all to get as such drink as she possibly can.” Just then Yu Peng’s thought got distracted, as Wei Wei pushing herself up, to grab at the bottle, since she just finished her glass. But Yu Peng was more focus, he quickly put his glass down, grabbed the bottle out from her hand, and put it down on the other side, where Wei Wei could not reach.
-Um…I want to drink…give me back my bottle. She protested frowningly, and even tried harder, led over Yu Peng to reach her bottle. But she was too weak to fight back with his steady arms. Finally Yu Peng managed to grabbed the glass from Wei Wei’s hand, and put it away.
-Come on don’t drink anymore, it’s not good for you! As Yu Peng, placed his arms on her back, trying to consorted her. But suddenly Wei Wei slammed right on to his chest, as her feet curved up on the sofa and her body nestled in his arms. Yu Peng, heart stopped pounding for the second.. “Is it really her?” he thought. It was her lying in his arms. It was hard to believe, but it truly was her! Yu Peng then slowly yet gently, tighten his embrace around her, but with that Wei Wei gave a little stirred and Yu Peng quickly moved his hands away, while she was still lying on his chest.
-Do you know? As Wei Wei began to whisper, keeping her eyes closed, and ducking herself deeper in to him. This is how I celebrated my birthday, since I turned 18…I never worked on my birthday, it’s a day completely for myself…In the morning, I came to the harbor, watching where Beijing was a far far distance away…In the afternoon, I came to visit auntie Hong’s grave, and by nighttime, I got myself drunk….Wei Wei words slowly faded away. But in once in awhile she could stop to collect her breath and continued on with her week tone.
Yu Peng’s arms at that moment had gone back to his old position, wrapping tightly around Wei Wei, as she lay securely in his arms.
-Have you ever know how I lived? Lifelessly…Every night, I disguised myself into a different person. I laughed with men, I drank with them, I ate with them, I sang with them, I danced with them…I could do anything… with them. Only… I don’t go to the room with them, and I don’t kiss…Wei Wei paused…wrapped her hand round his neck to pushed herself up, resting her head on his shoulder, while her eyes were closing all this time. As Yu Peng kept on staring at her, he wanted her to talk. He was willing to listen. This could be what she wanted to say along time ago. But only managed the strength to do it through the courage of alcohol.
Wei Wei sighed a little before she continued.
-Do you know why? Because I simply don’t love them and I never admit that I like any person, and I don’t lied with my feelings to get their tips. I just can’t play with loved. Right? Wei Wei smiled. I promised myself, whenever I’m willing to kiss a person, then I would belong to him for the rest of my life…But…Wei Wei let of a small laugh, bitterly, as her tears began to roll down, wetting on Yu Peng shirt. He looked down at her feeling her sorrow, an unlucky girl, lying in his arms.
-I imagined too much right?..How can a dirty girl like me ever going to find happiness. As she sobered with tears running down her cheek, one after another…
Yu Peng once heard her word, he felt a twist in his heart, slowly pulled his arms together closer “You can have me!” He whispered in his thought! And still embracing her as tight as he could.
-It’s impossible…impossible…im..pos..sible.. As she drifted off to a deep sleep from her tiredness.
Yu Peng assumed that Wei Wei had gone into her sleep, as she became quiet and immobile. Gently he put up his hand to wide away the tear strains on her cheek. And tenderly, he bent down and placed a soft kiss just on her forehead. Finally he rest one side of his cheek on her hair. There been a lot of different thoughts going through his mind, just before. But at that moment, he just wanted to clear everything out of his head, and relaxed with her. Slowly his eyes shuttled, as he also drifted off in his sleep while still tightly held on to Wei Wei’s body in his protective embraced.
They sat on the sofa motionlessly for the rest of the night.

s the first sunrise light, shined through the curtain from the glass window outside. It was six when Wei Wei began to stir herself awake. She felt her body lying in a very different position, and slowly realised that she was not in her normal bed. Wei Wei slowly looked up, surprisingly to find Yu Peng was next to her, still fast as sleep, while his arms was embracing her. She turned slowly trying to loosen his grab, so she could get up without disturbing his sleep. But as Wei Wei moved. Yu Peng awoke as well.-Um..you awake? He asked her softy. But seeing her uncomfortable looked. He quickly moved his arms away to free her.
Wei Wei pushed herself up with a big embarrassment. She had no idea of what happened last night, and how did she end up sleeping in his arms. But as she spotted the wide bottle and the two glasses on the other side of the table, the pictures slowly came back..
-Um..sorry..As Wei Wei found it was extremely hard to speak at that moment…I..was too drunk last night.. But she had to say something…I better go up-stair.
With that Wei Wei tried to stand up. But the moment she got up, she met with the most thundering headache banging on her head. She struggled, about to drop down, but Yu Peng was there, to stood behind her, and led his body to support for her. One more time Wei Wei felt in to his chest.
-Are you all right? Asked Yu Peng concernedly.
Wei Wei immediately broke out of his embrace and tried to regain the balance for herself. She stepped forward and turn around in heisted not wanting to look at him, or to confront with him..
-I’m alright..And then she turned quickly and made her way up the stair.
Yu Peng wanted to ran after her, but imagined she need a proper rest so he slowly made his way to put away the bottle and the glasses before going up to his room.

From that day, Wei Wei realized something new. The feeling of first love. It surely true, she can tell Yu Peng made changes a lot toward her. And she had felt in for his gentleness. And how he was so different from all the other men that came to her.
The birthday night marked a valuable turning point for both of them. They started to take care and worry for each other. But as still there was a bit of shyness between the two, when every time their eyes met.

Wei Wei just finished her late shower after work, when she saw Yu Peng light still on. Nervously, she made her way to his door. Peeked inside, she saw Yu Peng had felt as sleep on his desk. She smiled sweetly looking at him, and then decided to come in the room.
She stood still and started at him sounding in deep sleep. Then gently she put her hand out to stroke on his short hair. She was willing to kiss on his cheek, but of a thought paused her action, as her eyes rolled down with sadness. She shook her head slightly and pressed the button to turn off the light, from shining on to him. Slowly she walked backward outside and closed the door.
“Am I doing the right thing?” She asked herself, while lying on the bed, remembering of what had happened. A flashback of Auntie Chiu words. “Wei Wei, you had to understand, once you get trapped into this, its would be very hard to get out, no matter, how truly clean you are, people still refer as just a piece if trash in the society. Unless you can get out to a totally new place to restarted!”
But soon, her tiredness over come and swept her off to sleep.

In her bedroom, Wei Wei just finished getting dress. Lately she changed to use a lighter colors on herself, as its could help her to relax. Dressed professionally in a dreaming pale green dress, with her hair pinned upward, she looked stunningly with a light green eyes shadow, and a soft nude color lipstick. Wei Wei checked herself one last time in the mirror. As she led over to grab her handbag from the bed. At the same moment, Wei Wei paused on noticing there was strange voices from down stair. Yu Peng had already came home, so it must be guests. As curiosity, she quickly applied in the perfumed liquid to herself and opened her door, to walk down the stair. On the way down, she recognised Ly Ling’s voice, talking non-stop.
-Yu Peng, this is my cousin. Du Mei, she such a nice girl..Ly Ling happily introduced, as she pushed a young lovely girl in to Yu Peng’s way.
Wei Wei could felt her hatred for Ly Ling, raising to the top. “That lady, had the heart to return here! Such a….” Wei Wei grabbed back her confidant and slowly walked down the stair aiming to distract the conversation. Ms Hua was the first one to notice Wei Wei as she was standing in the opposite view.
-Wei Wei, are you leaving! She asked. While everybody else turned back to look at the stairway. Yu Peng smiled softly, inward seeing she was down. May be she could help him out like the last time.
-Yes, auntie. Wei Wei relied as she gave the new girl a glance and turned to look at Yu Peng, who was wanting to explain but couldn’t speak up.
Ms Hua turned to Yu Peng, as she pointed for him to go out with Wei Wei.
-Yu Peng, give Wei Wei the lift will you. Ms Hua ordered, as she already noticed that there was something between Yu Peng and Wei Wei, just like what she wanted.
Yu Peng brightened up, nodding to his mother’s understanding suggestion, but as he was about to walk over to Wei Wei, Ly Ling suddenly rushed in between them, pulling Du Mei with her.
-Yu Peng, Du Mei only been here the first time. Why don’t you stay and show her around, and I can take Miss Wei to her work.! Ly Ling flowed out with no hesitation.
Yu Peng looked puzzle as he really wanted to go with Wei Wei, but just as he about to refuse, Ly Ling jumped in again, this time talking to Wei Wei.
-Come on, miss Wei! I’ll take you go…
Wei Wei smiled coldly at her and uninterestedly replied.
-I won’t bother you! I’ll can take care of myself. With that she gave a full jealousy glanced at Du Mei, who have no idea what was going on. Wei Wei turned back to greet Ms Hua good-bye, and then she looked at Yu Peng, whom was about to say something. But she just quickly looked away and stormed out of the door. While Ly Ling grinned with victory. She planned for Du Mei to hook up with Yu Peng, and now since Wei Wei had gone, everything should be following on plan .

Yu Peng felt sorry for himself, since he had to spend the whole night, listening to Ly Ling raving on about nothing. Most of them were to make connection between him and Du Mei, but the true was, the two of them didn’t have anything to say. He was thinking of someone else, and she was very shy and quiet.
After everyone left, Yu Peng sat still in his room waiting anxiously, till it’s time to pick up Wei Wei, he had a lot to tell her. So to kill off those long waiting period, Yu Peng sat down and opened his dairy to pour out his thoughts. After a good one hour of frustration, he finally grabbed his jacket, with the car keys, and left the house at 12pm.

