A pack consists of one alpha male and one alpha female,
with numerous "aunts" and "uncles".
Only the alpha pair will breed.But if for some reason
the alpha female cannot breed,
he will breed another in order to perserve the pack.
When Pups are full grown they may stay with the pack,
try to form a new pack or join another.



Wolves howl for many reasons.
They will howl to communicate with others in the pack,
to greet others,mark their territory or just for fun.
It is now believed that they also
communicate with high pitched sounds
much like the Whale or Dolphin.
