Siblings: We suspect that this Thomas is the brother of href="http://www.angelfire.com/tn2/peardon/william.html">William and Ann.
Immigration: William's immigration is assumed to be between 1853-1860, and according to family legend, Thomas came with him. Thomas appears on the American census in 1860, so we know he arrived no later than that year.
Place/ Ship: Unknown
Marriage: Most likely prior to his immigration to the US, as his wife is also English.
Place: Probably England
Occupation: Listed as a miner in the 1860 census in Cherokee County, GA.
Mary ? Peardon
Born: c. 1830
Patsy believes that Thomas and Mary are shown in the 1880 census as living in Mahoning-Carbon, Pennsylvania. This is pretty speculative, as they are listed as "Purden" (although that in and of itself doesn't discredit the record, as William Peardon had his name misspelled on one census) and their ages are reversed--with her being older than him by two years. She is also listed as having been born in NJ. To me that's a lot of information to get messed up, even for a census taker at this time (although no one could seem to get William's birth year correct, they do at least always show him as being older than his wife by 5 years). It is certainly something to explore, as is figuring out where they where in 1870.