Yu Peng parked in a spot opposite to Heaven gate entryway, waiting calmly for Wei Wei to show up. It’s Friday night, so she should know that he will come to pick her up.
About nearly another hour, Wei Wei finally walked out of the gate, as she greeted the security friend good bye, suddenly after someone rushed out her name from behind forcing her to turn around.
-Wei Wei, why do you have to go so early…Said a man half drunken, as he leaded forward, to grab Wei Wei in his arms. She was struggling to get out, but didn’t fight as hard, as she put a faking smile to soften the man..
-Aiyah…Mr Cao, I have to go home other wise, I can’t come to work tomorrow. If you till want to see me, then come back tomorrow and look for me..Okay! As she tried her sweet talk trick to calm the man down.
The security guard standing near by noticed something was bothering Wei Wei, so he came over to gave her a hand held back the customer. Mr Cao struggled in the securities gripped. Before he stepped in side, he couldn’t help to yelled out..
-I loved you Wei Wei, I will come back for you every day…
-All right…I known.. Wei Wei pushed for her last smile, and turned around, mumbling…And I would love for you not to bother me anymore…
By then, the engine of a car parked over the other side started up causing her attention. Wei Wei looked across to realise it was Yu Peng, waiting for her. She walked slowly over, opened the front door and sat in.
-Hi! She said trying to make a conversation.
-Hi! He replied coldly, and not wanting to look at her. Then he pressed hard on the accelerator and the car jumped out of the spot.
Unfortunately, Yu Peng had been observing the whole scene, of how the drunken man pulling after Wei Wei and how she happily relied to him. Yu Peng could felt like his heart been stabbed on seeing the woman he loved, flirting around with another man. It was a painful experienced that he hasn’t had.

he car drove in the gate, marked a whole trip with no conversation between Wei Wei and Yu Peng.“What is he up to now?” Wei Wei wondered to herself. Since they arrived home, she wanted to find out. But as she turned over to talk to him, she found he was already gotten out of the car, while slammed the door back at her.
Wei Wei followed him, and got out of the car. Standing in one position, she observed as Yu Peng went out to lock the gate and coldly walked straight in the house, without noticing her.
“What is this supposed to mean?” Wei Wei raising in herself “I was the one supposed to be mad at him! He should be explaining thing with me, not ignoring me?” She finished her thought, and also slammed hard the door of the car and walked angrily into the house.
Yu Peng was stepping careless to the stair, when he heard the door closed behind him and Wei Wei calling out.
-Can you tell me what is going on? Asked Wei Wei, as she threw her handbag on the sofa and stumbled her step to stand in front of Yu Peng.
Yu Peng frowned, he didn’t want to let his anger out in front of her, but since she asked, might as well let out with it.
-What do you mean? He turned around, looked hardly to her.
-I’m supposed to ask you that, what wrong with you, why all the whole trip, you keep giving that face, that look of your…Wei Wei moved side to side, trying to delivered her points clearly.
Yu Peng was still standing by the stair, seeing her frustrating, he felt as if she was playing a game with him.
-I’m sorry but I’m not use to it yet? He finally replied.
-Get use to what? She turned around due to the unreasonable answer.
-Um..I’m not use to see you flirting around with men, are you happy now? As Yu Peng can’t control his anger no more, he poured out his thought which shocked Wei Wei.
-What are you talking about now. What do you mean by “not use to see me flirting around with men”..As Wei Wei expressed with full confusion. That’s what I do, and by the way I have no obligation or what so ever with you..what the point of getting jealous. She also found her voice raising up, as her being patient limit was over.
Yu Peng on hearing that, he stepped down toward Wei Wei, as she dejectedly turned away from him.
-What do you mean by there’s no obligation between us, so we can do what ever we want? Yu Peng asked out the tricky question, his head was spinning around, as he didn’t know how could he explain his feeling to her.
-Sure.!! I can do what ever I want, and you can do what ever you want, getting together with Tien Fan or Du Mei, or whoever, I don’t care. There is nothing between us. Cried Wei Wei, as she felt a certain pain going through her heart.
-There really is nothing between us? Yu Peng asked back out of his sudden, disbelieving what she had just said.
But from the stair, she turned around and confirmed her words.
-Yes..! She sighed inward ..There is nothing between us. Wei Wei swallowed her tears solemnly, feeling the most happiness thing had slip out of her hand, by then she turned around and started to walk up the stair.
But since she about to move her first step. Yu Peng had raced over and grabbed back her arm, he pulled it strongly to his way. With the force, Wei Wei turned back, finding herself was standing just a few inches away from him.
-Wei Wei, I…As Yu Peng puzzled trying to find the best words.
-No, I made my point. Wei Wei waved her arms for freedom, as she tried to get out from Yu Peng’s gripped. “I have to stop it here” She thought, “It’s never going to work out!” And she tried to turn away to the stair again.
-“NO” Yu Peng yelled out, as he used all his strength to hold her back in his arms. One hand held on her shoulder, the other pushed on her back, he drawn her nearer to himself, and begin to pressed his lips on her lips. All he wanted was so show his love, since she didn’t want to listen to her. But he doesn’t know what to else to do, rather to kiss her. So no matter how hard Wei Wei tried to move, he just closed his eyes, and tried to strangle her to stay in his arms.
“What is he doing to me?” She cried out inside, as she opened her eyes wide, and tried all her strength to pushed him away.. “How can he do this to me, I have to get out, get out!!” Wei Wei advised herself, and by the moment regaining her strength, she strongly pushed him away, for the last time.
Finally Yu Peng, was force away, as he reacted with a full surprised on her rejection. He was about to explain, when a hard slap came right down on his face. “BOOOP”
-SU YU PENG…Wei Wei screamed out his name, as anger tears falling from her eyes…How dare you, how dare you took advantage of me like that.. She began to walked backward to the stair, while her eyes looking straight at him, accusing him…I was wrong.. you are just like all the other men…By that Wei Wei broke out with tears, she used her hand to covered her mouth from crying out loud, and ran blindly up-stair. As she closed the door of her room, she slammed her body on the bed, and cried non-stop.
“What did I just done?” As Yu Peng, stood still in frozen, recalling back his action just then. “I hurt her feeling! She thought I was just like all the other men who wanted her body!” Yu Peng shook his head, blaming himself for acting so foolishly. “I deserved to be punish more then just a slap” Yu Peng cried out inside, as he walked up the stair to his room, in a deadly motion.
What a horrible night, everything just went wrong…wonder what will tomorrow bring from here.

he next day, since early morning, Wei Wei had already packed and by drawn she was out of the house, feeling all her dream has shuttled just in one night, just by an unintentional kiss. Disappointment had drowned her heart over the night, as now all she wanted to do was not to see him again.========================================
By that night, Wei Wei still came to Heaven Gate as normal. After a few playful hours, to get her mind clear, but everything she seem to do was useless. It was still in her mind, his eyes, his grab, his touch, his kiss, everything about him.
Wei Wei tiredly pushed the door to the dressing room, as she dropped herself on the chair, looking at her pale image reflection in the mirror. “This is not me” She sighed, but then her emotional aroused, as she burst into tears and put her face down on the table.
-There, Wei Wei, don’t cried. Ms Chiu came over to comfort for Wei Wei. Since she had heard all of the story since the morning, when Wei Wei came knocking on her door at 6am.
-Auntie Chiu, I’m so helpless, I can’t stop thinking about him…Wei Wei sobbed, as she turn over to hug Ms Chiu..
-Sweetie, listen..as Ms Chiu, pulled a chair closer to sit next to Wei Wei, she softly bring her up, and gently dried her tears…We don’t need to destroy ourselves just for men. They don’t deserved it…
-But..I can’t…Wei Wei spoke out weakly..
-Of course you can, I have taught you to be strong enough to do anything, to get over everything… Come on, sweetie, sit up, and be confidant.. How about you go home first and take the early rest, and I’ll help you to clean up tomorrow morning, Okay..Here take the house’s keys, and asked the chaffer to take you home..
With that Ms Chiu supported Wei Wei to stand up and encouraged her to take a rest. Wei Wei nodded and took the keys…Soon, she walked out and head for the exit door.

All day long, Yu Peng was running around looking for Wei Wei, but he had no luck. Since he wanted to hide from his mother of what happened lastnight. Yu Peng left home early, on a lied that he had to go visit a friend’s house. But instead he was parking in front of Heaven Gate, waiting for hours…
Gradually all his waiting was paid off, when he saw Wei Wei finally came out of the club. She waved the chaffer for him to move the car over. But her eye settled as she saw Yu Peng crossing the road, running toward her.
Wei Wei immediately turned to walk in a different direction, but Yu Peng caught up and stopped in front of her, puffing from the running.
-Wei Wei…He began..I..I have something to tell you! As he tried to look into her eye hoping it’s could bring out the sympathy in her. But Wei Wei turned and walked away from him.
-No..She answered shortly. But Yu Peng was not going to let her go this time. He chased after and grabbed her hand.
-No, you have to listen..He yelled out in demand…Wei Wei…he started again with a deep breath…I known I was wrong last night. But I did it was purely came from my heart, not a carving.
Wei Wei couldn’t do anything else, but to stay in his arms. She did not look at him, but she was listening to his every word, feeling tears wheeling up in her eyes, in her heart. As Yu Peng collected his confidant to continued.
-Truly, I only wanted to show my love for you. But I just can’t thing of any other way..but only to…kiss you. I didn’t mean to abandon you, or take advantage of you in any way. All I wanted to tell you was. I loved you! Amazingly Yu Peng had managed to deliver his feeling smoothly, as he put his hand and gently pushed up her chin, while his eyes still attaching to her eyes.
Wei Wei felt like crying with joy. Finally he said it, she wanted to throw herself into his arms, and to tell him, that she loved him to. While looking at him deeply, she was ready, she was willing for him to kiss her.
Yu Peng understood clearly of the moment. So to finish up his confession, he slowly put down his lip, after he looked at her tenderly, to make sure there was no objecting sight from her.
But just at the moment, their lips about to touch.
-No…Wei Wei cried out, as she took a step back away from Yu Peng, whom looked up at her with frustration. He thought everything was all right.
-Wei Wei? He called out. As Wei Wei turned to look at him sorely.
-I’m sorry Yu Peng, I..I can’t…Wei Wei replied quietly as she didn’t want to say it out.
Yu Peng quickly stepped nearer to her and took her hand.
-Why? What stopping you! He gave her hand a tender squeaked.
-Is not what stopping me! Is that I already been stopped, I don’t deserved your love. Because I’m just…Wei Wei sobbed painfully.
-But I don’t care! Yu Peng said, bringing her hands, laid on his chest. All I know is that I loved you, all I want is you…
-It’s impossible..impossible, you’re just saying it now..but sooner or later..you will change. Wei Wei lost her control, she pulled her hand away from his, and tried to run away from the whole scene, her mind going through a hundreds different thoughts as the same time. It was hard. But she knew clearly, that true love is not possible for her.
-I have to go…Wei Wei summed up the long story, but Yu Peng grabbed her back again, for the third time..
-Wei Wei, listen to me…give us a chance, think about it, please…As Yu Peng, passed his sorrow through her eyes, wishing she could agreed.
Wei Wei sighed, she paused for a moment, and then nodded.
-Can you give me a solid time? Yu Peng desperately needed to find out.
-One week. Wei Wei finalised her decision, looking at him in confused, wonder if one week is going to be enough time.
Yu Peng breathed out with relief. For the whole day, this was the first time, he got the chance to relax. But a sudden thought came to his head that once again stir up his mind.
-Alright! But can you come home with me..Yu Peng asked, as seeing Wei Wei about to shook her head to reject, he quickly continued. I don’t want mother to find out…
As the mentioned of Ms Hua. Wei Wei paused for a few minutes, she then looked up at him and tried to put out a smile. “Alright” She replied to him, as Yu Peng broke out with joy, he felt like coming forward to give her a big cuddle, but thinking of the result that his kiss caused, he paused, and just smile back at her.
By then, Wei Wei noticed the chaffer who had been standing at the gate waiting for her, since when ever she couldn’t tell. But he must have been there, long enough to see everything.
-Can you give these keys to Ms Chiu, for me. Tell her that I’m going home, and she not too worry for me.. Wei Wei walked over to the chaffer and handed the keys over to him. The man obeyed and he got back in the car and drove it back in the carpark.

