Mrs. Flora Edith Cravens of 824 Keylon Street, Manchester, formerly of Hillsboro, was dead on arrival Nov. 25 at Coffee General Hospital of an apparent heart attack. She was 78.
She was a daughter of the late Derrell and Mary Elizabeth Bruton Brown and was married to Calvin Lucian Cravens, who died in 1974. She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ.
Services were Saturday at Manchester Funeral Home with Carl Russell officiating. Burial was in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Survivors are two sons, Charles Cravens of Manchester and L. B. Cravens of Hillsboro, two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Snow of Manchester and Mrs. Edna Sutherland of Hillsboro; three brothers, Emmitt Brown of Hillsboro, Davis Brown of Tullahoma and Ewin Brown of Manchester; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Matlock of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Calvin Lucien Cravens of Hillsboro died Monday at Coffee County Nursing Home. He was 85 years old.
A native of White County, he was a retired farmer, a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion.
Services were held yesterday afternoon at Manchester Funeral Home, with the Rev. Fred Bush and Bill Young officiating. Burial was in Presbyterian Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Flora Brown Cravens, Hillsboro, two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Snow and Mrs. Edna Ruth Sutherland, both of San Antonio; two sisters, Mrs. Murine Breeding and Mrs. Mattie F. Arnold, both of Decatur, ALa.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Charles Curtis Cravens, 70, of Manchester, died Jan. 28, 1994 at Medical Center of Manchester after an extended illness. A native of Manchester he was the son of the late Calvin Lucian and Flora Edith Brown Cravens. He was a retired U.S. Army Master Sgt. serving from 1949 to 1969, he served in the Korean War, Vietnam War, Turkey and Germany, honors included National Defense Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Good Conduct (5th Award), Korean Service Medal and a member of the American Legion Post 78 and VFW.
He is survived by one son, Kerry Mark Cravens, U.S. Navy; one brother, L. B. Cravens, Hillsboro; two sisters, Dorothy Snow and Edna Sutherland, Manchester and two grandchildren. Services were held Jan. 31, 1994 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Bro. Benny Benjamin officiating. Coffee County Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements
