The Forgotten One

(Disclaimer: Warner Brothers and JK Rowling own Harry Potter. I am simply borrowing them for creative and recreational purposes. The only ones I own- so far in this chapter, anyway- are Maria, Roz and Courtney.)

Fear.

That's what Ginny felt, anyway. After all, Virginia had never done anything drastic in her whole life- not at her own will, anyway. But Ginny was tired of being the third wheel all the time- or, should she say, the7th.

"And Ron thinks he's shoved out of the way. Ha! At least he has friends. And he's left some mark at Hogwarts. All I've ever done is got myself possessed by Lord Voldemort and nearly killed a lot of people," Ginny muttered bitterly.

She supposed she had friends; Maria was always really nice. But she had Roz and Courtney. There was Neville, but he was in a different year, and so was Hermione.

Hermione was probably Ginny's closest friend. But whenever Ginny tried to be near her (and Harry and Ron), Ron pretty much told her to "get lost."

And as for Ginny's other brothers, well... Bill, Charlie, and Percy were all busy with their own lives. Fred And George, well… they had each other. And Lee Jordan.

Ginny trembled; She didn't want to do what she was about to do, but she had to. Slowly, she got out of bed. She packed clothes into a small bag, and crept downstairs, trying not to awaken anyone.

She found some Parchment, and a Pen. She wrote a quick note.

Mom, Dad and family,

I'm really sorry, but I couldn't stay here any longer. I feel as though I am not important in this family anymore, and I'm leaving. Don't worry about finding me, I'll go somewhere. I'll be just fine. I'll actually be happier. I can do what I want. I don't have to worry about pestering anyone.

Goodbye,

Ginny

P.S. Mom, Dad and Bill, please don't be upset. And Ron, tell everyone I said goodbye, and tell Hermione and Neville I will never forget them.

Ginny stared at the note. It looked like a note written by some desperate kid. "I dont feel loved.... how fake." Ginny said to herself. But there was no erasing it; She had to leave it that way.

Quietly, Ginny left the burrow, without looking back.

It was dark, and Ron hadn't seen Harry anywhere; He couldn't find Hermione anywhere. He was starting to get worried. All of a sudden, he heard, "He's dead! Cedric Diggory is dead!"

Ron sat up with a start; He'd been having that nightmare for awhile now. He thought that he couldn't have possibly gone thtrough anything as bad as Harry that night, but for some reason, the dream recurred over and over.

Ron looked at his clock. 8:01 A.M. "I'll try to get back to sleep." Ron thought. But as soon as he layed down, he heard, "Oh my god!"

Ron jumped. That sounded like his dad!

He raced downstairs, followed by his mother.

"Dad, what's…"

Arthur was holding a piece of parchment in his hand, looking terrified.

Percy was paler than the parchment itself.

"Whats wrong, Arthur?" Molly said. "Is it Harry?"

"No." Arthur shook his head.

"Then what.."

"It's Ginny." Percy managed to squeak out. "She ran away last night."

A/N: Ok, Ginny's running away, and her entire family just found out. And I know Ginny is a bit whiny, and is running away from her own problems- maybe she's almost selfish. But the story isn't necessarily about what you think it's about.... *errie music*
