Name: Letitia "Tisha" Luna
Classification:
Letitia LunaResolved
Missing: 08/07/00
From: Ashland, MS
Sex/Race: Female/ Asian
Age: 21

Circumstances:  Letitia's vehicle had been found with the engine still running on the Hernando De Soto Bridge in Memphis, TN. Extensive searching of the area and downstream produced no clues to her disappearance.

On 08/24/01 The Kentucky State Medical Examiner contacted this agency and indicated that they had visited our website and felt they had a Jane Doe that matched the Letitia's descriptive information on our website. The Jane Doe had a rose tattoo on her wrist and also had a pair of glasses in her pocket. These items matched the items listed on Letitia's website missing person profile. On 08/27/01 NMCO was notified of a positive identification.

The Jane Doe had been found days after Letitia's disappearance several hundred miles "upstream" in the state of Kentucky. The body had been located in a so called "duck pond" connector between two river barges that had apparently carried  it to Kentucky.

Though this is a tragic outcome, Letitia's family is grateful to everyone who assisted in the search. We here at NMCO are grateful that our services could contribute to the positive identification of this beautiful young woman. We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Emily Craig, Ph.D., Kentucky State Forensic Anthropologist who utilized our site. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
