Noah: King Esteban, you first came to the USWA with hopes of being the best. You were then, the only Canadian wrestler. Now that people like Jacques and Brandon Hinz have openly professed their love for Canada, how has this changed the outlook of the USWA?
Esteban: Well, like you said, when I first came to the USWA all those months ago I was the only Canadian to wrestle here. With the recent influx of them it's only a matter of time before we're all Canadian. I think the Canadian migration has to do with the fact that we hear so many stories about the wonderful American wrestlers like The Rock or someone that we have to see if it's true.
Noah: Well what do you think about American wrestlers since you've been here??
Esteban: Well I'll be honest, for the most part they suck! There are a few decent American wrestlers that might be able to put up a fight, but not many.
Noah: Just who are these American wrestlers?
Esteban: Take Chris Jericho...no don't, he's Canadian. Then there's Chris Ben...nope, Canadian too. Bret...Canadian too. Well, maybe I was wrong, so there aren't any good American wrestlers, but with the influx of Canadians we talked about then American wrestling fans have nothing to worry about, they'll still be able to see good wrestling.
Noah: I see... King you said that there weren't any good American wrestlers however two wonderful American wrestlers have quit the USWA lately in the forms of Gambit and Kevin Hunter. They were American, what's up with that??
Esteban: That comes from the traditional American fear that if you allow something to change it might change for the better. So to counteract this move you have to find ways to suppress greatness. In fact the USWA is lucky to have had me around this long the way they've treated me in the last couple of months. I’ve kinda been shuffled to the back after being promised main-event status from Zach Bohannon.
Noah: As you know King, Bohannon isn’t running this company anymore so whatever he told you doesn’t mean crap. Speaking of this, what do you think of the new direction the USWA is going?
Esteban: At first I was a little weary of the new direction. They shuffled the established guys to the back and refused to allow them to compete. In fact I went from main-eventing the weekly cards, to not having matches for almost two months. I started wrestling indy shows just to stay in shape. Since then, the direction has allowed me to return to the ring and has given me some opportunities and even allowed me to bring my friend Jacques to the company and with him by my side we will go forth and conquer the USWA tag team division.
Noah: I’m glad you brought up Jacques and the tag team division. This Thursday night you have a match with Brandon Hinz and his manager BJ. Now it’s a well known fact that they are Canadian. Will this have an affect on your match Thursday and what do you have to say to them?
Esteban: Noah, you’ve known me for a while and you know how I feel about wrestling my fellow countrymen. I enjoy wrestling fellow Canadians, it allows me to enjoy the match and know that the fans enjoy it too. Even when I was having classic matches with Justin Runion I wasn’t enjoying it and neither were the fans. When Canadians wrestle the fans get technical excellence and a match they can remember for years. Thursday when the Royal Canadians step in the ring with Hinz and BJ the fans will remember the match for years. Now I realize that BJ is a woman, but I don’t see that as a problem. While it’s true that women can’t traditionally hang with men I feel that if they can step into the ring then they can hang, so don’t expect me to ease up on her when she gets in the ring. When two Canadian teams compete with each other expect to see four combatants that can stand toe to toe and face to face while delivering the greatest display of wrestling excellence that anyone has ever seen. Brandon Hinz, when you step in the step into the ring with the Royal Canadians then you’ll wish you were American because then I would ease up because you couldn’t take it, but you’re a big tough Canadian so it’s on Thursday. In fact, Hinz you bring yourself over here now and we’ll see the winner of the match right now. I mean, why would anyone want to want to get defeated by the tag team to end all tag teams the Royal Canadians. Thursday we’ll wait in the ring for you and if you show up we’ll beat you, but if you don’t show up then we’ll assume that you were too yellow to wrestle and you have disgraced the Canadian nation. So either way you’re up a creek without a paddle so my suggestion is to show up, but we’ll understand if you run from the next USWA tag team champions. No team can beat us. No one can be us. We’re the first dynasty of the USWA and the next tag team champions. The Royal…Canadians!!!!!!!