She nodded and made her moved to the car, walking in front of him, while Yu Peng followed with a small fear. Wonder a week from now. Where will he be, and where will Wei Wei be.!!!???

s Wei Wei agreed to come back home with Yu Peng. While in front Ms Hua, the two tried to act very normally, since they didn’t want to get her concern about their relationship. But because of the promise, Wei Wei and Yu Peng, had tried to avoid each other as much as possible. He would leave for work early and came home late, so as Wei Wei so they could not bumped into each other.One week, seven days, simple phrase that so easy to say, but having to go through it, was a much tougher task, that either Wei Wei or Yu Peng had ever done.
Only by the second night, Wei Wei had felt all her energy had been drained out from consecutively sleepless night, thinking about him, about their future.
That moment she was sitting with Mr Stanley, a familiar Western customer of Wei Wei. Mr Stanley, came from America to Taiwan on a business trip holiday, even known he was American, his mandarin was prefect just like a real Chinese, since Mr Stanley revealed that he had learned Chinese since he was just a teenager.
By the introducing from one of his Taiwanese friend, he came to ‘Heaven Gate’, the moment he met Wei Wei, he felt a certain attachment, as she created the long lost tender feeling inside of him. So after the first night, Mr Stanley happily kept coming back for Wei Wei as often as possible, all he asked for her to do, was sit next to him, and talk to him, listen to him retelling the story that he had went through.
But tonight, Wei Wei didn’t carry her excitement like normal, she didn’t have her soul with her.
-Wei Wei, are you alright? Asked Mr Stanley after a long waiting period, Wei Wei had only been sitting still and staring at the wall.
-Huh? Wei Wei began to stir awake up herself. Um..Sorry I’m not myself tonight. As Wei Wei forced for a smile.
-Is there something wrong, tell me, I can help. Mr Stanley looked at her gently, as he gave a comforting pat on her shoulder.
-No, I’m fine…Wei Wei replied hesitantly.
-Don’t lie to me, I’m much more experience then you. As Mr Stanley waved his finger, and shook his head in disbelieved on Wei Wei’s reply.
She had to push out for another smile, upon Mr Stanley cleverness. He had spotted her mistake.
-Well, I been facing with a very difficult situation, and I’m trying to find the best solution for it, that’s why I lose my concentration…Wei Wei finally reviewed her worried, as she been looking up at Mr Stanley as an Uncle.
-Is it? About love? Mr Stanley asked, as she turned to look at him in surprised. “How could he knows that?” She asked the question to herself. But Mr Stanley soon let out laughter, he explained.
-Don’t looked at me that’s strange, I been there and done that, remember?..As he tried to joked, hopping for a smile of Wei Wei.
-Now, let me give you one advised. When ever you are stack with something, tried to get to your favor place, relax and have a good judge on which will be the best for you, and what you are really want it? Decide on something that you know, you will not regret later.
Wei Wei sat quietly listen to Mr Stanley useful tips, on dealing with difficult situation. It was just the right medicine that she needed.

The next morning, Wei Wei woke up after Yu Peng had left for work, he also dropped Ms Hua to the market, leaving her, home alone. As she got changed to her favored white dress, and was about to went out as well. But on the passing of Yu Peng’s room, she saw the door was opened. So with curiosity, she went in and closed the door.
His room was so simple and quite tidy for a man. She walked slowly, taking a good look around with images of Yu Peng flashing in and out from her mind. Finally she sat down, in front of his working desk and slowly rested her left cheek, on the table. Wei Wei closed her eyes, imagined of how Yu Peng, had sat in this position every night before he went to bed. Suddenly as she opened her eyes, in the narrow view she saw a small notebook, hiding under one of the bigger book on the table. Wei Wei sat up, and slowly pulled out the small book from the rest. Her heart’s rate risen with curiosity, as she read the title of the book ‘My diary. NO.5’
“His diary!” She thought to herself, and without waiting for any second thought, she opened the diary and began to view it. Wei Wei flicked through quickly at the first few pages, since it was still about the time when Yu Peng was in America. But then she paused of the first sighting of her name, he mentioned her, on the second time they met, when he found her pendant. Wei Wei began to move slowly to the bed, and rested herself in the most comfortable sitting position on Yu Peng bed. As her attraction was on every single page of the book.
26, June.
Last night, was the most amazing night! It was Wei Wei’s birthday, but either mother or me knew. She came home with a lot of depression, which I think she always was, just by the look in her sad eyes. But lucky for her, or was it lucky for me, that I came down, on the right time when she need someone to talk to.
As she lies in my arms, I felt a certain rate passing from her body to my heart. As she whispered the truth about her life. I had sat still and listen to every single word.
Dear Wei Wei, your life had been so insecure, but yet you managed to fight back the tragedy and became such a confidant woman, even know you have to live your life behind the flash light. Do you know, how much I wanted to tell you, that I been in love with you, since we started spending times together. No matter how much I hated your job, but I still loved you, anyway.!

It’s been few weeks past, and I haven’t yet to find a perfect time to confess my feelings with her. I have to tell her in a way, that she can see I am truthful, as during the passed few years, she might have build up certain distrust toward men in general.
But the right moment is so hard to find. Every time, I looked in her eyes, my throat got condensed and couldn’t speak out a single word.
I felt certain changes in Wei Wei as well, but are they the signs of she liking me. I don’t know, so afraid to ask. Well I think I need more times, that what we needed, more time!!

For a moment, she shut the book, and buried it in her heart, “Why can’t you just tell me! I would have excepted it, if you just tell me first!” Wei Wei was toasting the question in her head, but there was no point in blaming him now.
So she pulled up she sleeve to dry her wet cheek, and continued on.

I have to tell her. No matter what the outcome will be I have to tell her. As the love, the eager inside of me keep growing more and more everyday, and now it all about to explore in me.
I have to tell her, to help her out of the darkness, that she’s been in for so many, I will confessed that I can build a new life for her, where there be, no sadness…Not a single tear.
But, will she except me? Will she willing to let go of the life she being living in for so long, and go with me…
Wei Wei, I got a big headache, and you are the only doctor. But I’m so afraid to ask for the medicine, So should I suffer from my quietness for the rest of my life.

Wei Wei could felt her heart was beating faster, as her inner feeling aroused, the love she had for him, had now became stronger than ever. Within the moment, she was willing to drop everything just to be with him. But then that night began.

I just did a very stupid thing. I kissed her. But it was not a right kiss. It was a kissed from anger, as I was so stunned by her replying of ‘there was nothing between us’.
How can she says that there's nothing between us, when we went through so such together. Is she really doesn't care for me at all, or was she trying to deny her heart.
No, I can tell, I can see in her eyes. She had feelings for me, if not she would had not reacted so painfully to my action. She wouldn’t have cried, if she didn’t felt disappointed on the man that she had put hopes on.
But I smashed it all, with my bare hand. Wei Wei, how can I repay you..

Wei Wei couldn’t control, but to sober deeply on the thought back of what happened on that night, and now how she understood what he wanted to do. She gently stoked her finger, around every word with written in the page, at the same time feeling all of Yu Peng’s emotion, what he was writing his thought, the feeling from his heart.
As then she quickly moved on and eventually reached to the last page.
20, July.
She asked me for 1 week, for her to think. But it had been only one day, and one night, and I’m already struggling. Not having to see her, to talk to her, to find out her well being, was so harsh to take in.
One day, one night, but my mind filled only with her images, her eyes, her sad eyes. I began to wonder how will I survived for the next 5 more days, I may could get an heart attack and die at any moment now…
But please, Wei Wei! So my suffering will be worth it. Please say you excepted.!

Wei Wei closed the book as she moved it closer to her lip, and gently kissed on Yu Peng’s writing, “Yu Peng, I’ve excepted!” she whispered.

Wei Wei finally collected herself, slowly she got up from his bed, replaced the book to where she found it, and opened the door to walk of his room. Ms Hua had been home, but she was busy in the kitchen and didn’t notice for all the time Wei Wei had spent in Yu Peng’s room.
-Auntie Hua! Wei Wei spoke out softly as she came down from the stair.
-Wei Wei, are you all right, you looked so pale, and why your eyes all red. Ms Hua walked toward Wei Wei concernedly for her health, as she observed the downward expression on Wei Wei’s face.
-I’m alright! Wei Wei pushed for a smile…Um! I have to go out now. You stay home by yourself? Wei Wei wanted to assure that Ms Hua, will be find by herself at home.
Ofcouse Ms Hua agreed, she reminded Wei Wei to concentrate on the road, just before Wei Wei stepped out of the house. Wei Wei was walking to the place that Mr Stanley called “Most favored place!”
In the busy street, but Wei Wei was just walking slowly step by step, as her mind was deep in making a hard decision. Now she had understood Yu Peng’s feeling for her. How she loved to be with him. But then, she realized how they were too different. Will it going to work out between two people who come from two different classes of the society. He was intelligent, certificate, a high class, and a professional gentleman. While she was just a bar-girl, lying on the lowest level in the society. Will their relationship, going to work out? What will she reply to him?

