There are several interesting articles to be found (especially read the one about Oral health for Pets because I wrote it.) Check out my friend Simon. He has his own spot on there also.

Okay peoples. There is a local festival called Riverbend (checkout RiverBendFestival.com )
Well, anyways. While I was there I listened to Edwin McCain (who was really awesome regardless of what those two older women behind me thought). I also listened to one of what people call the "other" bands. Lo and behold I heard a sound that caught my ear and stole my heart. The group is called DaVinci's Notebook (check out www.davincisnotebook.com
They were soooooo good. If you like comedy with your musical moment, catch them when they come to town! You won't be disappointed.

For those of you that might be wondering what kind of music I listen to. Good question. I listen to just about anything. Blues, Celtic, Rock, Jazz...and the list goes on. Some artists that have made it into my CD collection are Creed, Edwin McCain, Garth Brooks, Blessed Union of Souls, Savage Garden, Celine Dion, Mozart, Handle, Blues Brothers, Seal, Phil Collins, Bruce Springstein...

We all know about the recent happenings of the world...NYC, the Pentagon.... I just want to take this time to say good luck to my friends who are in the services... You guys know who you are!

I attended basic training at Ft. Jackson, SC from Jan-April 2003 and was in the 2/13 INF, Foxtrot Company, 3rd Platoon BlackHawks. "e;If you stay ready, you ain't gotta get ready! HOOAH!"e; I'm in the process of trying to put some basic training photos online, but I have to find the time to do this. nbsp; I was assigned to HHB 196th Field Artillery Brigade in Chattanooga, TN.  HOOAH! Welcome home 281!! I am out of the National Guard now. I miss it too.

I was also able to work on the American Chestnut Tree Project Fall 2002. Chattanooga Chestnut Tree Project Home Page
I am currently attempting to grow three chinkapins. Hopefully they will be strong enough to plant outside in the spring.

Okay, so let me introduce you to my kids.

Flubby...what would I do without my Flubby?  My brother named her, so don't ask.  She's a chow-chow mix and is very loving.  She's about 7 years old and probably is my best friend.  I tell her everything except those things which I am bound to secrecy.  Flubby is my running partner and we watch each other when strange people come about or stray dogs.

This is Gabrielle, or Gabby for short. She is about three years old. Gabby has a unique story. She was found abandoned under a house by a rather friendly Rottweiler. She was bottled fed by the owner of the rottie until she was roughly 4 weeks old. That was when I took over. I bottle fed her until she was old enough to wean at about 6 weeks of age. Since then she has been a brat and a half, but I still love her just the same. She has a bad habbit of getting me out of bed at 6:00 in the morning wheither I want to or not. She has saved me from being late to work on several occasions. Gabby also loves to pounce on bugs and go shopping at the local pet stores.

I have another dog named Ick A Tick's Brutus Marcus. His call name is Brutus. He's a Labrador Retriever and is my sweetheart. He's always happy to see me. I have a parakeet named Spirit. He stays with me, but I haven't gotten a good picture of him yet. I also have a turtle named Junior (after Indianna Jones in the Last Crusade). I have three hermit crabs named after the three musketeers.

What about me?  Well, I am a veterinary technician and I take distance education courses from Cedar Valley College. I am also the head technician at East Ridge Animal Hospital and am liscensed in the state of Georgia. As you might tell, I am an avid Trekkie and I love to write poetry. I studied Tae Kwon Do under a friend who is a Second Dan Black Belt at Rising Son TKD. I enjoy the classes a lot and love the chance to socialize with people who can think in terms of fighting strategy like myself. Oh, who am I kidding. I just love going up against people who can pose a challenge to me in the ring.  :-)
