MHSAA Awards Banquet


Saturday July 20, 2002


The MHSAA held its annual awards banquet at Pleasant Green Plunge in Goodlettsville. There were approximately 55 alumni and faculty members present. Danny Baker '66 received the Distinquished Alumnus Award. He is a veteran officer for the Metropolitan Police Department and is captain over the East Sector.

Also we awarded Jimmy Burch '67 the first annual Madison School Spirit Award. Jimmy has supported the MHSAA and his class at every opportunity since graduation. He served in the USAF in VietNam and has been employed for 27 years at Purity Dairies in Nashville.

Faculty members honored were Ms. Shirley Phipps, Ms. Mary Yager, Mrs. Betty Zuccarello and Ms. June Kennedy. All honorees were given the opportunity to recall their fond remembrances of Madison High School.

The occasion was very successful and everyone present had a wonderful time.
