Titans already planning for improved 2003
Despite the fact they own the NFL's best record over the last four seasons (48-23) and have been to the post-season three times, including one Super Bowl and two AFC Championship Game appearances, the Titans are not resting in their laurels.

Front office brass is already making plans toward improving Tennessee's 2003 squad. Several factors come into play, including who stays, who goes, getting under the salary cap, and which players to target in the upcoming draft and free agency period.

"The key is that our organization and the people involved have a direction and a focus in what they’re going to do and how they’re going to do it," Titans GM Floyd Reese said. "There are some tough decisions to make, but we feel good about where we're headed right now."
