Elias Williamson was born in 1810 in that part of Floyd County Kentucky that later became Martin County KY. He died in 1881 and is buried in the Marcum Cemetery on Tick Ridge on Jenny's Creek in Wayne County west Virginia. He was married on 26 June 1828 at Lousia, Lawrence County, Kentucky to Malenda Marcum. She was born in 1813 and is also buried on Tick Ridge. She was a daughter of Moses and Edy (Bryant) Marcum.
