Honor Guard Ceremony
During Police Memorial Week, the team is tasked with providing several honor guards. In additon to the two full services provided for the City of Knoxville and the Fraternal Order of Police, they also provide flags for the service provided for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and local civic groups.
Flag Service
Only members of the Special Operations Squad are allowed to participate as part of the Honor Guard.
Special Events
During Accredidation review and with the Department's approval for community functions, members of the squad provide a static display of equipment and vehicles. They also discuss the mission of the squad and ability of members to respond and deal with many types of situations.
