  • Raised in Springfield, Pennsylvania

  • Both Parents were teachers
  • Recieved first guitar in third grade, at age 8 from his parents after seeing The Monkees on TV
  • Formed first band in third grade- they played on stage at Scenic Hills Elementary School, the school where his mother taught
  • Started geting serious about 15 or 16--started to grow hair long, and was in several local glam bands such as Fascination, Shove, Telepath, and Diamond. However, they were mostly cover bands, and didn’t have much of their own music
  • Senior year (1979)-- started playing in bars
  • Almost dropped out of school to follow in the footsteps of his greatest influences - Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, and the Rolling Stones
  • One of the original members of Cinderella