But as he turned his chair around, and walked to the big glass window. His eye widen in surprised, looking attractively across the harbor’s side

At a busy harbor in middle of Taipen, the famous city of Taiwan, a young lady dressed in white long dress was standing at the balcony. She appeared to be weak and soft in white, yet her face was full of cold and sadness. She was facing the water, eyes closed, letting her thoughts flowing free. After a few minutes, she took a deep breath and opened her eyes, to view the water.
Passing by people couldn't help to stare at her, admiring the beautiful imaged. Her beauty in silent was strong enough to shiver any men heart, liked what she always does.
But Wei Wei just ignored. This time of day, she only paid thoughts to herself, not to the surrounding. Quietly, she looked down to the golden pendent that she was wearing on her old gold chain. It was only what left of her mother.
"Ma-Ma, I'm calling you again. I just feel so lonely, and I want to be with you, ma-ma! Do you know what? I was wrong, I was wrong to leave Beijing, I was wrong to come and help for auntie Hong, I was wrong to save Auntie Hua. I was wrong to move in with him. I was wrong to let my heart soften. No I’m not regretting when falling for him, but I’m worrying for the sake of the people that I loved, which is only him..."
Wei Wei's thoughts struggling through her mind, as if they turned in to a big mess in her head. She then stood up straight and took in another deep breath.
"If only I was not a girl from Beijing!" She closed her eyes again to drain clear her mind.

Opposite from the harbor, at a high technique international building, standing by one window in his office, just like among other many glass windows. It was directly facing with the harbor water. Yu Peng gasped to himself, while his eyes still approached closely at Wei Wei’s figure.
"Why must she strangle herself like that. Oh Wei Wei, you don't know how I wish to give you back the trust in life again. Trust in a happy future, a happy for us." Yu Peng shook his head tensely. Looking painful at the beloved figure of a person that he cared for more than anything in his life.
Suddenly he noticed how she was about to walk away, like a thunder strike, Yu Peng pushed away his chair and rushed to the door, unaware on his way out he bumped in to Tien Fan. Who was about to knock on his door.
-Aiyah, Yu Peng, what’s the rush, you could kill somebody with that speed? But Tien Fan hadn’t got the chance to finish her speech, Yu Peng already pushed her over to one side as he continued slamming his way down to the street.
Tien Fan was watching after him with furious, wondering what just got in to him.

Five minutes later, Yu Peng finally reached his aiming point, as he stood waiting anxiously for the crossing light to turn green so he could make his way to the harbor’s walking lane. But while looking around, there was no Wei Wei.
“She couldn’t have been gone in that quick!” He thought, frustrating himself, while looking furiously for the familiar face that he been missing in the passed few days.
Quickly the, he crossed the street, pushing ahead among the busy walking crown. He got to the harbor’s walking lane, but where is Wei Wei. The most irritated feeling overcame Yu Peng’s body as he walked pointlessly on the walking path. Just then, he decided on another search for her, as he looked around to the other side of the street, where his working building was, and paused motionlessly.

Wei Wei was facing the water for so long, that she needed to take a break, turning her body around, she noticed a tall building in front of her across the street.
“That is where Yu Peng worked!” She thought as a tinkling feeling arousing in her. By the urgent thought, she began to cross the street, thinking she could come to pay him a surprise to tell him the good news. But as she reached to the automatic glass door, Wei Wei decided to turn back. Thinking for his reputation at work, she can’t just walk in like that. So she turned around, as was about to cross back to the other side, reaching her view over to the harbor’s walking lane, then a familiar face appeared in front of her. She spotted Yu Peng, wondering around in one spot, looking for something. But when his eyes turned and met her, she found the answer on his expression that he was looking for her.
At the right moment, the green light came on. Wei Wei dashed quickly, squeezing herself through the crowd. When she got to the other side, he was standing just a few meters away, waiting for her. Without any doubt in attempting or hesitate, they both ran fast to meet each other. The moment they reached, she widened her arms, to grab tightly on to his neck, as he bent low to wrap round her waist.
Their head lay beside each other, as in the moment, they just wanted to hold on to one another, to pay off for the three longest days in their life. Now and then, people walking around would pause to have a closer look, at the two lovebirds. But either Yu Peng or Wei Wei were aware of all the strange expressions, pointing forward at them.
Gradually, Wei Wei slowly loosen her grabbed as she came around to meet his face. He looked pale, but yet, he was so wonderful. As her heart raising up with the urged. Yu Peng tenderly looked down, he put up his hand to stroke on her hair and slowly run down her wetted cheek. His heart was crying with joy as Wei Wei voluntarily reach upward, while slowly pulled his head down, until their lips met.
It was Wei Wei first kiss. Her first willing kiss that she thought she would never has the chance to make it. Then there they were, in the middle of a busy harbor’s walking lane. Embracing each other tighter and tighter, as they attached to their long waited kiss.
Everyone was looking at them. But to them, the time had stopped, as now they only focused on being together with each other.
At the opposite building, high on the upper floor, where Yu Peng was standing before. Now also stood a person. As Tien Fan felt her disappointment, her jealousy aroused while watching Yu Peng passionately was kissing another girl in his arms. It was that kind of kiss that only exist in movie. But no this was reality.

uring the pasted week, Wei Wei was living on top of the world, as she felt amazing happy with her life. It was just to perfect to be true, to hard to describe in words, she had Yu Peng loved, she had a family to look forward to.Another happy Sunday, for the special occasion, Wei Wei decided to cook up the lunch by herself for the whole family, or to be exact for Yu Peng and Ms Hua.
She was stirring the soup pot while humbling a few tunes. Just for a quick taste, she used the teaspoon to see if the soup was alright. Suddenly as she was just putting in soup in her mouth, she felt a strong body, slammed on her back, and wrapped the arms on her waist.
-What are you doing, I thought you supposed to be cooking, not eating! Yu Peng called out to surprised his loved, as he kept hugging closer to her.
-You silly! I’m tasting the food… Wei Wei replied lovingly, as she gave him a cute glance.
-Oh, I want to taste too…He cried out, enjoying the playful moment beside Wei Wei.
-No, you’re not..Wei Wei rejected, as she tried to untie his grab on her waist, but it only drawn him to hold on even tighter.
-But I’m hungry…He said leading his chin on her shoulder, putting out a bay face to her.
Wei Wei frowned and grinned at the same time, she known he will never let her off if she doesn’t do what he wanted her to do. So quickly she looked around, used her two fingers to grab on a piece of chicken on the plate, and feed it to Alec mouth, which were opened widely on her shoulder.
Suddenly, when receiving the food Alec opened his mouth wider since he was not only biting on the piece of chicken but also was trying to get Wei Wei’s fingers as well.
-Ouch, she cried, and quickly took her hand away…How could you? You bit me! Wei Wei frowningly put her hand up to have a look at her two little fingers, which now had marks of Yu Peng teeth all over it.
Yu Peng cheekily chewed quickly and swallowed the piece of food in his mouth, then he put one hand away from her waist to grab her fingers, the one just been bitten by him.
-I’m sorry…As he slowly pull her hand up, and softly placed a kiss on it….Now, it will not hurt. By the way, you’re finger was very tasty too. Yu Peng laughed out teasing at Wei Wei, as she quickly led over to grab on a towel near by, and turned her body around, immediately she started slapping non-stop at him.
Yu Peng was aware at the attack, so he moved around the kitchen quickly, creating a chasing scene between the young couple.
-How dare you said that, Yu Peng come back, I’m going to get you for good. Wei Wei cried, as she blushing from the love and the anger, chasing him from the kitchen into the dinning room. If it was not for Ms Hua, who was standing still beaming happily at the couple, they could have move the chasing right up to the stair.
-Um?? What have you two turned my kitchen into? A mess. As Ms Hua rounded her arms in front pretending to give a hard look at her lovely children. She had noticed Wei Wei and Yu Peng feelings for each other, long before they started dating, and she was happy for them plus for her.
-Auntie Hua, Yu Peng deserved a punishment, he bit my fingers and disrupted my cooking…On the mention of her cooking, Wei Wei suddenly realized of her soup’s pot, which were boiling on top of the high heat…Aiyah! My soup…As she quickly turned and rushed back in the kitchen.
Yu Peng and Ms Hua both laughed on her heisted action, just then Ms Hua turned over to her son, who been hiding behind her back for protection.
-I’m warning you, not to bully my future daughter-in-law! Okay! I’m on her side. Ms Hua said, as she pointed her finger to warn Yu Peng that she was speaking seriously.
-Aiyah! Mother, that not fair, I’m going to be out number in this house soon…Yu Peng cried back, rebutting the thought that his mother was more helping for his girlfriend instead of him.
Ms Hua laughed out upon her son silliness. But then the front bell rang, disrupting the happy conversation, as Yu Peng left for the gate to see who was there.

Since Wei Wei returned to the kitchen, she quickly round up everything as it was getting to lunchtime, she better finish every off, or her carving boyfriend will come back for her, and who know what he will want to bite on this time.
But suddenly she also heard the doorbell, so quickly she put down the hot bowl of soup on the table, and walked out the front to see who was it.

