Need Proof?

Here are some examples of the prophecies from the Old Testament about Jesus that were fulfilled in the New Testament:

1. MESSIAH BORN TO A VIRGIN:
"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel." ISAIAH 7:14
"This is how the birth of Jesus came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be with Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit." MATTHEW 1:18

2. MESSIAH REJECTED BY HIS OWN PEOPLE:
"He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not." ISAIAH 53:3
"He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him." JOHN 1:11

3. MESSIAH WAS TO BE GIVEN VINEGAR AND GALL:
"They put gall in my food and gave me vinegar for my thirst." PSALM 69:21
"They offered Jesus sour wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it." MATTHEW 27:34

4. THEY WOULD CAST LOTS FOR MESSIAH'S CLOTHES:
"They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing." PSALM 22:18
And they crucified him. Dividing up his clothes, they cast lots to see what each would get." Mark 15:24

5. BONES NOT BE BROKEN:
"Do not break any of the bones." EXODUS 12:46
"Now it was the Day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath. Because the Jews did not want the bodies left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken down. The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other. But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs." JOHN 19:31-33

6. DIE AS A SACRIFICE FOR SIN:
"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." ISAIAH 53:5-6
"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live to righteousness." 1 PETER 2:24

The following is a prayer for you to pray to receive Jesus if you have never made that commitment before.

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I need your forgiveness. I believe that you died for my sins, and I want to turn from my sins. I now invite you to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name. Amen.
