All The King's Horses
Hi! My name is Crystal Todd. I, with my husband Aaron, own and manage All The King's Horses. Here we strive to produce quality Gypsy Vanner Horses.
Right now, this page is still under construction. There is still information on the Gypsy Vanners and that I have yet to add, as well as the information on our horses.
At this time, we do not have any horses available for sale, but feel free to check back often and see how everything is going or e-mail me and see if I can help you find the horse you are looking for. I will post updates of the progress of All The King's Horses as often as I can.
Sincerely,
Crystal and Aaron Todd
What are Gypsy Vanners?
- Gypsy Vanners have a very colorful origin. As their name suggests, these horses were bred by Gypsies. They were used to pull the large caravan wagons and decorated carts for which the Gypsies are well known.
- With such beautifully decorated and flashy wagons and carts, it would make sense for the Gypsies to have beautiful and flashy horses to go with them. The Vanners are all that and more. Behind the gorgeous exterior is an amazing little draft horse. Though usually only standing between 13 and 15.2 hands, these horses can pull a loaded caravan wagon all day at a steady trot. They are very heavy in bone and have lots of feather. The more hair on the horse, the more it's worth.
- (3/15/03)At this moment, we have two horses. The first is a Quarer Horse gelding named Cinder and the second is a North American Spotted Draft Horse filly named King's Whisper on Pancake Flats. I bought Cinder a few years ago and he's been my best friend ever since. With his sweet temperment and smooth gaits, he's one of the best riding horses I know. We bought Whisper in January of 2003. She's just a big puppy dog! From the moment we got her on the farm everyone fell in love with this big baby. She was bought to be a host mare for Gypsy Vanner embryos, as well as to produce Spotted Drafts. She's such a wonderfully sweet horse. We certainly found a gem in Whisper. We are also at this time looking for that one superb Gypsy Vanner stud!
- (4/02/03) Announcement, everyone! We have found that great stud we were looking for! All The King's Horses will be welcoming King's Romany Gadget in July, 2003. Gadget is a superb colt with great conformation, lovely hair, and some of the best bloodlines known to England. With horses like Price's Old Horse and The Kent horse in his pedigree, this boy is just what we've been waiting for. Thank you to Jeff and Christine of Black Forest Shires and Gypsy Horses for having this boy available to sell!