As Wei Wei spotted the person coming in.
“Great, that witch come to trouble us again” She sighed looking at the uninvited Ly Ling, walking in, with Du Mei behind her, and then Yu Peng. He had the same disapproving look on Ly Ling sudden arrival.
-Mother, how are you? As Ly Ling, cried out joyfully to Ms Hua, and turned back to pull Du Mei to step out….Du Mei..come on, and greet Ms Hua quick.
The shy Du Mei followed as she let out a soft voice to greet Ms Hua and nervously glanced over to Yu Peng.
Ms Hua asked both of them to sit down, but Yu Peng couldn’t help to ask.
-Why are you here? As he walked in front the coffee table, to face them, and had his back to the kitchen where Wei Wei was peeking.
“I better get out there!” Wei Wei thought, on the protection for her relationship. She confidently walked out, and stood beside Yu Peng, who turned and gave her a soft smile.
But Ly Ling and Du Mei noticed to loving look that Wei Wei and Yu Peng had for each other..
-Wei Wei, you’re not working today? Ly Ling spoke out with her mocking tone.
Yu Peng was there to reply for Wei Wei, as he surely known what his evil sister-in-law was trying to do. To bring Wei Wei down, in front of her niece, but he was not going to let it happen.
-No, she’s not. He answered sharply that shocked Ly Ling, she never imagined Yu Peng could be so protective for Wei Wei.
-Wow, Yu Peng, I didn’t know you were so over for her…Ly Ling glanced a dirty look over Wei Wei, who was now standing still in Yu Peng arms.
-Well, it’s none of your business. Yu Peng relied with anger, feeling a fight could break out any minute now, if Ly Ling couldn’t stop being so nosy.
-Cheeses, Wei Wei you really lucky, not only you been booked at the night, now you’re still getting pay in the daytime, so tell me how long was this contract between the two of you going to last!
Everybody were shocked on Ly Ling expressed her insult to Wei Wei, she surely went over broad with that comments. Wei Wei was about to take a snap at Ly Ling, but Yu Peng stopped her, he gave her a reassuring look, as he known how to handle.
-If, you keep talking non-sense like that! I’ll have to ask you to leave. Yu Peng demanded.
-What? Now you fight back at me just for a hawker ..Ly Ling cried out in shock..But to her imagination Yu Peng turned bright red with rage, as he pointed his finger straight out the door.
-GET OUT!! He shouted, everyone were shocked not only Ly Ling, as the gentle Yu Peng had been heated up. Wei Wei specially had to grab hold tighter to his arms, as she fear there could be worst if he get closer to Ly Ling.
Ly Ling took a few steps back. She was building a full hope for Du Mei and Yu Peng to get together. Wei Wei was never in her doubt since Ly Ling found out she was just a bar-girl. But now its turned out Yu Peng had fallen in deep for just a bar-girl.
She arrogantly replied back.
-Fine, don’t say I didn’t warn you, but this type of girl won’t last long, you’ll see. Du Mei let go…As she turned over to shout at Du Mei to leave. Du Mei got up shakily as she turned to said good bye to Ms Hua, and to Yu Peng and Wei Wei, together with Ly Ling, both stormed out of the house as soon as possible.
The ideal lunch almost got ruin, but Ms Hua slowly turned the happy paste back, as they then let the story behind, and enjoin the outcome from Wei Wei’s cooking.
After the lovely lunch, Ms Hua decided to go up to her room for some quiet times to listen to the old traditional opera music. While Wei Wei and Yu Peng cleaned up the dishes.

Yu Peng came over to the sofa where Wei Wei was lying, after they had tidied up the kitchen. He knew that Ly Ling words had more or less hurt Wei Wei feeling, as he regretted deeply for letting Ly Ling came in the house.
-Are you alright? He said while sitting down next to her.
-I’m fine. She mumbled out, but couldn’t hide her depressing feeling.
-Come on, I known when you’re not happy…Yu Peng said as he slowly put his arms around her back and pulled her closer to his body for secure.
Wei Wei nestled quietly in Yu Peng’s arms for a moment of peacefulness.
-Yu Peng, will it going to work between us? She asked while still leading her face on his chest.
-What? Yu Peng replied in shock, Ly Ling surely had stirred up the unwilling feeling inside Wei Wei. The one that he had been trying to push away…Yes? Ofcouse it will. For the hundredth times, he tried to convince her.
-But I’m a bar-girl, and you’re.... we just so different…Wei Wei began with more furious, but she soften quickly on Yu Peng’s tight embrace.
-No, it’s doesn’t matter, anyway, you don’t have to be a bar-girl for long. He was persuading for Wei Wei to think positive, since he had been thinking of a career changing for her.
Wei Wei slowly sat up and she turned to look in to his eyes.
-But it’s very hard, I don’t have the education, I don’t have a ability, and I’m even a illegal resident in Taiwan. She let out her worries in one concern stress, as the thought of looking for job scared her, she scared that people would find out that she was from Beijing, and had no permit to stay back in Taiwan. She afraid they could kick her back home, where she doesn’t want to be..
But Yu Peng understood, he was aware all of that and was trying very hard to help Wei Wei come around with her problems. He gave her a courage smile and push up her chin so she could be facing him.
-I known, but with me, you can do it…Then Yu Peng turned to a more exciting pace, when he just remembered of a good news. Hey! I remembered, my company is recruiting for a new receptionist. Maybe you could apply for it. Yu Peng grinned happily as the light bowl shine on his head.
-But, will I be qualified, what if they know, a company like your, can’t afford to lose face due to a person like me. Wei Wei replied still frowning, as she sees no points, with all the big companies she tried before. They all rejected straight away, after hearing she her only experience at “Heaven Gate”
-Don’t worry, we’re won’t tell them, and I’ll take behalf for you…So would you please do it, I know it hard, but can you do it for me, and for us…Yu Peng was begging for Wei Wei to say yes.
As she lay a soft look on him. She was touched, so treasured for such a beautiful love and concern that Yu Peng had given to her…Then slowly, she nodded.
-I’ll try my best! She replied, before got stopped by Yu Peng thanking kiss on her lip, and later she felt back into his embrace, wondering will her relationship would last forever just like this…

inally Yu Peng had arranged a place for Wei Wei on the interview day for the receptionist position in his company. In the morning, he took the shaky Wei Wei to his work place. Even known he spent all his effort together with Ms Hua reassured for Wei Wei to reduce her fear of the first interview for a proper job, that she about to take after quite a long time. Wei Wei had tried to clam herself, for Yu Peng she will do it. But now, standing with him by the elevator, waiting for it to get to the desire floor, Wei Wei could not get a grip of her control anymore.-Come on, stop shivering.. Said Yu Peng as he turned to stand in front of Wei Wei, and laid his hands on her shoulder for support.
-But, I’m scared…She whispered nervously…What if they find out..
-No, They will not, I already told the boss, that you’re my girlfriend, and you just moved in from the country. He promised not to go hard on you, cause he only need a personality that suit with the job, not experience… Yu Peng placed a soft look on Wei Wei, deeply inside he felt sorry for her.
-But..But..As Wei Wei began to shiver again…But she suddenly stopped as Yu Peng bent down to give her a soft, passionate kiss, to give more energy on her trembling lips.
-Now, listen…Yu Peng said after he finished his sweet kiss, and looked closely in to her eyes. You’re beautiful, you’re confidant, and you can do it, alright..
Wei Wei nodded slowly in Yu Peng arms, as she swallowed the courage plum into her body, believing in herself for Yu Peng’s benefit. By then the elevator stopped, as they both walked out to the main office.
Truly Wei Wei looked too different today, she dressed in a very simple black dress, and a blue top, looking too elegant, that no one would recognized her as the girl behind the bar, even Yu Peng was surprised how clean and innocent she naturally looked.

The couple stopped at the front desk, as the secretary came out to greet Yu Peng.
-Leu Ming, can you please take Ms Zhao Wei Wei here to Mr Lam (the big boss), she had an interview with him for the job…Yu Peng spoke out to Leu Ming, as he gave a push on Wei Wei back for her to move forward.
-Sure, Mr Su. Miss Zhao, please follow me!..
Wei Wei gave a last heisted look for Yu Peng as she reluctantly moved in to the other room following behind the secretary’s lead.

Yu Peng returned back to his working office, after he made sure Wei Wei had gone into the interview room safely. He grinned to himself happily, believing strongly that Wei Wei will succeed since the big boss had promised to give him a special deal.
Suddenly a knock on the door, as Yu Peng called out for Qian Sin (best work-mate) to come in.
-Ah, my man is in his office, Qian Sin greeted for Yu Peng, while putting out a thick folder on Yu Peng’s desk.
-What is it? Yu Peng asked in surprise looking at the folder.
-Oh? I need your signature Mister…Qian Sin replied, with a playful smile…I thought you, suppose to take part in judging for the interview for the receptionist, today.
-Oh, yes, Mr Lam did ask me, but my girlfriend is also applying for the job, so it won’t be good if I in there as well. I thought you went instead…Yu Peng replied, as his mind strike back, wondering on how was Wei Wei doing right then.
-Oh, no…Qian Sin shook his head…It’s Tien Fan who took over.
Just then after hearing the reply, Yu Peng stood straight up on the thought of Tien Fan was in the interview..
-What? Tien Fan is in the interview room as well!
Suddenly he found himself nervously worrying for Wei Wei. Tien Fan had not been very keen on Wei Wei since the moment she knew Yu Peng was together with her. With this situation, Tien Fan might had found out about Wei Wei true identity and now if she was one of the judges in the interview, it could be no other prefect chance to take revenge. Just then Yu Peng quickly rushed out of his room, while Qian Sin was in full shock, as he didn’t known what got in to Yu Peng again.

At that moment when Wei Wei spotted Tien Fan was sitting as one of the interviewer in the room. She immediately sensed that this would not be as smoothly as Yu Peng described.
Although Yu Peng’s boss, together with two other gentlemen were very nice to her during the process. But it still not convincing enough for Wei Wei to stay clam as she could felt Tien Fan’s eyes were watching over her all the time.
But with the most determination, Wei Wei willingly tried her best for Yu Peng’s sake. By the end, most of the gentlemen were very pleased with Wei Wei attitude, excepted for Tien Fan, who been very quiet for the whole time, until it was about the end, she suddenly put out her question, and it was a very tricky question.
-Miss Wei Wei, could you please tell us what job have you been doing? As Tien Fan glanced an evil look to Wei Wei, who began to shiver.
-Wei Wei just came in from the country. Mr Lam answered on behalf for Wei Wei, and also for his most favorite employee Yu Peng.
-Oh! Tien Fan rebutted, pretended to be surprise, a cheeky surprise…I thought I saw Wei Wei with a friend of mine in Heaven Gate.
Wei Wei began to puzzle as she gave an accusing look at Tien Fan, that woman surely not going to let her go easy.
-What? You worked at “Heaven Gate”..One of the gentleman cried out..
-Mr Pin, haven’t you heard, Miss Wei Wei here is one of the most popular…Tien Fan added in, enjoying very much on seeing Wei Wei in a frustrating situation..
-I…I…as Wei Wei had no idea what to say how to explain, except looking desperately as she begging for the gentlemen to understand.
-But I thought, Yu Peng said…Mr Lam was in quite a shock, when Tien Fan took over his words.
-Mr Lam, Yu Peng had paid for her, so he must talk good for his overnight girl.
Wei Wei suddenly felt like someone had slammed her in a darkroom, feeling embarrassed, frustrated, lost, and everything else by the insulation. All her trust and determination had gone down to an empty drain hole.
While observing all the disgusting look from everyone in the room. She felt Ms Chiu words, coming back to her once and again. “Once you get in to this, it’s not easy to come out clean.”

Yu Peng ran his fastest to the interview room, just then he found everyone had been dismissed. Pushed hard the door inside, he only found Tien Fan was left, packing up the paper. Not wanting to talk to her, he immediately turned to walk out, when Tien Fan sudden called him back.
-Yu Peng, are you looking for Wei Wei..
-Do you know where she is…As Yu Peng turned back in on the hearing of Wei Wei.
-Oh! Yes, Mr Lam said, she was not quite right to be a receptionist, since what she best as was being a bar-girl at Heaven Gate. Tien Fan arrogantly spoke out, showing to Yu Peng her full victory. But only then she felt Yu Peng, angrily stepped forward, like he was about to attack on her.
-You knew? He humbled the words between his teeth…And what did you say…as he grabbed hard on Tien Fan’s arms.
-What? I only tell the truth…Tien Fan then pushed Yu Peng away, she was playing the snob part….And the truth, unfortunately didn’t support for your girl. As she gave a shirked face to Yu Peng.
He was over power with the hot heats burning in his body, wanting to rip the evil woman in front of him to pieces. But as he controlled his anger, thinking it would be better if he go and look for Wei Wei now. But before Yu Peng left, he was not willing to let Tien Fan went off that easy, as he flung over, grabbed hard on her arm and strongly warned her.
-Tien Fan, I’m warning you, not to do anything harmful to my girlfriend, or you will get everything back…By that Yu Peng slammed her body away and rushed to the door.
Tien Fan was shocked, she never see Yu Peng get mad, she never felt herself losing against anything. And now she had lost just for a bar-girl.
-Yu Peng! She shouted out to him, before he left the room…How can you be so attracted to only a hawker.
-She is not a hawker, but if she is, she would make a better person then you…Tien Fan, forget it’s no matter who she is..I will always fall for her, rather than you. With that Yu Peng walked out and slammed the door back on Tien Fan’s face.

Yu Peng searched the whole company inside out, but Wei Wei was no where seen, she had left. So quickly he made his way down to the ground floor and walked out to the harbor’s site. As he expected, Wei Wei was standing near the balcony, looking out at the water. Slowly, he walked over to her side..
-Wei Wei….As she turned to met the relief expression on his face….Are you alright…He continued in worry, then she turned away, to look back at the water..
Yu Peng felt sorry, blaming himself, for bringing tears in to her eyes, as he tenderly turned her over, to face him.
-I’m sorry, if I known Tien Fan was in the interview, I would never push you through it..It’s all my fault…But then Wei Wei cut in.
-It’s not your fault, it’s just me…A person with all the bad luck I can get, I’m sorry, but I tried..but no one listen to me…Wei Wei softly said out, feeling her words were fighting through her tears. Yu Peng then quickly pulled her face on his shoulder, letting she to cry out freely in his arms, while he tenderly patched her head.
-I’m sorry, I promised I will never do this to you again...Never…
Okay…Let’s go home! Yu Peng slowly gave the best comforted to Wei Wei, as she sobbed and turned up to looked at him..
-I’ll go home, you go back to work..
-No, I’ll take you back…Yu Peng rebutted as there was no way he could be sure on Wei Wei going back home by herself.
So slowly he took Wei Wei to his working building, asked her to waited for him, while he went to picke up his stuffs, and made an earlier leave request. Not long after, he came down, took Wei Wei to the car, and drove home. Yu Peng had promised himself, that from this incident, he will never push her to look for a new job again. As long as she’s happy then, he’s happy. He only needs to know that her heart belonged to him.
One special day Yu Peng was made to stay home alone for the whole morning. Since Ms Hua wanted to take Wei Wei shopping alone, Yu Peng was not aloud to follow even if he wanted to.
The doorbell rang, as Yu Peng raced out to the gate, thinking the ladies of the house would be back. But instead he saw a strange Western man around late 50s, standing at the front.
-Yes? Can I help you? Yu Peng began in the normal polite way to treat a new guest.
-Oh? As the man take a closer look at Yu Peng…I’m looking for Miss Wei Wei…The man replied back.
-Sorry, but she’s not home…Yu Peng answered shortly, given the man the same searching stared, he was surprised of how well the Western man’s Chinese was.
The man sighed with disappointment, he looked like he really desperate to see Wei Wei, and Yu Peng was not very please on seeing that, some how it brought certain fear aroused inside him.
-Oh, Well, can you just give my present to Wei Wei. My name is Stanley, I been away for nearly a month, I just came back, and I have this gift for her..
“She don’t need your gift, and you don’t need to see her!” Yu Peng was arching with jealousy, as he put his hand to grab on the big paper bag. The man later smiled for the first time and went back to the car then told his driver to head back.

Yu Peng sat at the dinning room, staring furiously at the big bag of gift.. “What is that man put in here, expensive perfume, jewellry??” Just how much Yu Peng wanted to open the bag to see what in there, or to be more exact, he only want to throw the bag away and never tell Wei Wei about the Western man that just came.
Suddenly, the door opened as Yu Peng switched his attention back to the door. He happily walked over to see Wei Wei walked in with full load of bags in her hand.
-Wow? Did you guys do shopping for a whole month? Yu Peng asked teasingly, and put his hand out to help Wei Wei, but Wei Wei pointed to him at the back, as she slowly made her way to the dinning room.
-You better make that a whole year!! Come on go out and help your mother, she just had this shopping carving today, that I had given up.
-Oh? Yu Peng was surprised as he turned back to the door, seeing Ms Hua walked in, with the same load of bags that Wei Wei had. He quickly grabbed all the bags for his mother.
-Mother? What are you trying to do, preparing for the war? He said while walking to Wei Wei in the dinning room with all the bags.
-Aiyah? You shop when you can...Anyway, I haven’t take Wei Wei for shopping in a long time, so this give me a chance. Ms Hua replied puffing tiredly.
Yu Peng put the bags down on the ground, when hearing his mother shopped for Wei Wei, he looked up and walked over to Wei Wei who was rushing for a cold drink.
-So it all for you? He whispered cheekily as her.
-Hey! I have no choice! Why didn’t you come, she would have shop for you instead of me…She whispered back to him, not wanting for Ms Hua to notice.
-You think I don’t want to come, it’s her who didn’t allow me to…Yu Peng fought back, playfully in a lower voice.
-Oh! You poor thing…Wei Wei laughed in mischievous at her boyfriend cute face, she lead over to give him the quick peak on the cheek and slowly walked over the table, to pick up the bags to her room.
-Hey! I’ll help you! Yu Peng quickly ran over, covering the table view so Wei Wei couldn’t see the gift bag. Then he helped in carrying all her shopping bags into her room, up-stair.
While Ms Hua made her way to the kitchen, on coming passed the dinning table, she paused on the thought that Wei Wei had left over one bag.
-Wei Wei, she yelled to up-stair. There’s one more bag for you! Ms Hua cried over. As Wei Wei quickly dashed down the floor to pick up her last bag.
But she got a little surprised, looking at the bag..
-Huh? This is not our shopping bag… Wei Wei said while turning the bag around, to find out who was it belong to.
-Oh? Why don’t you ask Yu Peng, he’s been home all morning. Ms Hua suggested.
-Okay! Wei Wei nodded, and turned over to sit at the sofa, calling out for ….Yu Peng can you come down here,..please..
-What is it? Yu Peng cried out, he was supposed to wait for her in the room, now she was calling him out from downstairs.
-Oh, who is this bag? Wei Wei asked from the sofa while showing it to Yu Peng whom quickly paused back while walking down the stair.
-Um…that..Yu Peng muttered, thinking how can he hide it now…It’s from a Mr Stanley, he came to look for you. Yu Peng finally said it out anyway.
Wei Wei innocently didn’t aware of Yu Peng jealousy tone, as she quickly brightened up with a smile of surprised and excitingly looked back at the bag.
-Really? Mr Stanley is back.. He gave this to me? And then waited for no times, she curiously opened the bag out, feeling lucky to received a present from an “uncle”
Yu Peng was not very keen, he walked over to sat at an opposite seat beside Wei Wei watching displeasingly at her enjoyment, feeling like he wanted to grab that bag and take it away from her.
Unaware at her boyfriend’s grumpy look, Wei Wei cried out in surprised as she pulled out a beautiful Jacket from the newly received bag. It was so elegant, so perfect, and very expensive, as the instinct curious sense she immediately stood up and tried on the Jacket, while running to the kitchen to show with Ms Hua.
Yu Peng on the other stage was trying to stay calm. She never got that happy when she received gift from him…
-Yu Peng, how do I look! Wei Wei ran back to the living room as she began to dance around in front of Yu Peng, showing her new jacket.
But he hesitantly stood up and walked away, while humbled in his crummy voice.
-Yeah, what ever! Its’ so expensive.
-Wah? What wrong with you? She finally realised the changing look in Yu Peng, led over to held him back…Why are you not happy? She asked out innocently.
Yu Peng was going to bury it inside, but seen she was asking for it…So there it go..
-I just don’t understand, if you’re customer wanted to give you stuffs, why can’t they do it at the bar. Why should they have to come here…After the quick flushing out, Yu Peng felt relief inside, after he had said what been bothering him all this time.
-What are you talking about? Wei Wei expressed with a furious look on Yu Peng reaction. Knowing things are going in the wrong way, so she quickly explained….Mr Stanley, just like an Uncle to me!…
-Yeah! You may think that, but does he think the same…Yu Peng couldn’t stop raising his voice, he surely believed that he did sense something weird about that Mr Stanley since they met in the morning.
In the different view, Wei Wei was feeling dissatisfied. She had tried to explain, to console him that there was nothing. But it seems like impossible to get over that jealousy of his.
-Why should you be bother about Mr Stanley. It’s me the one who you should trust. And if you can’t even place a decent trust in me, then why trouble about building a family together…By that Wei Wei just felt her world shuttled, covered her face with her hands, she raced quickly to her room and closed hard on the door.
Yu Peng watched on from behind feeling terrible, if he would have the power to rewind the time, he would never get angry with her. While in the middle of a lost field, suddenly he felt a warm touch on his shoulder, as he turned around to face his mother.
-Come on, go up there and talk to her. You know Wei Wei is not that type of person. Don’t let a little moment of unreasonable jealousy to ruin your relationship…Ms Hua lovingly looked upon her son. Being an outsider, she could understand what both Wei Wei and Yu Peng are going through. They fought so hard to stay with each other, but no matter what they do, they still just a normal human been, with love, with hate..
Yu Peng nodded quickly with his mother and in no time, he chased after Wei Wei up the stair.

