OBJECTIVE: To fully preach the gospel and help people become strong Christians.
QUALIFICATIONS
I possess a strong sense of dedication to use my God-given talents to plant and sow the seed of the kingdom. I am committed to fully preaching the truth of God’s word. I am friendly and outgoing; I never meet a stranger. I welcome any and every opportunity to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I have been a member of the Lord’s church for more than twenty years and I continue to learn and grow as a Christian. I began preaching at the age of thirteen as part of a young men’s training group and enjoy it just as much today as I did then.
EDUCATION

EMPLOYMENT
2002-present Minister, Collinwood church of Christ, Collinwood, Tennessee
In addition to preparing and preaching every sermon, my work at Collinwood has included: aiding with the establishment of the congregation’s first eldership, initiating and maintaining a successful jail ministry, conducting a daily visitation program, building and maintaining the congregation’s first website, counsel members with their daily problems, working with the youth, developing a working relationship with area congregations, writing a weekly article in the local newspaper, teaching Sunday and Wednesday Bible class, and leading singing as needed. I also prepare the bulletin each week.
2000-2002 Youth Minister/Associate Minister, Stutts Road church of Christ, Killen, Alabama
My work at Stutts Road included: organizing youth activities, serving as the Bible bowl sponsor, working as the youth class teacher, preaching two Sunday nights per month, and preaching in the absence of the preacher.
1991-2002 Machine Operator, TeeJays Manufacturing, Florence, Alabama
While with TeeJays, I gained supervisory experience and was skilled in every position in the cutting department.
1998-2002 High School Baseball Umpire, North Alabama
Being an umpire helped me to handle pressure situations, better deal with people and challenged me to think on my feet. I learned to remain calm in the face of adversity.
PERSONAL
I am 33 years old and have been married to Monica Emerson Collier for 13 years. We have two wonderful sons, Jordan age 12 and Jared age nine. Monica has experience teaching Bible class for pre-school, elementary, middle school, junior high school children and teen girls. She also has a BS degree in History and Political Science and is a reporter at our local newspaper.
The following is a brief statement explaining my approach to the ministry.
Love is the most important aspect of my work. I love preaching, studying, and sharing God's word. I love all Christians and I love the souls of the lost.
Truth is also of paramount importance in my work. It is my desire to preach the truth of the scriptures in love. The truth needs to be spread throughout our local communities and also throughout the world.
Unity is also important to my work in the ministry. Without unity,it is difficult for a congregation to grow and prosper.
Along with the need for love, truth, and unity, comes the need for hard work. As a preacher and as a Christian, I want to work for the Lord. I cannot expect others to work if I do not live by example.
