1999-2000 Executive Council
is a program that uses a pyramid of mentors. It forms a family-like relationship of cross-age mentors. is a network of support that builds strength for everyone much like a family. This unique program pairs volunteer professionals with college students, college seniors with underclass college students and underclass college student mentors with at-risk high students. These high school students in turn serve as mentors to junior high students. These junior high students subsequently serve as mentors to selected sixth grade students. In this manner the mentoring is enhanced by the multiplier effect. will thus be an effort to support the family concept, not replace the family. will provide students with more opportunities to bond, to connect, and to certainly become a part of a positive caring network of stength and pride.
