r. stevie moore met vic lovera at 1211 16th ave So,
(later music row), nashvillian tenna,
late January 1971.
rsm had dramatically just left home, after
dropping out of one semester at vanderbilt university
("studies too hard, tuition too expensive for dad")
and fellow highschool rebel terry blankenship
assisted in procuring a
$20 room for him to live
in.
there, stevie essentially BEGAN his renegade
career, one cheap tape recorder, a puppy, numerous
loose sexual liasons, occasional cheese sandwiches,
pot & acid free-flowing, old friends visiting,
gettin' a job at a record shop, buyin' a kharmann
ghia from pete spero's brother, and tryin' to grow up
FAST!

ONE DAY, from an adjoining room, some
new TENANT was blasting a FIRESIGN THEATRE album, and
THEY MET!
turns out, this same guy had also
been overheard playing & singing a lot of gorgeous
original Paul Simon-styled folk-pop in that very same
room.
so, there was much to discuss!
a Legendary Friendship was Born!

FOR THOSE INTERESTED, THIS MEMORIAL WEBSITE HOPES TO
CAPTURE THE INTENSITY THAT THE
LOVERAMOORE
EXPERIENCE eventually BECAME, WAS, WAS NOT,
AND ULTIMATELY PERISHED.

Victor Alan Lovera
tragically passed away in NYC on
Wednesday May 13, 1998
(2½ weeks before his 48th birthday),
the day before our hero FRANK SINATRA died.
Vic had been a sickly-type
from the moment we met, but it later seemed to
suddenly slip away unexpectedly in the blink of an eye.
And he was gone.

Victor was a magnificent friend,
inspiration,
co-conspirator,
partner, etcetera ad infinitum.
We 2 created hours & hours of
outlandishly brilliant MUSIC together.
Come hear..........

Loveras Gwendolyn and Victor
begat:
son HARLAN (11-30-82)
&
daughter VICTORIA (10-20-86)

"And as long as there's a person called Victor, me, and a band called Ethos, us, there will never be a moment when I lay down my efforts and say 'Enough. It's finished.'" (from RSM's "Ob Newschk" - Pre-Fame Interview, Spring 1973)
