birmingham, AL
by Angus Lefty

this entry was from alabama, the county's finest state!

We arrived on our tour bus overnight in birmingham, it is a beautiful city. It didn't take us long to make friends. The sun was shining when we woke so we drank a bit to raise our spirits. We played a game where whenever a car honked or a bird chirped we took a shot.

this is a paradise

We strolled the city and talked to the locals before the show. At some point we met a very happy fellow whom we nicknamed "Toothy". Toothy knew my mother and kept talking about her. I think he said he's a poet too and he owns some sort of business. I'm not sure what he deals 'cos he was hard to understand the drunker we all got.

Toothy, my hero

He invited us over to his house where there were lots of naked people and farm animals. It was strange, but we thought "hey this is what rock and roll stories are made of!". We hung out on the front porch drinking his shine and smoking his cigarettes and we all felt very light headed. Then some sort of cop or something walked up with a gun and yelled "get down!" We laughed 'cos at this point it was a very funny joke. I took his picture.

what a comedian

"well off to legion field" we said, that's where our gig was. Then the comedian was like "I'll kill you" so we said "well I guess you can come backstage, and Toothy too!". We all had a blast in the end. Yay for Birmingham!
