This is a brief history of us and who we are, and what we are about. In the following few paragraphs, you will get to know us as a whole. Monster Mountain has been open since the October of 1988. We have only grown bigger and better. We are one of the most well-known haunted houses in the Nashville area. We started only as a project for the locals around Hendersonville. We got a new manager in 1998 who came in and changed the face of Monster Mountain by motivating performers to give their all and put on one hell of a show. Monster Mountain flourished that year with a record breaking number of people coming to see their demented sights.One month after the 1999 season, Monster Mountain faced a tragedy. The whole entire facility burned to the ground from a fire started at a residence at the foot of the mountain. The employees volunteered their time and worked harshly through the summer and got it ready for the 2000 season. It became even bigger and better than ever, with MORE radio spots and advertising, even having 2 popular radio stations come to the site and broadcast live. Zoning matters have caused Monster Mountain to cease operations in the fall of 2000. That was the last season. We will be getting ready to go September 9th, 2005 for another bone chilling season. Whether it be chainsaws, famous movie monsters, our very own created freaks, or just random psychos wandering the mountain, Monster Mountain will ALWAYS remain the best haunted entertainment extravaganza in Middle Tennessee.
