Make a Difference… Volunteer!
We had another
phenomenal weekend at FCAR. A huge thanks to all of the volunteers
that spent their entire weekend - Saturday AND Sunday - at the
Petsmart Grand Opening. We adopted out 9 animals this weekend
including many 'old timers' so we are extra excited by our
results.
We are changing our
monthly adoption day schedule to:
2nd Saturday of the
Month - Petsmart
3rd Saturday of the Month - Petco Cordova
4th Saturday of the Month - Petsmart
After weeks of
planning & preparation we are ready for our big event this
Saturday at Cameron Brown Park. Be sure to tell your friends &
co-workers about this exciting event and let me know if you are
interested in volunteering. A separate email to all scheduled
volunteers will go out tonight as well with more details.
If you are
interested in volunteering please email Laurie at
fayettefcar@hotmail.com.
Our Rescues
New Arrivals
Ozlo, a year old
cattle dog mix, was rescued last Friday night. Other than
contagious mange he is a healthy boy.
Higgins, a 4 year
old beautiful bassett hound is currently being treated for
heartworms.
Winter was
returned... she is a black & white lab mix that was adopted a
couple of months ago.
Adoptions
The
following babies are currently all in new homes! What a weekend!
Warren, a 9 month old german shepherd
mix, was adopted by a single man in a townhouse. I spoke with his
him this morning and Warren is already going to the door when he
has to potty and is getting along great.
My beautiful Celia Jo was adopted by a
lovely older couple that had been praying for the right new
addition to their family. When I checked on her Sunday night Celia
was curled up by the new mom and everything was going wonderfully.
She has a large backyard to play in with a doggy door that goes
straight into the house and 2 new parents that are home all day
and ready to love on her. We had Celia a year this month but I
just knew that the perfect home was waiting for her!
A family fell in love with Hoodie, our
round brittany spaniel mix, and he is now living with a family
that spoils him.
Goofy was adopted by a recently divorced
gentlemen that needed some companionship. He has a large backyard
to play in although he will primarily be a house dog.
Nutmeg was adopted by a family with 3
other dogs and she started playing and having a great time before
we had even left the house. That is amazing when you realize how
painfully shy she was when she was first rescued by FCAR.
Mandy was adopted by a younger couple
living in an apartment. After a day of being somewhat shy she is
already playing with their other dog and walking on a leash.
Napoleon was adopted and his new mom was
cradling him and already telling him that he was going to be
sleeping in the bed.
Clifford is living with a new family who
has a Pomeranian and another beagle to play with.
Roadie was driven all the way to
Nashville to find his perfect home. We have already heard from his
new owner and he is doing great. A huge thanks to our volunteer
Jessica for making that long drive to make this perfect match! |
