The University Area Sertoma Club was chartered in 1978 and has been serving the greater Knoxville area ever since. Service-To-Mankind, the acronym of Sertoma International, has been an important focus of the University Area Club, but we also understand the importance of forming lasting friendships, joining together for fellowship, a true sense of community teamwork and having fun.

To support our community, we have organized and implemented many different types of fund raising tools and events. Each year, the leadership of the club along with the members seek worthy recipients for the fundraising efforts.

Second Harvest is a non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger in East Tennessee. Working out of a 21,000 sq. ft. warehouse, Second Harvest gathers and distributes rescued food to over 500 food pantries, soup kitchens, and other emergency food providers in 18 counties.

This event in its first year was instrumental in providing Second Harvest food bank with enough funds to provide over 100,000 meals for those in need in our community.  This is an important function,  it is fun and brings together many former UT athletes, community leaders and activists in a sprit of generosity.