She stormed into her room, ran over the bed and threw away all the shopping bags lying on the bed, which Yu Peng just carried in. After a rusty sound, all the bags flew about together then land all over the place. But that was not enough, with rage Wei Wei quickly takes off the jacket that she just tried on and slammed it hard on to the floor. Instead of blaming on Yu Peng, she turned to kick on the unemotional thing. As if it was not for the damn jacket, there wouldn’t be this fight between her and Yu Peng.
Eventually she clamed herself, on hearing the knock at the door and his soft sorry voice, she turned in a unpleasant caution.
-Wei Wei, can you open the door. I’m sorry…I..didn’t know what I was saying…..I was wrong..please…forgive me… please…Yu Peng was truthfully regretted for what he had done, feeling like he almost could bend down his kneel, as long as she willing to forgive him.
But as he stood still and waited. There was no replied, he tried to listen by the door. Yet, there were no voices what so ever. Suddenly a shocking fear flashed through Yu Peng’s mind, as he was lost in confusion wondering what could happened to Wei Wei. There was only one way to find out, so he knocked harder.
-Wei Wei , Wei Wei, are you alright….please answer me…Yu Peng as desperately needed to see Wei Wei, to know she’s still healthy, as he kept on calling her name, until…the door knob twisted, in a moment of silent, Yu Peng pushed away the unlocked door and walked in, finding himself standing in the middle of a plastic bags disaster.
Wei Wei stood by the widow, facing outside, when Yu Peng saw the jacket laid dead on the ground…He felt so sorry more than ever and quickly stepped closer so her..
-I’m sorry, he whispered for the hundredth times, urging for her reaction and continued…I was so stupid to be jealous, I trust you, with all my heart but I don’t trust all the men that surrounding you. It’s very scary…
Slowly, Wei Wei excepted the apology, turned around, she softened on Yu Peng pleading expression. She gradually put out her hand and laid on his cheek, as he tenderly brush his skin in her soft hand.
-You don’t have to worry, no matter how many men out there, waiting to get me. But you already had me. I belonged to you from every beat of my heart to every breath in my lung…Yu Peng…Wei Wei softly cried out, as she pushed her face against his chest…Please believed me, and go easy on yourself…
Yu Peng put his arms out to cuddle tighter on his most treasured jewellery, wondering how empty his life would be without her soft words, her courage and her true love.
Shortly after that, the two lovers find their way back to peace and happiness. Even known Wei Wei forgave Yu Peng, but still she thought he deserved some punishment, so next time he could learned to control his jealousy more better. In the end she made him clean up her room, which got very messy due to her anger on Yu Peng. And ofcouse Yu Peng obeyed with no question or comments.
Wei Wei just started to get ready for work, with Yu Peng sitting on the bed playing with her pillow.
-Hey! Do you know what! He asked, looking at her reflection in the mirror.
-What? Wei Wei replied back observing that her boyfriend about to go in his mischief stage again.
-Tien Fan got into trouble at work today.! Yu Peng let out excitingly
-Oh? Wei Wei surprised, she put down her make up and turned to ask Yu Peng for more details.
-Unfortunately, she been stealing private information from the company and sell it to other smaller names ..He exclaimed some more.
-Really? Wei Wei replied in shock…How on earth that she dared to do it..
-Money!! See, now I’m even happier that I made the right choice with you ..Yu Peng said as he crawl his way closer to pull her in his arms.
Wei Wei struggled and stood up out of his reach.
-Oh? So that mean before you were not happy with me? She scolded back at him with a playful smile.
Yu Peng slowly got up, grabbed her hand, and he pulled her closer to have a stroke at her silky middle length hair..
-I’m always happy with you…He whispered. While Wei Wei giggled in his arms.
As the two about to draw in for kiss, then they hesitantly paused due to Ms Hua calling out from down stair.
-Wei Wei, there’s someone here to see you sweetie ..Ms Hua yelled up.
-Some one to see you…sweetie…Yu Peng repeated as he pushed hard on the last word to tease Wei Wei.
She slightly slapped his forehead to get out of his joke, removed his grip and quickly took another look of herself in the mirror, then walked down stair, with Yu Peng followed right behind her.
Both Wei Wei and Yu Peng paused back at the sight of the new guest sitting at the sofa in the kitchen.
-Mr Stanley…Wei Wei cried, as she ran down to greet her favourite guest.
“Great Mr Stanley!” Yu Peng humbled in his mind, but remembered of what happened just few days ago, so he made sure he’ll control himself this time. So slowly he walked down beside with Wei Wei.
-I missed you Wei Wei..Mr Stanley cried, as he draw her nearer for a hug..
Wei Wei pleased her guest, but on seeing Yu Peng was there, she hesitantly moved away to sit in the same chair with Yu Peng facing to Mr Stanley.
-Mr Stanley. Let’s me introduced…This is Yu Peng…my…
-Your boyfriend, right? Mr Stanley cut in, as he smiled friendly to Yu Peng who was shock with his friendly expression so reluctantly he smiled back.
Just then Ms Hua walked out with a tray of teapot and cups.
-Oh and that’s Yu Peng’s mother. Auntie Hua…Wei Wei said while moved forward to help Ms Hua with the tea tray. But soon Ms Hua excused herself so she can get back to her cooking.
-Wei Wei, how have you been? We haven’t see each other for awhile…Mr Stanley began the chat, since on seeing Wei Wei again, brought a certain satisfied feeling in him.
-I’m very well, thank you..Said Wei Wei, clenching on Yu Peng’s hand…as she continued. I heard you went back to America…
-Yes, I did, but my jobs over here were not finish yet, so I came back. I wanted to see you again, but not in the bar, so I asked for your address, and Ms Chiu gave it….Mr Stanley paused to glanced at Yu Peng…I came here a few days ago, to pass you some gift, but you were not home, so I met this young man..
Yu Peng hesitantly smiled back to the glanced, as Wei Wei came in the rescued.
-Oh, I did received it, thank you for the jacket, it’s so nice, you shouldn’t have to… Wei Wei lied, as thinking about the jacket, she could recalled the fight they had over it, at this and after that Wei Wei had promised that she will not wear that Jacket.
-Oh, it nothing I just thought it fit you well!! Mr Stanley lead back, as Wei Wei put on another bright smile.
-Oh, it does fit me, thank you…But as then she wanted to change the subject, because she knew if kept mentioning about the Jacket, it would drive Yu Peng and her to go wild soon.
She then lead forward to pour in more tea for Mr Stanley cup, but her hair was hanging in the way, so naturally, she used her hand to flip away her hair backward, leaving a clear view on her round neck blouse that she was wearing. But to Mr Stanley he was only interested on the gold chain and the pendant that were wore on Wei Wei’s neck.
-Wei Wei, he began to tremble…can I see the pendant..
Wei Wei lead back in her sit, on hearing Mr Stanley was interested in the pendant, she turned to ask Yu Peng to take the chain off for her, and gently passed both the chain and the pendant to Mr Stanley shaking hands.
-There, this is very old style. It was a gift from my father for my mother and mother gave it to me before she died.
Mr Stanley suddenly felt as he been dropped back in his younger days. The days when he was a young American soldier set to battle in Beijing, and there he met the most beloved woman in his life. He spent the most wonderful five months with her, but then the trope was coming home, so he can’t stay back. He left knowing his wife was pregnant as he passed on to her the specially made pendant, belonged only to his family with a gold chain. And promised her he would be back.
But then, so many years of looking, today he finally held back the memorable treasure..
-You’re mother died. As Mr Stanley softly looked up at Wei Wei…feeling tears were swelling up in his eyes..
-Yes, Wei Wei replied sadly…She died of waiting, waiting for the man she loved to return, but he never did, and never will…By then Yu Peng closer his arms around her back giving her his comfort.
-No..Mr Stanley said with full expression on his face, as tears rolling down from his eyes, dripping on the pendant…I did went back to look for her. After six months, that was the earliest I could make. But the place we used to lived in had been bombed, and she had gone with no clue for me to look.
Yu Peng held Wei Wei tighter in his arms, as they both turned to Mr Stanley with a full confusion look. Wondering what was he talking about? Who was he talking about.
-Mr Stanley, what are you saying? Wei Wei slowly asked the question, when Mr Stanley looked up at her, with the most sorrow eyes. Wei Wei uncomfortably lead back, his eyes felt so strange, yet so close and familiar..
-I’m saying that I had gave this pendant together with the gold chain to your mother, when she just got pregnant. I said I been looking, searching for your mother and you, all over Beijing for the pasted 20 years. I’m telling you, that’s I’m your father Wei Wei..
Both Wei Wei and Yu Peng gasped out with shock, as Wei Wei started to shake her head repeatedly.
-That’s impossible .. She cried…I don’t have a father, I never had one, and will never had one…Then she quickly stood up, and ran straight out the door, sobering.
Yu Peng was puzzled, looking at Wei Wei’s running figure and at Mr Stanley, who was in grief from regretting for leaving his daughter alone for all this year. Now he doesn’t blame her for not excepting him as her father.
Yu Peng was bouncing in the middle, he wanted to follow Wei Wei, but he can’t leave Mr Stanley alone. Suddenly a bright light turned on, as Yu Peng turned to Mr Stanley and said..
-Mr Stanley. I will go after Wei Wei, can you come to the harbor side, at BonBay Street..Wei Wei and I will be there.
Mr Stanley nodded thankfully to Yu Peng, at in his mind was covered in blankness.
Quickly after that, Yu Peng chased out the door after Wei Wei.

