I aquired my 1987 Ford Thunderbird LX in January of 2004 and after 1 year with it I have absolutely love it. I have since decided to modify it and have started by getting new Goodyear tires. The only other thing I have done to the car besides regular maintenance is put a new (well actually used)transmission because in April the original blew out. The engine is a Ford 302 EFI putting out 150bhp@3200 rpm and 250lb/ft of torque@2000 rpm. I have yet to run her at the track but I suspect a 1/4 mile time of 17.2-17.5. The engine has only 92,000 miles on it and runs like a charm. The next major thing planned for Theresa (her name)is a paint job. I am going to go with jet black with a flaked gold racing stripe. Will post again with anything new.
