This cabin has all the amenities that you would find in a larger cabin, but on a cozy smaller scale.
The Treehouse cabin is our Pet Friendly cabin. Pet friendly yes..... but so clean and well kept that you would never know that it was. The cabin is within minutes of downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge,Dollywood and the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The Treehouse cabin is a compact and very cozy single story log sided cabin for 2 guests. Well behaved pets over 1 year of age,are welcome with our prior approval(certain breed and size restrictions apply.)Please see our pet agreement for details.
The Treehouse cabin, located in a forested paradise for our guests with or without pets,is located in a beautiful wooded setting near the top of our 23 acre property. And although it is located about 200 feet from the main house, the cabin maintains it's complete privacy because of the forest that surrounds it.
We built the cabin post and beam style, all dug by hand, which meant that we were able leave almost all the trees intact around the structure.The remaining trees that were too close to the cabin,were simply built in to the surrounding decks.
There are a series of stairs and landings that wind through the woods and trees that take you to the Treehouse cabin.(There are a total of 26 steps down into the woods).When you enter the cabin, you are close to ground level, but because it was built on the hillside, you will be up in the trees when you reach the back deck, hence the name the Treehouse.
This cabin sits on the hillside high above a small creek below. Relax
and unwind on the screened porch or on the main deck, and listen to the
peaceful sounds of the water as it flows gently by. The sound of the creek
varies with the weather, faintly to rushing, depending on the rainfall
and the season.
This cabin also has a bathroom with a spacious 4 ft. shower,washer/dryer
and vanity. The small full kitchen has an electric stove with self cleaning oven,small
dishwasher, built in microwave and a restaurant style dining booth. The
living room has a cathedral ceiling, Italian porcelain tile floors throughout
and round log siding.Other interior walls are finished in beaded knotty
pine.
The dog gates that we provide will allow more freedom for your pet to roam the deck area(small dogs may be able to fit through the railing.) There are also several areas to walk or exercise with your pet. Please be aware that we have animals of our own that are not leashed, and they have free run of our 23 acre property.They are very friendly,and have gotten along with other animals that they have come in contact with that are leashed. Our pets include a Collie (Taylor)and her daughter a Collie/Australian Shepherd (Kobe)and 3 cats.
For the avid bird watcher,this cabin has a wonderful view of the surrounding
woodlands and is a perfect place to enjoy the large number of birds that
frequent the area.
From April to October you can watch the Ruby throated hummingbirds that
visit to feed from our nectar filled feeders.
This private Gatlinburg cabin is the perfect retreat for those looking
for a peaceful,romantic and quiet getaway,yet it is located just minutes
from downtown Gatlinburg,the Arts and Crafts Community(2.5 miles) downtown
Gatlinburg(6 miles), Pigeon Forge(6 miles),Dollywood(5 miles-you can hear
the whistle of the Dollywood train as it beckons you to visit),and the
main entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park(9 miles).
Many of our guests return again and again and have found that our cabins are a destination in themselves.Although there is a lot to do in the area,they just can't wait to return to their cabin to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and unmatched private and park like settings.