He was right! Where else could Wei Wei gone to when she is depressing. So at the harbor balcony, where he found her, standing motionlessly looking at the water. It was getting dark, so the water turned quite black.
Yu Peng slowly walked closer to her, by the distance he could hear how she was trying to control her crying, so gradually he went over and put his arm on her shoulder. Immediately, Wei Wei dropped deep in his embrace then cried even louder.
He stood still, cuddling her tighter, as he felt she need a good cried over this, before she could settle down..
For a good ten minutes all so, Wei Wei finally laid still in his arms, as then Yu Peng began to speak out..
-Come on, what’s so bad? You found your father!! Isn’t that what you always wanted …
-No, Wei Wei cried, as she broke out from his embrace, her face was drain in tears and tears…He left mother and me to be alone, to suffer ..I don’t need…Suddenly then, Yu Peng cut in as he drained the tears from her face and forced her to look at him.
-He didn’t want to. It was his duty, he had no choice. And he did went back to look for your mother, but because of the war that separated them…
Wei Wei became soften, as she stayed calmly listening to Yu Peng.
-Listen to me, its will be different when you had a father! You’re father never wanted to leave you, and he is now looking for you, so can you give him a chance…
His words were so soft so persuading, that it gone deep through Wei Wei’s bleeding heart, to heal her wound.. She returned slowly back to his clasp, as he continued to push on for a decision from her.
-Can you? Can you give him a chance?
Wei Wei obeying nodded in Yu Peng arms, as he sighed with a relief and round tighter on his embrace. Just then, they heard a voice calling for her from behind, as they broke out, and Wei Wei turned to look at where the was voice calling out.
-Wei Wei…The voice was soft, was tender, was full fill with a special love, a fatherhood love that Wei Wei been waiting for so long, since she was born to this lonely world. And now, there he was, her long lost father standing still with his arms wide opened, waiting for her, for his long lost daughter to return.
Wei Wei collected herself, that this was reality not her usually dream…and then
-Father…Wei Wei trembled the words, she never thought she could have a chance to call.
And slowly, she raced to him, longing for his cuddle, for his love, for his father touch.
That was the best explanation for the closeness that Wei Wei and Mr Stanley had for each other since the day they first met. And now since The girl from Beijing, had found her father, would there be any changes in her life from now on??
At Heaven Gate!
-Wei Wei, what’s wrong, why are you in this lower paced again. As Auntie Chiu slowly walked over to Wei Wei, who was staring at herself in the mirror motionlessly.
-I thought you should be happy now, you found your father, and you have Yu Peng and Ms Hua as well…Auntie Chiu continued to try to push for a smile on Wei Wei.
But Wei Wei just dropped herself back on the chair, looking up at Auntie Chiu, she said tiredly.
-I known, I’m very happy on finding my father. But why can’t I only be happy…Why there have to be some else coming after it.
-What is it? Auntie Chiu was getting worried.
-Father wanted me to come back with him. Wei Wei finally reviewed.
-You mean Mr Stanley want to sponsor you to move to America with him…As Auntie Chiu rephrased the sentenced. She broke in to laughter upon seeing Wei Wei nodded….Well that’s great, you get to live in America, in a new place, you can build a new life…Oh I’m so happy for you Wei Wei. As Aunite Chiu cried out even louder, and lead over to gave Wei Wei a big hug.
-But…Wei Wei sighed..
Auntie Chiu, suddenly sensed something, as she looked closer at Wei Wei, then she pulled over the chair, to sat down beside her.
-But, it’s Yu Peng right?
Wei Wei nodded.
-He’s not letting you go..
Wei Wei shook her head.
-Then what the problem… Auntie Chiu cried out loud in confused. Then Wei Wei quickly explained.
-I don’t want to be-part from him. I’m affair ..scare..
-You affair that your loves will fate with distance, you scare that relationship will loosen with times…
Wei Wei didn’t answered, but that was exactly what she thought. She loved him so much, that she can’t bear to think about living away from him.. But then once more time, Auntie Chiu gave her another consolation session.
-Wei Wei, at first I was not sure with the idea of you getting closer with that boy. But when I see him. I can feel he was honor. What you and he had was very special. It took a lot of effort to build up, so it will not going to fall so easily as long, as you two are facing at each other with no regret.

Wei Wei was sitting mindlessly at her dressing table, she was suppose to brush her hair and get ready for bed, but all she did was sat still, until a knock on the door that wake her to reality.
-Wei Wei, can I come in? It’s was Yu Peng, as Wei Wei quickly stood up, and went to open the door for him.
-What is it? She asked..Yu Peng walked in to the room, closed the door behind him, and pulled her over to sit near the bed.
He gently held on her hands, and looked deep in her eyes.
-I got something to give you. Yu Peng looked down to pull out a box at his back pocket, while Wei Wei watching over furiously.
Finally he pulled out a mini ring box and showed it to her..
-I known this can’t be a engagement ring. But I wanted it to be something between us.. As he slowly pull the ring out, and push in her middle finger. Wei Wei was watching him motionlessly. As she listen to him continued on.. Wei Wei, believed me. We will make it…And we will be together soon.
Yu Peng had been supporting all the way for Wei Wei to move to America, as he known that would be the only chance for Wei Wei to change her life. Even known both of them will go to suffer tremendously with missing each other, but for her future, he can’t abandon her to be by his side forever.
Wei Wei, understand what Yu Peng satisfying to do. She treasured his love so much, that she wonder how can she survived without him. She doesn’t mind about better future, she only to be with him. But it was time for her to decided. And she was willing to refuse it, if it was not for Yu Peng encouragement.
-Wei Wei, don’t worry! I’ll try to contact back to my old school, may be they can set me a job over there, so I can come to America earlier, to be with you, we will take mother with us, so the three of us can be a happy family once again.
-Really? Wei Wei asked in amazement, as Yu Peng nodded to confirmed with her.
She cried out with joy and move in closer to hug him. Just a few more months, they would be separated by half of the world. The soonest for them to reunited, would be two to three years. When Wei Wei will try to sponsor Yu Peng as her fiancé. The waiting time will be hard, but each of them had a task to complete for one another. Wei Wei will try and study for a better career, while Yu Peng will plan on saving for their wedding day which will take place after they reunited.
Departing period was the most stressing time for the two lovers, but with their determination setting for a better life together in the future, both Yu Peng and Wei Wei had to fight hard with their wills to life their life successfully in two different part of the world.
Night was growing deeper into the darkness, but Yu Peng would not settle himself to rest unless he finish his fortnightly letter for Wei Wei.

How was your exam, I have a very strong faith that you will sucess well, right? I'm very proud of you. Mother as well, she been going to temple to other temples every week to wish you lucks. But I don't need to pray for wish, I just know that my Wei Wei will overcome all obstacles.
Today I received a letter from the old school. Sweetie, look like not long now, we're going to be together again. I can't wait and don't want to wait any longer. Do you know how much I'm missing you? 10 months I felt like 10 decays. I just dream to be with you, to see your smile, look into your eyes, hold you, kiss you, and just love you.
I really wish that I could come over there right now Wei Wei to see you! If you have to stay away like this any longer, I'll properly will go crazy. But I can't let that happen, I will wait for the day to be with you, so that we can truly build our family together. Can you just imagine that day. I can, I just close my eyes and I could see every image from it. Me and you united on the most meaningful wedding, surrounded only by the people whom we loved. And whom cares for us? You will be magnificent in the bridal dress. The most beautiful bride that I ever see. I'm so lucky.
Five years moved on and Wei Wei and Yu Peng were now into their third year of marriage. Out of their planning, Yu Peng got offer a job by his to school in America to one of the big Intec company, as he came over to America just one year after Wei Wei. The couples got marry after another year, as they waited for their mother to join them on their big day, because if it was not for her, they may never have this chance to be with each other.
Yu Peng, now, was a high raking Computer consolation of the company. And Wei Wei she just graduated from her Fashion school three months ago, and today she was recognized as a young fashion designer in the fashionable city like Los Angeles.
Tonight was Wei Wei first independent fashion paraded show. It gathered her four years works and knowledge, for everyone to see. Before, while still practiced in school, Wei Wei had a chance to join in with a few numbers of modeling show. And was well liked, for her simple, yet elegant style, with very touching pale colors, but was attractive enough, to catch the eyes of a lot of big names company, as they rushing over to get her to sign in the contract to be with them.
And that was the reason, for tonight show, so people can observed her full ability, and later she will decided on which contract to sign, to settle her job, permanently.
Yu Peng squeaked in the backstage, with his five months old boy on his hand. Hopping in the crowned group of people, he could find his busy wife somewhere.
And there she was, going out from on of the wardrobe, and stopped by to fixed a few trends on one of the model dress. She was looking a bit bossy he thought, and grinned. But then she spotted him, as she gave out a big waved. He used his son little hand to waved back. The little boy was all excited on coming to a place with such many people surrounding him, and on seeing his mother from a distance, he gave her a big smile.
Wei Wei quickly finished off the last checks on her models, before they came out to the stage. As everything seem to settle for now, she quickly rushed over to her husband, and her little boy, who was waving his tiny arms out for her.
-Hi darl! As Wei Wei bend down to gave a peak on her boy rosy cheek….Hi Honey! As she lift upward to give him a kiss. Just then, she could hear someone already called out for her at the back..
-You got to go back..Yu Peng frowned for his wife..
She nodded tiredly to him, before bend down to gave her son another kiss.
-Are you going to be out there later! She quickly asked before walk off.
-Ofcouse, sweetie! We will be watching you…He replied playing around with his boy.
Wei Wei smile softly on her happy family, but then she had to walk back to continued prepare for the ongoing show. While Yu Peng carried his little boy, back outside, where they joined in the same table with Ms Hua and Mr Stanley.
The shown moved one, with loads of different fashion, from their most talent creator. It ended with a big cheer and claps from everyone, as the MC introduce to the audience the young, and talented designer. Ms Su Wei Wei.
Wei Wei stepped out in the highlight, while camera flashing at her. She was wearing one of her latest design, a soft angel slashed, short black dress, which round her small figure nicely, and a little new touch, with a middle length tied pants. As she gave a big bow to the audience, who was cheering on for her non-stop.
Ofcouse the loudest was from Mr Stanley, and Ms Hua, as they were so proud of their daughter, and daughter in-law. Yu Peng was holding his boy at the front, watching lovingly at his wife. Suddenly a flashback of the earlier came through his mind, of the first picture when he met her at the airport in Taiwan, and how difficult that she had to go through. And now, no one would recognize her as “The girl from Beijing”. She is now a model of a successful lady, with bright career on the future. With a happy family behind her back. With her long lost father, most loved mother-in-law. Her wonderful husband who went through so such with her, and for her. But most of all, now they had their son. An adorable kids, who will marked a new beginning to their happy life forever in the new country.
