STOP THE HATE
Why do you want to be a member of a nongreek organization?
Why dont' you just pledge a real greek organization?
You nongreeks are just Frat groupies/hoes/sluts etc!



We've all heard these comments on various places on the net. Well now its time for it to come to an end. Now the following is a "keep it real" and true response and answer for all those who critize or hate nongreek organizations. We welcome all responses!!! Feel free to email us but do come correct. If you can't respond in a mature manner in which this was written then don't even waste my time! Keeping It Real!!!

Alpha Angels/Golden Roses/LBGs/Sweethearts, Omega Pearls/Essence/Gems/Sweethearts, Sigma Doves/Carnations/Stars/SOUL/Sweethearts, Iota Sweethearts, Delta Beaux/Gents, Cavaliers/MiAKA, Zeta Knights, and Sigma Rhomeos are all known as "Nongreek auxiliary groups" and were created and under the guidance of their perspective greek organizations to groom and prepare young women and men for greek life. One exception is the Kappa Diamonds/Kittens/KKI/PGI/Sweethearts which was started by the girlfriends and wives of members of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc.
These young women and men were already exposed to greek life, learned the history of all the fraternites and sororities, parliamentary procedures, and participating in community service projects. We (auxiliary group members) were more that prepared for the journey into greek life. However many of the members chose not to "go greek" and become a "soror" or "frat" but remain nongreek. Now many greeks will deny this because it isn't in their history books and because of the disbanding vote in the early 90s but its true. Over time the nongreek organizations grew larger and more independent. Tensions grew between the greeks and nongreeks. Greeks saw us as being disrespectufl because we chose not to join their organizations. It was not a matter of disrespect or we think we're better than you, just a matter of free will. So in 1990 all National Pan-Hellenic fraternities and sororities voted to disband their affliations with auxiliary groups. However we still exist today, many have come into their own by getting incorporated (Krimson Kourts Inc.; Pretty Girls Inc.; Women of Omega, Inc. etc.) and are contributing to the community. Now they might not have the vast amount of resources that the greeks have but we do give 100%.

Okay now to address the whole issue of us (nongreeks) being Frat groupies or hoes. First of all, you must don't believe everything you hear and most importantly don't judge an entire organization on the actions of one or a few individuals. The next thing that is to be addressed is the myth that in order to become a "sweetheart" you must sleep with a member of that greek organization. No, we didn't have to sleep with anyone to be come Kappa Diamonds. All we did was attend an informational rush, completed an application, interviewed, was selected, and completed my path into Diamondland. The Men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. takes pride in us for being most respected. We are active in on/off campus events. We have always presented ourselves as ladies and were treated as such. Now if there are young ladies out there who feel that they have to sleep with a member of a any frat in order to be apart of their auxillary then she has been misguided.

Now to all the sorority women, are your "sorors" who were members of auxiliary groups hoes too? You say you love your sister but would you love her any less if you found out she started out as a nongreek? THINK ABOUT IT!! We (nongreek orgs) began in a good spirit...a stepping stone to greek life. Today you have people who pledge just because they like that organizations colors, or because they are most popular on campus, they step the best, to get sex, or just to say they belong to something. They have no idea they just want to be down and not dedicated. So don't knock nongreeks because we are PROUD, DETERMINED, AND DEDICATED!! Remember that we all have choices to make in life, and choosing to be nongreek is just another one and should be respected. Well we hope we've opened up your minds and shed a positive insight and light on the situation.
